Punchline (1988)
It does not get any unfunnier than this film
Here is a film loaded with unfunny, boring jokes and annoying characters. I can honestly say I did not laugh at one joke in this movie. It is hard to believe Fields and Hanks actually took money for starring in this flop, not to mention compromising their integreties. Giving it one star was generous. It was a waste of over two hours of my time. If you are not in the mood to laugh, this is the movie for you.
Rush Hour (1998)
Chris Tucker is no Eddie Murphy
This movie would have been so much better without Chris Tucker. He didn't make me laugh once and with his creepy eyes he would be much more suited to do horror flicks. Any other actor could have pulled it off, Tucker falls flat. Jackie Chan's move were Bruce Lee quality as usual. Jackie Chan 's performance is the only redeeming quality to this slow-moving, yawn of a film.
Goodfellas (1990)
Goodfellas
As an Italian I think the film portrays my people in a bad light, although I'm not Sicilian and hope people do realize there is a difference between Italian and Sicilian. Having said that, all in all a good film, full of action. I also am not a fan of De Niro and Bracco, they both irritate me to no end, especially Bracco in that whiny, nasal voice of hers. On the other hand Ray Liotta gives a brilliant performance as usual.
Untamed Heart (1993)
Christian Slater the only redeeming quality
I do agree with the other reviewers it is a touching story line if you can get past the annoying performances of Marisa Tomei and Rosie Perez. Tomei overacts throughout the movie, actually appears to be struggling with the part. Rosie Perez as usual brings to mind, what was Hollywood thinking? Over the top annoying accent, worse than the chalk on the blackboard annoyance. This is the second film Rosie ruined for me, after It Could Happen To You.
Christian Slater is the only redeeming quality with his flawless performance. Without Tomei and Perez the film is a 10.
