Woody Allen Wannabee?
13 February 2006
A film that explores human relationships, the need and the loneliness that envelops many people, those "wounded animals" of the title that populate cities in the Western World.

The couples in this film are unable to communicate, we can see their needs but they cannot explain them to each other, let alone fulfill them for each other. Unhappy and alone while next to each other.

So, drama, couples, city life, lack of communication and the comic tone that Ventura Pons uses to portray the events surrounding his characters.

That may sound roughly familiar but he is, unfortunately, far removed from Woody Allen; he barely manages to create living clichés. His characters soon become flat and unbelievable and the movie inevitably flounders.

This did not happen, for example, in another of his movies: Beloved/Friend, which was truly worthwhile.
