Worth a watch!
27 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My kids really wanted to see this being big fans. I'm not a fan, but I seen some stuff from from a YouTuber (MatPat), with his Chanels Game Theory and Film Theory... pleasantly surprised to see a cameo with him. Actually felt like it was an A List celebrity... films should do this more. He deserved to be in it, due to the amount of work he put into his videos about this franchise. ANYWAY, besides that, I thought it was an entertaining movie for the family (kids being from teens to twenties). I personally would have wanted more horror, but if that's the level they want, it was great! Looking forward to a sequel!

Looking for a Horror film? Watch this!
14 September 2023
-I kept seeing reviews about the first half being strong, and the second half, a bit lack luster.

-In my humble opinion, this was good throughout the entire film and the twist or the direction of the film was great.

-While looking through rotten tomatoes, trying to find the best Horror, I chose this even though there was some weak ratings. Wasn't disappointed.

-Acting was good.

-Lighting was dark.

-Effects looked good (though I think some things should be practical, rather than CGI)

-The cliche parts pay off in a satisfying way.

-It was kinda hard seeing "Homelander" not being Homelander, even though I've seen him in other roles without thinking twice about it, but thats just me wanting some more "The Boys" at the moment.

Anyway... good flick. Have some fun!

Different, and still enjoyable!
15 September 2022
I thought this was going to be just a straight "Horror" movie... and I guess it was? Though maybe it was kind of a mystery/thriller? I'm not sure. But, sure, it was definitely horror and I enjoyed it. Then I thought about it afterwards, thinking, was there more of something that was going on, and how quite far does this rabbit hole go. I wanted to know more, and since this is an original film (I assume), I'm kinda hoping for a little more.

Now there were some dialog scenes that dragged on a bit too long, and one scene near the end felt a tad bit campy (I feel it could have been a lot more dramatic with a strong horror flare/element... at leat a different camera angle), but hey, it is what it is.

Now it was anything like the movie Malignant, it just gave me that kinda feel. Maybe the trailer was just way off from how I precieved it. But this was different, and I enjoyed a a whole bunch!

Entertaining, but doesn't feel like the finale.
10 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Entertaining, but it just doesn't feel like a finale for such an iconic property. They just opened up too many doors in this universe that I wanted to explore. Definitely not saying it ended poorly... I left the theater saying it was good, and so did my family. Just thought there would be an Avengers level threat for the last chapter (not that food shortage is some joke, just saying villain wise).

Sure, it probably would have been better if it was more of a "dinosaur" contained series, but pandora's box was opened and now I want to see some more clones and genetically modified monsters.

And It's always nice to see our favorite lizard king, the Antagonist-Rex tag in a partner before biting the big one, even if it is some forest creeper this time. But I was hoping for a redemption arc for the Spinosaurus, guess it'll never be.

Gotta say, though... probably the best car chase (motorcycle) scene I've scene in a film. And there were lots of other cool scenes mixed with humor and emotional elements. So not bad at all... just way different from the original (so I can see why people were starting to dislike the franchise). But hey, life finds a way. #evolution.

It's "ok"
24 December 2021
-It's "ok".

-I was really looking forward to this, and even though it was fine, it just felt like a SciFi channel flick with better special effects.

-And I'm not just talking about the story. For once, I was actually digging the real world more than the Matrix, because the fight scenes were actually very boring. They lacked excitement... and the use of slow motion and this one horrible special effect which I don't even know what it's called (it's like scenes are blurred with a super low frame rate), which was over used way too much. It became distracting.

-And about the story... I thought it was an interesting idea in the beginning with the main character but as far as the plot, I didn't really find anything interesting to the development to the series as a whole. But it did have some cool ideas with things going on in the real world.

-All in all, nothing I would care to watch again.

"Art" available to stream right to your television.
22 November 2021
-Character development, art design, comedy, drama, action scenes... I believe everyone that worked on this series did a fantastic job because it really shows! It's just a well rounded show and really I'm glad I came across it and gave it a chance.

Went from good to awesome...
7 October 2021
-I watched this show when it first came out just for laughs. It was always pretty funny, and still is, however this 3rd season felt completely different.

-It seemed like it's really developing into more of a quality anime with lore I'm really wanting to explore and get invested in.

-Didn't really expect that coming from this... their kind of nailing it!

Gotta appreciate new ideas...
11 September 2021
I actually thought this was going to be that typical generic horror film that needs to be made to keep the studio's lights on. Especially from watching the beginning... the acting was horrible, it wasn't scary at all but looked like it was trying to be, the hospital looked very CG, everything shouted "made for TV" movie like something you would watch on the SciFi channel late at night.

However some scenes just started looking better, like better film qualty, then the acting got better, there was some intense drama, all in all, it definitely made me invested in it somewhat early on after losing me, but what makes this stand out is that it's something new, something I haven't seen before. When the film revealed it's secrets, it was really entertaining watching them play around with it. Hell, I wanted more from it.

I think this could have been truly epic if they worked on it a bit with the story, got rid of a a couple things, and went even scarier for that horror element (no complaints on that comic relief peppered in there).

Anyway, cool stuff in here, worth a watch in my opinion, always good to see something new and fresh!

Great Ending!
29 August 2021
I was kind of, "not bad, it's ok" during this movie, thinking it was a pretty mild version of Escape Room. I assumed it was pretty obvious what was going on, but the twist fooled me... actually didn't figure this one out.

