Good old Thrones

Warning: Spoilers
I don't usually bother writing reviews but all you negative, ignorant buttheads out there need to be fought back.

I will not argue wheter or not this season is satisfying each and everyone of its millions of fans, cause that's not a case. Thrones was never one for giving us what we want and that's its most profound quality. It has brought a revolution in series making, a respect to sci-fi and I could go on till next Sunday adressing all of its achievements.

My point is, if you think this is bad writing, you have no idea what your talking about so get your misery and your ignorance and invest it in some soap opera, thrones is not your place.

What we have encountered since the books stopped and the guys took it upon themselves to carry on is BRILLIANT. Amazing, huge, massive sets, no green screening for the biggest part of it. I mean, have you ever bothered wandering how many hundreds of people have put their best of work, in so many different levels and matters, to bring each scene in life? I have. Hundreds of experts who have outdone themselves. Hundreds of cast members have been involved throughout the series and made did their part brilliantly and you know why? Because this show is MAGNIFICENT.

There is no way the ending was going to be satisfying. No ending ever is, but the fact that we have engaged in this show for the past decade has brought up the nastiest of some of you. Grow up.

The character arc of most of the heroes is foreshadowed throughout the whole show. Daenerys was never good, intelligent, collective. She was always her fathers daughter and her brothers sister. A half-mad,manipulative, blood-thirsty wannabe. All of it was out there for everyone to see, if you didn't you are a bad judge of character. Varys was always the mastermind and he has said and proved his loyalty to the realm. He stood by it till his last breath. Cersei might be hateful and all the rest hundreds of insults that might fit her, but we have appreciated her since day one, she did deserve her endining as much as Jamie did his, it was foreshadowed by the valonqar prophecy all along.

Yes things are moving very fast, yes, yes. It is surpring that they will not keep up this masterpiece of a show till everyone is sick of watching it, is that what you are all suggesting? From where I am standing they are wraping things up in a brilliant way, not even one of the characters was left without purpose, all appreciated and each arc completed.

I am not telling that it couldn't be done slowly and more old-thronsly, backstabbingly, but they have decided to end it and it is a great way they have chosen to do so.

I am not even gonna go about the directing, the film-making, the sets, the props, the cast. It is obvious if you have eyes to see it. What the last seasons lack of the spirit of GRRM make for the quality of it all.

Amazing. Breathtaking.

Yet another great Spanish movie. It provokes you to engage in the storyline emotionally. The plot follows the pace of the events, which just overtake you. Crucial and underestimated subjects are discussed (or not) as secrecy, sacrifice, devotion, sense of duty, decency. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts. The amazing thing is, it embraces you to feel and think along the movie. You are allowed to create your own opinion, through your perspective, there are no boundaries, no villains or heroes. Just people following their intuition and feelings. The realism of it, contrasts the surrealism of the events, without the one overshadowing the other. I didn't find it slow. Each character was allowed enough screentime to be understood completely. I admired the metaphors, the symbolism, the use of tradition and its impact on peoples' insticts. That's what European cinematography is about. Amazing movie. Investment of time.

Warning: Spoilers
The plot gives you this feeling of natural evolution of things. It doesn't rush anything, nor it is flat and boring. It just goes on and on, it keeps you focused and as the two stories unfold you get involved personally with the characters.

It is trully amazing how the two stories connect with each other. You can see clearly the metaphors Edward uses to bring on paper the hurt that he endured from his break-up. The assassination of Tony's wife and daughter symbolizes the abortion and the betrayal of Susan.

The Sheriff's cancer nakes him face the facts without the fear of consequencess. He sets his life towards bringing justice in order to find his peace. It is very symbolical considering that he is a man living alone, alienated from his daughter, pretty much caught up in work, until his life is on the line and he realises that hardly any rapists and vandals like Ray face the consequences of their crimes.

In Susan we see every woman fighting to escape being her mother, we see how artists grow cynical when they are not in peace with themselves and how insecurities considering her social profile and evolution get the best of her.

Tony is the eternal romantic artist. So much to say on this matter, not enough words to do so.

This is an amazing movie. The lack of music during the most of it gives you a sense of reality. You experience everything deeply and raw.
