The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023)
Avoid watching this at any cost
One of the dumbest plots I've ever seen, reason & common sense have no place in this story, and the acting is even beneath amateur stuff!
This failure of a movie sucked BIG TIME, and I'm only writing this review as a contribution to humanity to save others from the ill fate I had to suffer when I watched this piece of trash over the course of 3 days (yes, it was so damn boring that I couldn't finish its 2 hours on just one sit!)

American Born Chinese (2023)
Boring as hell!
I downloaded this show after I saw the trailer (which seemed promising), and after watching the first episode I just had to finish the whole thing because the plot made me curious... However, the more I watched of it, the harder it became for me to continue, because the show kept getting slower and less amusing! But I challenged myself & insisted on getting the job done, so I watched it all till the very last scene... And, now I want those wasted hours of my life back please! I demand a refund even though I paid nothing to watch it... Dunno, maybe that's the divine punishment for people like me who watch movies & TV series thru torrents instead of subscribing to Netflix.
A Man Called Otto (2022)
This is the kinda movie you watch with someone you truly love
I'm a sci-fi & comedy junkie, and drama isn't my cinematic cup of tea, not to mention drama that's filled with mushy teary scenes... HOWEVER, I've adored watching every single moment of this film!
It creates in you sentiments of happiness, sorrow, laughter, depression, feeling so alive - all at once and like no other movie or TV series I've seen before.
In all aspects, this was utter perfection: the heartwarming story, the smallest details in the plot, the colorful dialogue, the magnificent directing, ... oh - and my God how brilliant, sincere and touching the acting was (Tom Hanks was superb, but so were all the other actors in the film!)
I look forward to watching this masterpiece someday with people who mean the world to me... it's an experience that's worth sharing with close loved ones.
Midnight Mass (2021)
I rated it a 10 while watching S01E04
I rated this series a 10 while watching S01E04 (Book IV: Lamentations) because of one scene:
the "what happens when we die?" conversation between Erin & Riley.
That alone was enough for me to seal the deal and love this show unconditionally from that point on.

Pantheon (2022)
Just finished watching season 1, and it's friggin' divine!
I didn't bother to look up the word "pantheon" in the dictionary till I'd reached episode 7 of 8, ... why? Because the events made me hooked to watching instead of wanting to do anything else till I could figure out where the hell this AMAZING storyline leads! There wasn't even one dull moment put there just to burn time & fill space (which is quite tempting and usual in anime & cartoons); every single second (literally "every single second") has counted for adding something informative, new and significant to the rapid proceeding of this epic tale.
The sci-fi that's applied here was very legit & smooth, though it was also formidable... And the logical sequence of how the narrative flows was just impressively convincing with zero plot holes.
An absolute 10/10 from me, and I can't wait for them to release more episodes & seasons of Pantheon.
PS. Pantheon:
1. A group of particularly respected, famous, or important people.
"the pantheon of the all-time greats"
a building in which the illustrious dead of a nation are buried or honored.
2. All the gods of a people or religion collectively.
"the deities of the Hindu pantheon"
House of the Dragon (2022)
The finale of season 1 made it perfect
I'm not gonna talk about the good vs bad in this TV series, nor will I talk about what I liked & disliked in it, because anyone who watched Game of Thrones would know what to expect here (it's a continuation in the form of a prequel) ... however I'm only gonna say that even though I was hesitant about loving it after watching each episode, my sentiment turned into an overwhelming adoration for it after watching the finale of the first season (and in particular: the last 2 scenes) ... It steamed up the occasional somewhat stale drama & somewhat slow pace into a storm of dragon fire, and made me absolutely sure that the next coming seasons will be exceptional & glorious in all their details.
Andor (2022)
After watching the first 3 episodes, I'm loving it
The first 3 episodes were released on the same day, and they make a luring intro movie to a very promising & a very enjoyable TV series.
Andor contains all elements that made The Mandalorian a masterpiece and a highly-profitable highly-successful cult franchise: it's dark (yet humorous when needed), stout-hearted (with a touch of sweet human weakness that the viewers can relate to), and there's a gradual smart buildup of the hero character.
That being said, I still believe The Mandalorian will remain the flagship of the Star Wars universe, and that it'll always be a notch above any sub-stories they bring to life.
Primal (2019)
I cannot do this animation justice, but I'll try my best here
First of all, I gotta say that I had decided to wait till the end of season 2 before I'd write & post my review, although I basically knew what I wanted to say right after watching the first episode of season 1... I simply wanted to be accurate & fairly critical in my assessment of the show.
Well, Primal is like nothing ever made before; it's brutal & savage yet heart-melting & gushes with emotions at the same time, it's crazy yet filled with wisdom at the same time, it's fast & abundant with action without a single doll moment yet suspenseful at the same time, it can be perceived as an animated documentary yet it's also filled with fantasy & imagination at the same time...
BOTTOM LINE:
I have never (and I literally & sincerely mean "never") seen anything more beautiful & powerful than this animation; not a TV series, not a movie, not an anime, nothing!!!
I'm a huge fan and I love the usual inspiring magical popular animations like "Dragon Ball" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender", etc --- but still; this is something else... I cannot find the words to describe how much I adore it and how much I'm fascinated by it; you just have to watch it and judge for yourself.
The script is written superbly in a way that will make you empathize & sympathize with the main characters limitlessly, to the degree of swaying you and changing your psyche & preconceived thoughts! It made me hate the Vikings and the ancient Egyptians for their ruthlessness & selfishness, especially regarding their enslaving other peoples (and I'm someone who was addicted to the TV series Vikings!), and it made me love the name Mira and her Lebanese/Phoenician culture, language & roots, and it made me wish I had a dinosaur for a pet/best-friend!
And I really have enjoyed getting brain-washed like that! Lol
JUST WATCH THE DAMN THING (if you still haven't), and thank me later.
DC League of Super-Pets (2022)
As good as a Superman movie
I thought since this was animated and revolved around animals/pets it would be made for kids and less in plot & emotional effect than a regular superhero film, but boy was I wrong! Everything about it was just perfect, and I have enjoyed it to the max and would recommend watching it for all. Oh, and it's definitely not just for kids! :)

