Wrath of Man (2021)
Pleasant surprise
I held off watching this film
For a while and finally decided, why not? I'm gutted I waited this long to watch it now - this wa a gripping from start to finish. Star ham has out in a spectacular performance here. Not sure why people are dissing it, it's not a masterpiece but it's certainly an enjoyable movie. The pace is set extremely well from start to finish. Nothing major in terms of extreme action or graphics etc but just enough. It's not trying to be over the top like some action films. It's quite grounded and I really liked that. It's definetly a Sunday afternoon chilling movie I would watch again.
The Sea Beast (2022)
Fantastic!
This film is right my street. It has absolutely everything you could want it to be. The only fault i can say is that it ended! I wanted the story to keep going and going! I hope this is a start of a series of films or shows becquse this could be a fantastic project. I really hope it comes back for more!
Greyhound (2020)
Gripping from start to finish
I absolutely love WW2 movies and I hadn't heard of this one but my god I'm glad I found it. You are absolutely gripped from start to finish in this film, non stop intensity really gives you a feel for how it must have been like in the destroyers. Definetly one of my favourite WW2 movies and I honestly would recommend it to anyone. Tom hanks is absolutely amazing too.
Moonfall (2022)
Utterly woeful.
Wow. I was genuinely hopeful about this film. I ignored others concerns that said the film didn't look good and I went to give it a go.
I wish I had listened to them. The script was incredibly dull. The character development is non existent. The action was meh. The story was ridiculous. Even the disaster scenes weren't even that great. Just an all round flop. £140 million in this? I doubt they'll even make half back.
Dolittle (2020)
A rushed mess
This is so far off the dr dolittles from Eddie Murphy. This story could have been so much better. The Welsh accent was horrendous by downey and most of the time it didn't even feel like it was him speaking. Story just seem rushed and the film was just scrambled together for a quick money grab. Would never ever watch again.
The War Below (2021)
Surprisingly enjoyable
I find there to be a real lack of WW1 films. Most are dominated by WW2, so I also look forward to WW1 movies and this did not disappoint. For its small budget you cannot fault it. I would say one of the most gripping enjoyable films in this genre and would recommend to anyone.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Don't bother...
So unbelievably boring and underwhelming. I honestly struggled to finish watching it. Don't bother wasting your time even attempting to watch it. It's not worth it.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Carnage
I very much enjoyed this film, the comedy aspect between venom and brick was still there and the action was pretty sweet too.
I did feel the plot was a little rushed in my opinion but I hope this is not the last instalment in the venom franchise.
Old (2021)
Weirdly boring
I found myself wanting the film to end. It started off quite promising but weird camera angles, confusing jumps from scene to scene and just underwhelming storytelling lead to just boredom. I wouldn't recommend if I'm honest.
The Dig (2021)
Not bad
Lovely little film. Not really a drama type movie fan myself but I quite enjoyed this little feel good movie.
Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan (2019)
Decent
Honestly it was a decent all round film. I enjoy war films very greatly so I enjoyed it but don't think the average moviegoer would enjoy it as much as me.
Candyman (2021)
Boring if I'm honest.
Honestly I found this film tough to finish. It just doesn't grip you at-all. I wouldn't bother if I was you.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Incredible action
Not really sure what everyone's moaning at, the film doesn't pretend to be a masterpiece. It's set out to be a massive action blockbuster and it certainly delivered. Absolutely unreal and exactly what I wanted it to bed.
