Fantastic movie and extremely enjoyable! Goooooooaaaal!
21 April 2014
I took a chance with a seed of doubt given that all the posted reviews appeared to originate from the same country of movie's origin. Being both a soccer and animation fan I was hopeful that was written was somewhat truthful.

It's a story with a life lesson that as a coach I teach my players each year: everyone has something to contribute and it is the will and determination within you and your team, that can make all things possible on or off the field.

Let there be no doubt... this movie ROCKS! A funny, action packed, highly entertaining movie with an incredible rendering of visuals that will leave you rewinding scenes over and over again. The teardrop scene, if you look closely, was absolutely stunning in so many ways.

All soccer scenes, both on the foosball table and on the field, were meticulously drawn up with such creativity that only a true soccer aficionado could imagine. For the soccer field scenes, the footwork was so realistic that you can tell they researched and replicated the best players in the world.

Disregard the naysayers, this movie is of 100% 'Toy Story' quality both in terms of story and production. Watch it with your kids and enjoy the ride.

Gooolaaaasssoooo!

Rinse, lather and repeat...
1 June 2008
This movie portrays the story of David Berkowitz in a dreamlike nature complete with haunting voices, star lens effects and twisting camera work going in and out of color/focus.

Save yourself some time and just watch the first 20 minutes of this train wreck of a movie. Everything else is simply a repeat, both in style and form as they go from one murder to another. There must have been 10 shots of David just staring into the NY skyline experiencing schizophrenia which all appeared to be shot on the same day. Fortunately, nothing is graphic or too bloody and the murders are implied. From wooden acting to Karo syrup blood effects, the film is amateurish.

Lastly, you would think that someone would at least run some of the text through a spell checker as the concluding text contained typos.

Engaging!

This movie is fictional. If you can get past this first sentence and any political undercurrents, then it is well worth the watch for pure entertainment value. You'll get hooked within minutes and it doesn't let up until it's over. It chronicles the assassination and subsequent investigation of the President of the USA in a format similar to an episode of a PBS Frontline, HBO special or a major network investigation.

Personally, the fact that the President, VP as well as other actors have been expertly video-edited into the storyline ala Forrest Gump makes it somewhat interesting, but the story itself holds its own. I actually soon forgot or even cared much that they were talking about Bush until they 'promoted' Cheney.

Do yourself a favor, don't get caught up in the political mess surrounding this movie, grab a bag of popcorn and enjoy the show.

Way overrated!
24 July 2006
I saw the high rating, read a couple of reviews and decided to spend my time watching this movie.

Needless to say, I feel compelled to warn other people that this film is so overrated and has so many 'what the heck?' moments that you walk out completely baffled.

Predictable - Could the fortune teller draw any more cards with swords? Illogical - What's with the nickle-and-diming for sex? Especially in NY! Plain stupid - I doubt a good looking girl will try to hold a 'the meaning of life' conversation with a guy she just met holding a knife. Nonsense - For someone other than a tourist to fall for Three-card Monte is plain ridiculous.

No doubt that Macy is always excellent and any screen time with Julia Stiles is a bonus, but this movie is just too far fetched.

Save yourself some time and money and avoid this movie. If you want a bunch of psychobabble and a predictable storyline then go ahead and watch this movie.
