The Devil All the Time (2020)
Like a breath of madness
The movie was deep and touching, but incredibly dark. Slow pace cinema. Incredible characters all well played. If You like dark movies You will love it. Loved that author had the Voice in the movie. One to remember.
Hüvasti, NSVL (2020)
Masterpiece with warmth
I was living there at that time, I have also Inkeri and estonian roots and maybe that is why I enjoyed the movie even more. I was very impressed about the mixing of languages and the warmth of the movie. Very correct style, clothes and humour. One of the best movies I have seen lately that sent me back to my childhood places. Nostalgia. And very real story.
Brave New World (2020)
Why not say yes to both loving books and loving TV and having freedom to create?
I did read the book so long time ago that I did not remember the details. Just that it was an experience. Deeply memorable book. Specially since I read it while being living in Sovjet as a teenager. Btw 1984 was not aloud, but Aldous Huxley was. The TV series here is something else, but the characters are loosely the same. I just feel it is like a kinder egg- great book and very good sci-fi series. Why not love the idea that some writers were so much ahead their time. Both Huxley and Orwell. And never forget that the original writer means his book also as critics. So Praise the Freud and praise the Ford. And never forget blessed be the fruit. Looking forward to see more, I am in the middle. And can recommend this one. Been one of the best series I have seen during pandemic.
Homeland: Designated Driver (2020)
This episode could have been the last
Me and my hubby thought this was the end of Homeland. Like with Hannibal Lector and agent Starling. We Even checked that there is more to come.
Tenet (2020)
New Matrix movie
I did very much enjoy this movie. Saw it once. Happily I have lived both in Tallinn Estonia and Oslo Norway- so it was a must to see. And I have been at Amalfi coast, that I reckonized. Noticed those places and it is a good advertisement and also fun to see on movies. I have been very big Matrix movies fan and now I love this Tenet movie. I am very sure that they will make more sequels. And I will for sure watch :-) The special effects were amazing also. Great idea and good script.
The Grave (2019)
Very interesting series
This is absolutely recommended if You like science and different plots. Very exciting to follow.
Gone Girl (2014)
After seing the film but reading the book later
Well. In these corona times I ended reading the book today. I have seen the movie before. Will have to see IT again. When I read the. Book I realized I had seen movie before. Still in awe of both and will see the movie again, since story is just unbelievably interesting. I dont think the movie without the book is as good.
Heksejakt (2020)
Story from almost real life
Anyone who have followed in Norway Tore Tønne case will realize that this series is partly based on true story.
Hjem til jul (2019)
There will be season 2
If You have seen the first one or Wonder if You like - me and my hubby loved it. They will be making second season now. Very cozy series and I thought it is nice to know for anyone who have seen it or will enjoy it in future. Looking forward to more.
State of the Union (2019)
Brilliant to watch
Great comedy with heart and truelly reckognizable moments if coupleship. Great acting. Good humor. Could be any couple we know or meet in mirror
Quicksand (2019)
What a masterpiece
I have read the book first. Kept me awake few late evenings. The author is lawyer and daughter of the crime writer who is one of the most respected in Sweden. Learning that it will be a film made me almost anxious. Can swedes create the same excitement and love and hate drama. I also asked the youngsters I know in family to watch. They have not read the book obviously. They are too busy studying hard and then partying with zest. I did now also watch this and I promise it is a masterpiece. The law system suprised me and the movie is one of the best I have seen. All thanks to nordic dark and deep cinematography. Can recommend of all my heart.
Child 44 (2015)
This is must see- for most
I just so much got into the story. Actually IT is also well directed and made. My own mother is adopted from Sovjet orphanage. What she remembers is fighting for food, she had to swallow IT before all was taken by others, bigger kids. Many and oh much more we ever will know happened then at these terrible times. I liked the way movie was made. IT felt truthful. Recommended. Gave me sense of honesty.
