Long Shot (2019)
Guess I wass watching a different movie
Based on the trailer I had seen, I expected an amusing, easily forgettable film with no chemistry between the 2 stars. I thought the chemistry was sensational, partly because of Charliz' icy Nordic look and Seth's scruffiness. I think both of them also did a fabulous jobs as Producers of this film. The script was funny, original and insightful into the world we are currently living in and the jokes were delivered with the right timing and facial expressions. I enjoyed this film much more than I expected to. Joseph Marx, President St. Augustine film society
Time Suspended (2015)
Absolutely stunning film about memory, familial loss and historical amnesia
This film is one of the most compelling documentaries I have ever seen. It's an unusual commingling of themes as different as aging, memory loss, political terrorism and familial love that is exquisitely and lovingly photographed by the granddaughter of the woman whose children were kidnapped and murdered by the Argentine regime in the mid 1970's.
Get Out (2017)
Get Out and see this film while still in theaters
Terrific and inventive screenplay, well acted with brilliant background music that really sets up the scary scenes well. The interracial themes and sub-texts are interwoven throughout the story in very interesting and thought provoking ways. Moderate body count and not for the squeamish but I think there will be a lot of buzz about this one. Oh, and the sidekick is really funny.
