Person of Interest: The Crossing (2013)
The best POI episode so far
Person of interest has shown its capacity to break out and make a bold move. And it isn't the death itself that haunts you, but the mind-blowing build up. The events leading to Carter's death were shocking, moving and thrilling at the same time which brings me to the problem with the show's genre.Its a little bit of everything. And so was this episode. I was thrilled (The Hospital Scene), shocked (the fall of Carter), overwhelmed (the kiss), emotional (Shaw saving fusco's son) and what not. I am getting exactly what I signed up for. A dark, chilling look at the future that we may be living in. Best show on TV currently.
How I Met Your Mother: Last Forever: Part Two (2014)
Love it/Hate it
Just finished watching the finale. And it is a LOVE IT/HATE IT finale. I liked it and it was the perfect end to the show.
=====SPOILERS======
What else were people expecting? That Ted would meet her and live happily ever after? The series has been focused on Ted and Robin moments so it was pretty obvious how he would wind up with her. Barney's playboy demon was finally exorcised by a baby girl. And Lily and Fudge Supreme were as they haven been since the first season. I did not cry at the end but I was satisfied and was able to let go the fact that it is over. I am sorry but a happy ending is just boring.
Hannibal (2013)
Poor man's True Detective.
I am fine with a show that is dumb and knows its dumb (The Following). And intelligent shows where they know it is intelligent (Person Of Interest, True Detective) but when the show has misconceptions about itself, the result is not pretty. The cast looks stellar and is good enough but is treated badly. I cannot relate to any character nor can I empathize. I hope it gets better for the fans but I may not continue further. I can see why people like this show and have no complains for them but based on my opinion, this show loses its pace early on and gets really boring. I can call Hannibal "poor man's True Detective". P.S. big fan of Mads Mikkelson who is stunning at the psychopath.
Suits (2011)
Why the hoopla?
Some Spoilers ahead.
Granted the show has some good characters and sharp dialogues. But so far, no case has been good enough. It is just too average. And I am not blaming it for being average. I just don't understand the 8.9 rating (I know how the rating system works.) Now, let me point out some stuff that bothered me. In the first episode Harvey hits on a waitress and she denies. Next shot goes straight to his house where they just had sex. That is not just cheesy, but also lazy characterization. Mike Ross' aunt or grandma being in the hospital is not exactly original either. The next few episodes have some good stuff but nothing that justifies the hype. I will not be continuing further. As I have much better shows to watch.
