Bats (2021)

Well.....

I understand that in a zero to ten rating system that minus numbers are not possible, but if I could I would give this movie a -3.75. It's not a full minus 4 movie, but almost as bad as that. The acting is pretty bad and the directing is just as bad. It's just not a good movie. But I bet they had fun making it. Good luck next time.

Coming Home in the Dark (2021)

Great dark slow burn with excellent comedic lines

Great dark movie with great music, some great comedic lines, and a slow burn. I liked this movie because it was different. It's a dark movie with some violent scenes that can catch you off guard. The main villain has some great lines of comedy that add to the hopelessness of the victims by exuding the confidence of his actions. The music sets the tone and there are great songs that set the feeling and carry an otherwise slow part, and there are some slow parts that drag. All in all I loved this move. One of the better ones I've seen in a long time.

The Girl Who Got Away (2021)

Kept me watching

While there are some things lacking in this film. It did what so many others films today don't do, it kept me watching. Captivating story that keeps you watching and wanting to know what happened while constantly wondering who did what. Great scary sound at the right times. Some acting/actors that need a little more practice, but the main actors held their own. Some great filming at points. Not an academy award wining film by any means but a solid effort of directing and well worth the watch.

This movie is a good action movie and although I expected a little better was good enough to keep my interest through the entire time. Aside from the woke comments I would recommend it.

If you're looking for an Academy Award winning movie go back! This movie does exactly what you want it to.....great parody of a current event. The audio overdubbed is fantastic! Highly recommend high!

Evil Dead (2013)

You have to appreciate this movie for what it is....a gore fest. Great filming. Fantastic directing. Great special effects. And good comedy. This movie gave me everything I was expecting...and MORE! Very entertaining. Those who didn't give this a good review were probably looking for a different kind of movie. Go figure.

Life (I) (2017)

Overbearing music to make up for lack of suspense

Could be a great movie, but why have constant overbearing dramatic music in every scene? Great films like Alien relied on the characters, acting and story line to create the drama, not a symphony. Disappointing.

While intriguing, this movie fails at almost every turn. Interesting music, and interesting enough to keep some viewers watching. But after wasting 2 hours of my life, I was completely disappointed. No payoff and no lingering thoughts of what it really meant. It meant "I want to make something so different nobody will connect any dots to anything in life." Here's a thought, if you want to keep people interested in what you're saying, have a point. Or at least a vague notion of one. This is a very disappointing movie.

C.C. & Company (1970)

Worth the watch

This movie was beyond my expectations. Classic time period with great 70's scenes like the white haired, mullet cut, headband singer at the dance! Nice choppers and some female eye candy. Great 70's music! Good time comedy!

Not a riveting flick, but what would you expect form a movie called The Wolfman? I liked the cast. I would say the scenery is the best. If you are in the mood for a movie like this it isn't that bad...dark...scary...etc. But don't expect an oscar film

The Mule (2018)

Yet another Resident Evil film. That said, this movie is full of action. No real lulls in the whole movie. Alice is good, but the villain is better. Keeps you watching up til the end.

The Shiver of the Vampires (1971)

Perfect period vamp flick!

If you watched this movie expecting what a 1970s movie about vampires should be, then you probably liked it. The story simple yet effective. The music conjured up Black Sabbath and Deep Purple riffs....repetitive but effective. The camera angels and techniques were simple yet effective. And how could I not mention the gratuitous nudity....plentiful and EFFECTIVE! If your looking for a vampire movie from the early 70's you will not be disappointed. This film is a solid 7!

Viking Quest (2015 TV Movie)

Watch only if you have time to waste or really want ot see a Viking type of movie

What can I say, this movie is a solid 4 star movie. Best intentions are evident. But from the beginning you can tell this is a low budget flick. Costumes are simple, and sets are as well. Each actor looks like they just came from having coffee at Starbucks...no need for any prep before shooting the next scene. That said the acting itself isn't half bad. The story is charming and fans of the time era will enjoy some things about it. But overall just a solid 4 stars at best.

The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann (2012)

A short movie, but not short enough, Yet some redeeming qualities

Where to start. An interesting flick. Not your normal vampire movie. Tends to move too slowly. Would be a great short. That said, good camera work and scene transitions. Good use of music although I don't agree with the songs used. If you have the time to waste it's worth a look just because it's different.
