Emily in Paris (2020)
Guilty pleasure
Watching this series definitely did not teach me anything or made me a better person, it was entertaining, funny and easy to watch. If you go in with these expectations, you will probably like it.
Mon roi (2015)
Love with no filter
Very raw and emotional movie... such extreme emotions displayed with no filter... at times very frustrating, devastating and heartbreaking, other times extremely uplifting, passionate and heart melting! Truly a roller coaster...
After Life (2019)
What an increadible show!
The show was simple yet so profound, witty and emotional!! It was SO raw and beautiful ... A story about love, loss, grief and the power of human connection! So amazing...
The Father (2020)
Heartbreaking
What an unsettling, horrifying, heartbreaking portrayal of the inside the mind of a person living with Alzheimer's. The desperation, helplessness, vulnerability, and unbearable confusion of living with Alzheimer's are portrayed perfectly in the movie. Such brilliant performances...
Yek boos-e koochooloo (2005)
Boring!!!
It had its moments but it wasn't engaging at all...
Anne (2017)
I absolutely loved it!
What a beautiful and uplifting tale of resilience, authenticity, love, friendship, loss, grief, bravery, power of imagination and vision, moving past trauma, rejecting the status quo, standing up to injustice, and finding your true self... This series was like a breath of fresh air !!! So simple yet so profound and touching ! LOVED it!!!
Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)
Had it's moments but disappointing overall
Charming, beautiful animation but the story telling wasn't great... it was ok in the beginning but got boring throughout and I had to push myself to finish it.
Soul (2020)
Charming!
What a creative and charming movie about life's meaning and purpose. loved it!
Daniel Sloss: Live Shows (2018)
What a hilarious and surprisingly thought-provoking show
Extremely entertaining and well done; he also made some really good points that I'm going to be thinking about for a while !! strongly recommed!
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Cute!
Not worth all the hype it's getting, but it was still a very charming and engaging series; didn't know I would care this much about chess in my whole life ...I guess that means the show was a success!
Hamilton (2020)
Brilliant!
I had no idea the show would be this captivating! It was so different from everything I had seen before! It was funny, engaging, emotional, moving...! The performances were so memorable and witty! A rap battle between Jefferson and Hamilton? Are you kidding me ?? I was hooked right from the beginning ... watched the movie two times in one day ! And will be listening to the songs for days to come ! Definitely deserves the hype it's getting !
Beed-e majnoon (2005)
Thought provoking...
When ecstasy and pure joy turn into bitterness, resentment, confusion; when you're disgusted and confused by your past life, and the new one's too foreign and strange; when you don't belong anywhere, and your sense of self is compromised, what else is there left to do?
Three Identical Strangers (2018)
Absolutely mindblown!
"When you play with humans, you do something very wrong".
What a twisted, mindboggling story... thank God for research ethics...
Normal People (2020)
Raw, beautiful, heartbreaking
The first two episodes of the show are very slow and seem very clichéd; a highschool romance between a girl and guy from different social classes, really? Let me just say the show really grows on you, despite its simplicity, it delves into deep and complex issues and feelings; the intimacy, fears, insecurities, love and friendship are portrayed beautifuly in the show. The show compelled me to read the book; it gives it a lot of context. After reading it, I watched the show again and fell in love with it. It's a must watch!
Succession: This Is Not for Tears (2019)
Breathtaking.
What a memorable moment. Loved this season finale. Glad Ken finally stopped acting like an abandoned puppy for all of season 2. Can't wait for season 3!!
Star Wars (1977)
What's all the hype about???!!!!!!!!!
Having seen ALOT of Star Wars references in my favorite shows (How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, and Friends), I finally forced myself to sit through the trilogy. And oh boy It doesn't get any more overrated than this. What did I just watch?!!!!!! I didn't connect with any of the characters watching the trilogy. The movie was just non-stop action and visual effects without any dialogue or depth. The only character that didn't annoy me was Yoda who didn't have enough screen time... The trilogy might've been the best thing you saw in the 70s but it doesn't hold up to the test of time AT ALL. Let's stop fooling oursevles.
Barry (2018)
Impressed!
Very entertaining, engaging and funny! Dark comedy at its best which also delves into ethical/moral and psychological issues. A must watch!
El hoyo (2019)
Shocking and Thought-provoking
What an engaging, breath taking, mindblowing movie; the only downside was the very ambiguous ending; will be thinking about this for a while...
Incredibles 2 (2018)
Fun, entertaining
Having enjoyed the increadibles movie 14 years ago, I was pretty entertained by this movie! It was funny, engaging and very positive. Seeing Elastigirl kicking ass as a superhero and the increadible taking care of the kids was refreshing to see. And OMG how adorable was the superhero baby, Jack Jack?!
