Bowie: The Man Who Changed the World (2016)
Should be called "How Not to Make a Documentary"
I love David Bowie as an artist and visionary. The writer/director of this horrible documentary has painted the most dull and boring picture of a vibrant and exciting subject. It is almost a miracle to fail this badly. There is ZERO music of Bowie's in the film which leaves you feeling completely empty. The story telling drives you back and forth through time randomly so that a new fan of Bowie would be totally lost. All of the most important people in Bowie's life are nowhere to be seen in this disaster. There is no redeeming qualities other than the interviews of David himself.
A must-not-watch.
Jay and Silent Bob Get Old: Tea Bagging in the UK (2012)
The real personalities that brought you many funny movies. Heartfelt reality.
247 mins. of very funny one on one dialog along with great audience participation. The best reason why to watch is realizing Jason Mewes is now almost 700 days clean and still as honest as ever.
SPOILER The Edinburgh show is the harsh reality of a recovering drug addict's childhood. Jason Mewes discussing being a young child of a drug addicted mother is a detailed account and quite chilling and dug from deep in his memory and heart.
It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012)
Been a long time since I've seen a truly unique film. Bravo!
Been a long time since I've seen a truly unique film. This film has a structure like no there and is such deep meaning at so many points. The idea that life has no meaning but a deep meaning at the same time is very important personally right now. I'm sure anyone who sees this film will have their heart filled by it, yet feel empty and lonely at the same time...actually exactly like life. Animated or life action means nothing if you are telling a story that is really worth seeing. This is a must see 9/10 from me and WOW the random humans mustered it up to 8.3/10 I'm impressed :) I actually have to watch it a second time right away, and will watch it with a friend one day.
The Future (2011)
I have watched over 9000 movies, I've chosen this as the worst.
This film has an amazing idea which could have made it a favorite of mine. I could have lived through the boring lives of the cast if the main character PawPaw the kitty LIVED. I don't expect movies to have a happy ending every time but when the whole idea of the movie is built to have that outcome only to have it end with the viewer thinking, "OMG why did they make this movie? They wanted to take a part of my heart and stomp on it for no reason? This is insane!"
The person who saw it with me said, "stupid stupid awful traumatizing heart wrenching movie that killed it's best point of the whole damn thing."
