Gekijouban Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel - I. Presage Flower (2017)
Suspenseful and fast-paced
The third route of the Fate series, Heaven's Feel Presage Flower does not waste time covering those scenes that it would have shared with the other two routes, FSN and UBW. Presage Flower fast forwards through those scenes during the intro and cuts straight to the action-filled plot. (So you need to watch FSN or UBW before seeing this version). Excellently animated fight scenes and a plot that keeps you wondering about the characters' fate. Some humor too. But overall, a much darker feel to FSN and UBW. A must-watch for fans of the Fate series.
Uchiage hanabi, shita kara miru ka? Yoko kara miru ka? (2017)
Good with flaws
Two boys like one girl. Girl likes one boy. Girl plans to run away with boy. Runaway plan goes awry until supernatural events intervene to allow boy to replay day's events. From that point, viewers will have radically different satisfaction levels with plot development. This anime is a blend of sci-fi, alternate realities and romance. Great soundtracks make up for plot not being fully realized.
Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (2018)
Beautiful story, wish there was a sequel to this anime!
A heartfelt story of two characters who find each other at different stages of their lives. Both had given up on their dreams but after meeting each other, they develop a new zeal for life. The story cleverly weaves humor amid a tender emotional backdrop. Plenty of suspense as plot keeps you guessing. Highly recommended watch.
Hakushaku to yôsei (2008)
Excellent Victorian anime
A fairy doctor (if you don't know what that is, you'll have to watch the series). A dashing rogue. A mysterious inheritance. And best of all - a cat who loves scotch. Action, suspense, romance, humor abound in this short but satisfying anime. Set in Victorian England, the story touches on various, intriguing myths and legends and has some distinct historical value. Don't miss out on watching this anime if you can.
Lost Song (2018)
Overlooked gem
Great anime with plot twists, beautiful soundtracks, memorable characters and a mix of humor, suspense, action and romance. While not everyone may like the direction the story eventually takes, this is a strong entry among Netflix's original animes.
