Doragon Bôru Zetto Fukkatsu no 'Efu' (2015)
Resurrection of Dragon Ball Z!
This is the Dragon Ball Z Movie experience I always wanted. While Battle of Gods was an amazingly fun light-hearted adventure, this is the badass action-packed DBZ that we wanted since the Cell Saga.
Goku and Vegeta have now ascended to Gods with Whis as their new master. I absolutely loved the exploration of Goku and Vegeta's character dynamics and development throughout the training scenes, with Whis not only being a physical mentor but a spiritual one as well.
Bills provides much of the comedy in his own unique manner as one of the best new DBZ Characters ever. Speaking of new characters, I'm pleasantly surprised by Frieza's new minions, especially Sorbet as he's actually useful throughout the movie and not just fodder like the rest of Frieza's army. The invasion scene was amazing as it put the Z warriors back in the spotlight and gave the movie some much-needed tension. Especially Gohan; not since his fight with Cell has he been this badass!
Speaking of badassery, the very definition of the word, Vegeta, finally gets his time to really shine (there are no stupid bingo scenes in this one...) - it is straight up brawls in that over-the-top fashion we all know and love delivered by the Prince of all Saiyans.
In the end, the 15th DBZ Film featured the return of the greatest Anime villain of all time: Frieza in a Battle of Gods with the Super Saiyan God Goku. It's just classic!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
Turtle Power!
This is one of the funniest, light-hearted action films I've ever seen! Any person who screams this movie is screwing up their childhood or doesn't get the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is completely wrong. Kevin Eastman (co-creator of TMNT) has worked on this project since the very beginning and he along with Director Jonathan Liebesman delivered their best work yet.
The cast and crew embraced the ridiculous nuance in the source material and made a better movie for it. Every joke works and the interaction between the 4 brothers is spectacular, you can tell these actors have wonderful chemistry! Megan Fox is fine as April O'Neil and that's the best compliment I can give her. Splinter is the wise mentor archetype but they have fun with him as well, including a hilarious pizza scene much in line with the Turtles past incarnations. In fact, there are a ton of nods to previous incarnations! Everything from the visual style of the Mirage Comics to the goofy antics of the original cartoon series. Even the 2003 Series and IDW Comics get their due!
The action scenes were amazing, there is a nice balance between the fun 'video game' brawls and the more seriously bad-ass Ninjutsu duels! All the spectacle you'd expect from a big-budget Ninja Turtles story is there and better than ever. The CGI is up there with some of the very best. These Turtles were fully realized and crazy! I can't wait for the sequel and return of Turtle Power. Cowabunga!

One Piece: Wan pîsu (1999)
One Piece Greatness!
One Piece is The Greatest Shonen Anime/Manga of all time.
It features a grand adventure full of colourful and developed characters, each with their own unique goals and dreams. The narrative is extremely well-paced and intriguing with great writing and presentation; the Animation and Music are both incredibly top-notch. They give each Arc/Location it's own style of atmosphere which makes the series very innovative. This coincides with the genius storytelling that balances badass action scenes and hilarious comedic moments. One Piece is also a very memorable show with gorgeous imagery and designs. An example of this brilliance is in the backstory for the Punk Hazard Arc where a character with a Fire-type ability battles an Ice-type character for a long time in one location, an island. This results in a contrast of settings and characters because half the island is covered in Ice while the other half is engulfed by Fire, so different variations and ideas are explored in just one Arc!
Finally, the series just knows how to have fun and not be overly-dramatic like many other Animes. This in turn, makes the few brilliant dramatic episodes all the more impactful!
One Piece is a True Classic.
