Blockers (2018)
A disappointing waste of time
You know there's something wrong when the genre of the movie is 'comedy' but you haven't laughed a single time for the time of 1h and 45mins which is the lenght of this film. I was impressed by the trailer but so disappointed in this. It's so cheesy, cringy and unfunny.
Every Day (2018)
It just doesn't work
What we have here is a solid story that is different than anything out there (at least slightly) but the movie just fails to represent the story. The film is very slow and predictable. I know it's centered for a younger teen audience but honestly they can't sell the dreadful product this movie is.
I've actually read the book and I really enjoyed it, it was fun and romantic and it also had some twist and turns. I feel that this movie presented the spoiler topic or even the LGBT one very poorly. In the book these two topics make an impact to the reader and here I just didn't care as a viewer.
Over all, I don't have anything that positive to say about this film so I'm leaving this review. I'd advice to try other teen rom-coms because there are so many out there and this one will probably waist your time.
Viharsarok (2014)
Stunning, glorious and truthful
This is an indy european film so I predicted it would probably either suck or I would probably just not understand it but I was extremely wrong. "Land of Storms" is a very powerful movie without even doing much. There's barely any dialoge and the action is reduced to the minimum, yet it doesn't feel dull or boring at all. In fact it got my attention from start to finish. The ending was very Shakespearean!
All in all, I will definetly recommend this movie as it's based on a true story and you see how cruel the world actually is and how love sometimes is destined to die in it.
All She Wrote (2018)
Nope
I really didn't know what to expect from this movie but I though it would be cool and very dramatic, but it just was plain boring. I didn't feel any connection to the characters or the story. I didn't feel any kind of emotion watching this. Should I have laughed? Should I have cried? I don't know. This film it's just there.
The performance wasn't excellent either. I mean the main actress was pretty awful, sorry. She could've tried better. The representation of a character with autism was just inacurate and lazy. Also the cast could've worked better on it's accent and talk more clearly.
Over all, I'm pretty disappointed with the movie and would not recommend it. Sorry to be a bummer but that's just my opinion... and the truth.