At the end I started to like this even more and the ending made me want a sequel.

Lots of potential here for a franchise if they do a little world building with a sequel.

Could have been good, if only the agenda was set aside...
29 August 2021
I think the directing, acting, and especially the visuals with the story telling was really good, but the constant racial side agenda was a bit distracting and took away from the plot... made me look forward to the dinner I was going to have after the movie cause I just wanted to get through the creator(s) personal point of view I'm now getting force fed, instead of a cool horror movie I thought I was coming to watch.

In the end, I think we all came here to see He-Man "Smash"
26 July 2021
Most of these reviews are negative because people believe they were misled, and it's obvious why. However, the writer has a vision, and I'm sure there's more episodes planned, so I say relax and let's see what Kevin Smith has planned.

As a kid, I was a huge He-Man fan. Had the lunch box, the play set with action figures, etc, and you know what? ...I don't care what happens in the show as long as it's a good show (and honestly, I didn't remember a damn thing from back in the when when. All though Orko did ring a bell). Nostalgia is nice, sticking to source material is good, but I just wanna watch entertaining content.

And this was entertaining. Nothing really BAD about it. Some action, some comedy, decently illustrated, and great voice actors.

(Though to be fair, I would have gone a different direction with the main character, but we still gotta see what happens.) The first episode was great. The other episodes were fine, they just didn't hit like the first.

In the end, I think we all just came here to see He-Man "smash".

Need More! (spoiler noted at the bottom)
12 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Just happened to see this in my imdb recommendation list. Gave it a try because I was in the mood for something midevil-ish, despite kinda getting turned off by the cover which looked kind of out dated. Gotta say, there's some magic here and I Need More! I don't know why I haven't seen it advertised on Hulu when I was specifically looking for stuff like this. I wanted to give it a 10 but I personally like some comedy thrown in to break up the seriousness. Some seriously shocking moments in here that make me wish it was a new show so I can quickly go on social media and see what other people were saying. I really hope a studio picks this up for another season because I really like the direction it was going and the relationship between the characters. A whole lot of unfinished storyline. *Spoiler* I wanted this to happen but it didn't, but maybe season 2 will do it... I really wanted Claire's awakened form to look just like Teresa. Maybe with a not so faint smile. I thought it would be poetic, actually seeing source and force of Claire's true power.

Keep watching...
24 November 2020
Started this anime just to give it a try. The first half of the season wasn't that bad... but then it started to pick up steam, and I actually really enjoyed it! Especially the character Yang, voiced by Ian Sinclair (which I personally love hearing) (*Whis, from Dragon Ball Z*), he brought a lot of comedy to this role. Post credit scene hints to a second season, and I hope that happens. Worth a watch!

Good!
4 September 2020
When you have a metal bender quickly rip off sheet metal and force it around her for armor during a battle sequence, you know you're watching gold.

It's full of quick 1 second moments that if you look away for just a moment, you miss some great visuals.

Fantastic!
21 December 2019
This is a GREAT show and has amazing potential. The only gripe I really have is some time line jumping that I didn't really even know was happening and was thinking wow, some of these actors look like other actors, but they were the same characters in different time lines. Putting a little banner on the screen with the date would have fixed that (in my opinion). But all in all, I really enjoyed it.. looking forward to season 2!

Incredible!
3 December 2019
This was really good... just jump in and go for it! Odds are you won't stop until you finish the 12th episode! Comedy, Action, Heart, Animation quality, everything you could want in a old fashion war era with advanced robotics.

As strong as the fighters are that we see, I'm eager to see what the contestants will be like in the following seasons.

A fun watch..
13 October 2019
Just happened to see this as a recommendation in the "included with Prime". Well I like fantasy, as well as CGI, so I gave it a go. Definitely a pleasant surprise with this movie. It had descent effects, voice actors, jokes, ect... all in all a fairly well rounded animated film!

Potential!
22 August 2019
I really enjoyed Wu Assassins. The plot is a little out there... kind of like what you would expect from an anime series. But it's filled with lots of lore to explore, and characters I want to see more of.

The only big problem I have is with the digital effects. They're pretty bad... it's almost kind of funny. A good comparison would be the Mortal Kombat films from the 90's. Just like that!

Bottom line, it's a fun, mystical, action thriller that needs some more seasons to flesh out what it brought to the table.

(Oh, and if you're reading this and have connections to the show, please don't waste an easter egg of Katheryn Winnick watching and rooting for a Minnesota "Vikings" game)

Fantastic!
19 September 2018
Excellent series; definitely worth watching! I didn't expect much going into this (seemed generic), but I gave it a try and I'm sooo glad I did. From the art design and music, to the voice acting and subtle details, it's very well done.

The only issue I have is the lag refresh rate movement of the animation. I've seen it before in other series so I'm not sure if its a type of style, or error, but if you binge the show in one sitting, you might forget about it.

on it's way
22 August 2018
Each opening foreshadows the coming episode, the jokes are funny, and the animation feels nostalgic. All in all, this series left me wanting more, and its definitely on it's way to greatness!

My only gripe would be that they didn't elaborate on the jokes... it's like they walk you through it so you would understand. But definitely worth a look!

*post credit scene on the last episode*