Prey (2022)
My favorite of all the Predator movies
I personally believe this movie to best even the original Predator (1987) movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger... The native American theme gave this one heart like no other part of the film franchise. I've enjoyed & loved every minute of it.
The Sandman (2022)
PERFECT.
Creativity-wise and imagination-wise, The Sandman is in the same level as the TV series Loki (and that's HUGE) ... I loved every single minute of it, and I had to watch season one in full on a single day because I just couldn't wait with all the suspense!
The Orville: Future Unknown (2022)
A great finale to a great season
If it wasn't for the footage defect appearing @10:33 as a red spot on Dr. Finn's face (on her right upper lip to be precise) when Isaac asks her to marry him, this would be another perfect episode.
However all in all, I'd say this episode wraps up a marvelous season suitably.
Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022)
A heartwarming joy to watch
I'm a very straight guy, yet after seeing this movie, now I'd love to buy me a specially-designed fancy Dior dress for myself! Lol
Every small detail about this masterpiece was perfect... It's definitely Oscar-nomination-material.
Fleabag (2016)
One of the best dark-comedy series ever
This short TV series is not merely about comedy, but I claim it's filled with useful life lessons that we all could do better with.
I definitely would love to see more seasons & episodes of it, but I reckon it ended perfectly, so I'm content with what I've already watched.
The Orville: Identity (2019)
Every episode of season 3 is better than the one before!
I loved this show from the very first episode I watched of it, even though it was just coming out fresh and people had low expectations and had some reservations... however, season 3 has been exceptionally sensational so far! Every single episode of this season is epic, and this one in particular tops them all.
The Orville: From Unknown Graves (2022)
An exceptional episode, BUT...
As great as this episode was, it did not make sense at the end that Isaac would have to choose EITHER going on with the procedure that would make him feel while "losing his memory", OR to turn it all down... I mean: Isaac could easily back-up his memories (which are saved digitally)
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022)
If Star Trek TNG is your favorite, don't watch this.
I've always thought TNG was utter perfection, but then decades have passed and this came along, and I no longer can make up my mind about which series is mightier & more majestic!
"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" is an absolute flawless masterpiece.
Archive (2020)
Majestic in all aspects
I loved everything about this movie: the plot, the acting, the location in which it was filmed, and above all the unexpected ending.
It definitely deserves a higher rating than its current 60-something%
Rubikon (2022)
This is a very good sci-fi movie, with yet another farce of a low rating!
Everything about this movie was great: plot, acting, special effects and even the small details... yet somehow the rating (under 5/10) is low to a degree that raises serious questions about who's behind those stupid numbers.
Cryo (2022)
Not a total waste of time to watch, but not great either
At first I thought this movie was trying to imitate the glorious sci-fi series Dark Matter, but then I realized it's the type of plot that tries to convince the viewer that the writer is smart, even though he's only mediocre.
Men (2022)
I can't say it's crap, but I can't say it's good either
Too many things are unexplained in this film, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with sci-fi (as it is classified on IMDb), and it has so little to do with actual horror; it might be best classified under "psychological mystery/suspense"... I did not like it, yet for some unknown reason I did not hate it either! If done in a different way (after changing many things about it), it might have a shot at being a decent film.
Soundwave (2018)
Good idea, lousy implementation
The scientific concept behind the movie's idea is intriguing & promising, however the plot & script -alas- have more holes in them than in a sponge.
A must-watch, on fast-forward.
Spell (2020)
Excruciating, but I loved every minute of it
In this "horror" movie, there is more pain & suffering for one black man than there was for any character in the classic iconic TV series Roots! I loved it, but I had to watch it on several days to preserve my sanity & peace of mind.
Severance (2022)
I wanna rate this TV series 100, why am I allowed to rate it only 10?!
The series starts somewhat cold, and you feel like wanting to quit watching due to the distress & pain the characters suffer... However, by the time you watch the last episode of season 1, you feel like you've just received the highest rush of your life!!!
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Way better than I was expecting
I was saving this film aside for quite a while, because I assumed it's just another horror movie (I don't scare easily so I find the horror genre kinda boring), and I finally watched it yesterday... well, the truth is: it's more fantasy than horror, and I was surprised by how brilliant & enjoyable it was!
