Learning to Drive (2014)
Good movie,, very much worth watching
I don't understand the low ratings for this fine movie. The film is so refreshing and such a welcome relief compared to the trash that usually comes out of Hollywood these days. If you're into senseless graphic violence and over the top special effects, then this movie is probably not for you. The story has interesting characters that you care about, portrayed wonderfully by Ben Kingsley and Patricia Clarkson. Furthermore it promotes positive themes of the importance of decency and kindness. The story is an engaging slice of life tale that takes place in a multicultural city, in this case, New York but could conceivably be in any modern metropolis. Don't hesitate to give this a watch.
The White Lotus (2021)
Don't even think of watching this with the whole family.
It's hard to believe the high ratings for this trash. I didn't get past the second episode. I noticed other comments mentioning that the show will make you "cringe". That's an understatement.
Bob Hearts Abishola (2019)
Awful show
Good premise, but terrible, disastrous execution. This show is in dire need of some MUCH better writers. Making fun of a woman who's had a stroke???? Really??? That's supposed to be funny????? And the stupid laugh track is unbelievably annoying.
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (2019)
A gem of a movie
This film is not to be missed; it's well-acted and a really uplifting story- something we all need during these troubling times.
Match Game (2016)
Disappointing
Below average junior high school boys must be writing the ridiculous questions on this modern lowbrow version of Matchgame. It's painful to watch Alec Baldwin, through no fault of his own, struggling to explain the stupid questions to the guest celebrities. I'll take reruns of the classic version any day over this tripe.
