The Nerdist (2013)
3/10
Boring
23 May 2013
I have a feeling that this show is not going to live long. The only thing that keeps the podcasts interesting are the guests, and the more each guest gets to speak, the better it is. The TV show is a lame alternative to the podcast.

There are just so many things that I find annoying about the show. Especially since it has a lot of potential to be amazing. The only thing the hosts of this show need to do is ask their guests some questions that the viewers might find curious, and let them speak for a change. I know more about Chris then I do about my mother, he really loves to talk about himself, what he likes, his showbiz career (which is random and not that exciting - since I'm being honest) and last but not least, how much of a nerd he is.

On top of that, there is a lot of cringe worthy brown-nosing. We get it, some of these people are pretty cool, but again, viewers don't need to hear it. It's not that I have anything against them expressing their admiration for somebody, it's just that you get tired of hearing a detailed description of how much Chris loves a certain show and how he's met a certain cast member and how he thought that they would have a major attitude and then he found out they actually didn't... etc.

And to add to the list of annoyance, the various games and skits they do on the show are not entertaining, and one gets the feeling that they are designed to be added to their showbiz gag-reel. Like 'hey, let's do a sitcom thing and maybe someone will see it and give us a deal for a sitcom'.

Lastly, the show isn't nearly nerdy enough for those who are nerds through and though. The Nerdist is basically a nerd-lite phenomena.

I assume Matt and Jonah together could make this show both nerdier and better. But that being said, I genuinely think all of these guys are nice people and I have nothing personal against them. This show as a whole just doesn't work for me. I give them credit for the effort, but it's just not for me.

I would recommend the Kevin Pollack Talk Show, The Howard Stern Show or The Adam Carolla Show, for those who feel the same way I do.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (2012–2017)
9/10
Entertaining and lovable characters
21 September 2012
There are a lot of close minded people that go out of their way to trash talk this TV show for the simple reasons that; they don't agree with the lifestyle this family has or they think unscripted television shows are are garbage simply for being unscripted. If you are one of those close minded people, I suggest you go watch another one of those scripted, predictable, boring doctor/police/collage/sitcom/drama shows that are everywhere.

If you have an open mind and an interest in getting to know different lifestyles, and colorful and funny characters, this might be something for you.

The Shannon family has a low income household and they may even be categorized as "red necks" by how they talk or the way they live their lives. But so what? By watching the show you learn that they are a happy loving bunch. The dad (who stepfathers all the girls expect for Alana) is a hard working blue collar guy who very obviously loves his girls and his partner June (the mom). The mom is more or less the star of the show, along with Alana. Yes she farts and is overweight. But she's a really fun and caring mom, and she's absolutely hilarious. The honey boo boo child herself is the icing on the cake in this show. She's just an endless source of humorous catch phrases, and pretty much everything that comes out of her mouth is comedy gold. In other words, this family is nothing like the Kardashians, and that's exactly what I love about them.

If you want to laugh, get to know a quirky family and don't take yourself too seriously, then tune into "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo".

Extreme Honor (2001)
1/10
If you enjoy watching porn movies just for the acting, this might be a film for you
1 November 2009
Wow, where does one start with a movie like Extreme Honor? I caught it on TV a few days ago and I can tell you that I now have an answer for the next person who asks me what's the worst movie I've ever seen.

Yes it's that bad! Everything in this movie is bad. The acting is comical, the action is awkward, the screenplay is badly written et cetera. The lead man, Dan Andersen, is about as charming as an old toothbrush and he obviously has no experience or talent for acting. While watching this movie I kept asking myself, was there no one in the process of making this that realized how poor this movie is?

I couldn't find a trailer for this movie anywhere but I suggest looking up "Extreme honor Scene 5" on youtube for a preview.

The only reason one should watch this pathetic excuse for a movie is for a good laugh at the awkwardness that this movie is.
