Champion (2023)
Mad drama, good music, trash parents
This is a show that's based in the UK, centered around a drama filled but talented Caribbean family that is doing their best to move through without much needed therapy. I cannot stress enough how upsetting all the parents are on this show though. It's disgusting. However it's a good show, with good (and sometimes great) music, and across the board good acting. I appreciate that about it. The show is easy to get caught up into and hard to walk away from completely. My wish is that amidst all the drama and backstabbing that some of these characters could've made more responsible decisions. We can't be all bad.
Fleishman Is in Trouble (2022)
The ugliest crying in TV history is here
This is a great show, perfectly narrated and scored, with all around good acting and stories. There's good sub stories laid out well and every character is interesting in their own way.
This show keeps your interest all the way through every episode. I have mistakenly watched multiple episodes each sitting regardless of not planning to.
I do have to admit though, that the minimum amount of required characters for a review being six hundred charactersis somewhat excessive, forcing me to purposely ramble far beyond the first 1-2 sufficient sentences. One character, you will see, has the ugliest crying faces and sounds I've ever seen.
Everything's Trash (2022)
Everything's trash on Hamilton's head
Those uneven locs are unbearable. This show is about black people that are rarely around black people. Every episode has multiple trash outfits and hairstyles and conversations. The lil girl is funny tho.
Only Murders in the Building: Persons of Interest (2022)
Adding Amy Schumer brought this down 3 stars
Good you have the show back, with interesting enough details and good re-establishing and continuance of the story. Adding Shumer was just as unfunny as it was unnecessary.
Abbott Elementary (2021)
PLEASE get the principal outta here
The principal is obnoxious and not funny in any scenes. Throws off the whole show. She even looks into the camera too much and it's awkward every time. Outside of that it's entertaining with a good cast and good writing.
I Care a Lot (2020)
The worst movie I've seen in years
Not only is it bad, but it's unnecessarily drawn out, has too many unrealistic moments and qualities, and is an extremely frustrating storyline. I really wish I could get the time wasted back. I also wish I read the reviews first smh
La casa de papel (2017)
Great show, way more drama than action
The show is awesome but the English voiceovers at times are not clear so captions are helpful. And the characters make mention of "like in the movies" WAY too many times. It's annoying and distracting. A couple of the actors aren't as good as the main ones and the side stories are sometimes drawn out too long. But overall this is a show I can enjoy but not good enough to binge watch. This is a soap opera with a twist that's all.
Furthermore all the moments when guns are drawn inside of the mint are useless because we know these people aren't killers and nobody's killing each other, especially fellow robbers.
