The Fire That Took Her (2022)
Difficult to watch
The family have mixed feelings about the death penalty, but the Holy Bible is clear on the matter. One's life is to be forfeited when a life is deliberately taken. Long drawn out appeals, and the for-profit, Corporate penal institutions do not help stem the tide of ever increasing murder. Many Jews, Christians, Muslims, and folk of other faiths believe in an-eye-for-an-eye.
I am not the only one that notices a general disdain for authority, and no fear for the one true God of all creation. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan." Proverbs 29:2.
The Women and the Murderer (2021)
Intense.
It was said of the women Guy Georges selected that "There was no special physical style. Brunettes, blondes, redheads. Tall and short. Not one was depressed, unemployed, lonely...or down. They were grounded women with ambitions, boyfriends." The one glaring omission in all of this is the fact that ALL of his victims were white.
John of God: The Crimes of a Spiritual Healer (2021)
John of god of this world
God warns us in the Bible to have nothing to do with mediums for it's an abomination. Also, Ignatius Loyola created the Society of Jesus, the secret army of the papacy.
Confessions of a Time Traveler - The Man from 3036 (2020)
Propaganda
From the get-go, it smelled staged. Wearing masks? Cell phones banned? Sebastian did not mention God. Pods? Free food and clothing? So, if you refuse the vaccine, you'll die? Yeah, by beheading, if you refuse the Mark of the Beast. The movie is one big plug for the vaccine and/or chip. Caring ones (robots) replacing parents, and religion forbidden? Sounds like the NWO to me. Procreation control is practiced by China. No more individual governments and countries are part of the plan. The movie is a mixture of lies and proposed plans for our future that if watched often enough, will be accepted.
Chasing Bullitt (2018)
Great production on a shoestring budget!
If you're a "King of Cool" fan, you'll love this biopic. I believe Marshall Terrill's book "Steve McQueen: The Life of a Hollywood Icon" is being made into a movie, and I can't see anyone playing Steve's part other than Andre Brooks.
Steve McQueen: American Icon (2017)
Who is this movie really about?
As a witnessing tool, I'd rate this a 7 out of 10. However, the movie's title is misleading because the production is more about Pastor Greg Laurie than Steve McQueen. A much better biographical film is "I Am Steve McQueen" (2014) by Director Jeff Renfroe. Also, I believe Marshall Terrill's book "...The Life and Legend of a Hollywood Icon" is being made into a movie.
First Reformed (2017)
Greenpeace Ad
Michael wants to abort his unborn child, but any real believer would keep the baby, or put him/her up for adoption. Children are a gift from God, and not a species like an animal.
We should be good stewards of our planet, but not to a severe level. The earth is quite resilient. Jeffers likens extremists (intimating right wing, Bible believers) to jihadists. Additionally, the song chosen by Michael for the scattering of his ashes yells out loud Agenda 21.
When Michael asks Pastor Toller "Can God forgive us for what we've done to this world?"...a mantra repeated often, Ethan replies "Who can know the mind of God?" Whereas, the answer is a resounding yes. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
"I know that nothing can change, and I know there is no hope." Not only is Toller gravely I'll, but he flagellates himself with journal entries, and meditates on depressing words from Thomas Merton, a Roman Catholic monk. Martin Luther was also a monk and practiced self-flagellation until he came to the knowledge of the truth. He learned and believed that his comfort, hope, forgiveness of sins, and right standing with God lay in the truth that Jesus paid his debt in full. Unfortunately, Toller tried to earn God's favor and forgiveness by strapping barb wire around his torso, and drinking Drano.
Skins (2002)
Revealing look at Reservation life.
Wonderful, yet heartbreaking tale of the American Indian's struggles with alcoholism, unemployment, and besides religious ritual use, drug abuse as well. Part of Mogie Yellow Lodge's last words read from a letter given to his brother during the funeral service were "...what if hell is real?" Mogie went on to say he had a 50-50 shot of making it into heaven, when in reality the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
"Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, "Do yourself no harm, for we are all here."
Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said " Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..." (Acts 16:26-31a,b)
12 Ordinary Men (2005)
Who's truth?
What I found to be unsettling are the depictions of Jesus Christ being sprinkled with water as opposed to complete immersion, which is what Biblical baptism actually invoved. Also, the Roman Catholic display of Jesus holding a white, round wafer instead of unleavened bread...another red flag. As for Emperor Constantine, he may have been used of God to enable the gospel to be preached without much resistance, but only for a brief span of time in history. Subsequent Popes persecuted genuine believers in ghastly ways. I recommend you read Foxes Book of Martyrs, first published in English in 1563. It includes a critical account of the sufferings of Protestants under the Roman Catholic Church.
