The Cleveland Vampire (2013)
A Cleveland Let Down!
Cleveland has been home to some pretty marvelous films. American Splendor, O in Ohio, and few others have been nice gems. However, the Cleveland Vampire is as bad as it gets. It feels like it is a parody of itself which would make it ingenious, but sadly it is not. This is how they are teaching to make films at CSU.
The director, if you can call him that, Michael Kwiatkowski wanted to make vampires scary again since they seem to be romanticized currently by big hits like Twilight and True Blood. He failed since the only thing I did was laugh at the main villain with his "Beavis" haircut and over-sized fangs.
Except for Lexi, the actors seemed a bit out of place. Especially the leading lady. She wasn't your typical lead and I don't mean that in a good way. She was too "plus sized" to have any business being in the film except as the vampire's Thanksgiving meal.
If you value your time, ignore this abortion of film. You'd be better off watching the Vampire Diaries...or a Michael Bay film. *shutters at the thought*
Windy City Heat (2003)
WCH needs a sequel!
I watched this film when it aired on Comedy Central. It was late, I was half asleep. I didn't expect to make it all the way to the end but I'm glad I did. This is one of the funniest prank films out there.
It reminds me of Impaled: Painfully Blunt! In that film, they set up a guy named Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey who's running for president of the United States. In this film, Scary Perry is being set up. Perry expects to make it big as a Hollywood action star. Instead, his buddies put him through hoop after absurd hoop.
I was expecting an angrier reaction from Perry after the film but it never really happened. I don't want to spoil anything but over all it was a funny and unique prank only because Scary Perry is a unique guy.
I highly recommend this if you're into Bad Grandpa and Borat.
