I started off being really skeptical about this movie because that is my usual reaction towards a movie that just refuses to stay in only one part. and because i really liked the first hellboy i was afraid of being mortally disappointed by the second. but, for the first time since i don't remember when, i was completely wrong. The second movie, unlike the first, has a much wider mixture of fairytale creatures and fairytale stories, which in my opinion adds to its appeal. It kind of reminded me of lord of the rings a little bit, but that's OK. the first thing i really liked were the visual effects. they're really good and mean a lot for the movie, they keep the atmosphere up-beat. also, i liked the fact that there are a lot of scenes when you get disconnected from the main plot and just enjoy a little bit of a laugh (and some scenes are really funny). this is a really nice follow-up and i dare say i enjoyed more than the first movie.

I think this was the lamest, weirdest, wackiest, dorkiest, worst written and directed movie i have ever seen! first of all, i must admit i didn't read the book beforehand but i knew it was a best seller and i knew bits&pieces of it! but this movie was nothing i had ever expected! first of all i didn't understand anything! second of all it was annoying...at first interesting and let's say special....but after some scenes when i realized that this was meant to be a 5 year-old kids' movie i decided i have to push myself to seeing it all....and i didn't succeed! it has nothing...no logical story, no connected action what so ever, no stable and well identified characters, no introduction in this weird alien life, no nothing! it really is too complicated and stupid for me! sorry!

this movie caught my heart from the moment it started until that last but so terrifyingly sad end! this is such a superb story! it appeals especially to adolescents who think that their parents will never understand their life or their problems! it really shows you the true meaning of what's important in life and that it is too short to just grow each other apart! the final act of this movie was so sad i was still crying after 10 minutes after it ended!! it is a brilliant peace of work...really..it combines every state and feeling you can possibly imagine and has the weirdest turns!it shows the spiritual connection of each and every member of one family, no matter what the differences and the problems between them and our ability to stay as one and united in the hardest of times! just brilliant!

in my opinion, Jane Austen is not to read but to watch! :) the movies really are better than the books because of the unique atmosphere it gives you and the feeling of life with its never-ending threads that tend to wrap around each other! of course it is yet another story of fine women and esteemed gentlemen who are in search of marrying and the true hidden wishes and desires of course remain hidden and the stories are told in many shapes and sizes! it is a wonderful movie,full of love, joy, life, sadness, poverty, misery but yet it leaves you with a fresh hope in your mind and teaches you that there is always a good side of the story! it is absolutely magnificent! i strongly recommend it!

the book was absolutely genius and of course the movie is too! this movie is so whacked and also so interesting, that you don't know whether to laugh or to cry at the end, and whether the end is disastrous, catastrophic or very pretty! it was an experience watching this one! it actually has a very strange mixture of extremes: a band of stressed people that develop a very very dangerous and strange hobby that turns into a sort of religion, a schizo who is brain damaged and doesn't even know it, the most weird love-hate relationship you have ever seen and the most weird, dubious and scary characters put together in just one movie..but it remains a very original and exciting film to watch...what can i say....if it's Edward Norton, it's bound to be a good movie!

this is way better than the book :))....i must admit that....way better and the story is improved most of the time in a good way! but....there are some things that are really no supposed to be in because they represent the mistakes and errors of, i don't know, low budget movies or bad scripting.....either way this isn't the case! for example....when tom cruise was captured in that big alien thing he successfully destroyed it with what, 3 grenades! and the army (at the end) which had bazookas, they barely put down one with 3 or 4 shots of that weapon of mass-destruction! and of course if it wasn't for tom cruise the whole army intelligence that was there wouldn't have noticed that they were no longer protected by that shield! and at the beginning of course tom cruise was desperately running on the street and each and every person on that street running with him died but not Tom!!!!! he didn't have a scratch!! come on people we're not 5 anymore!!! the movie was nice, very cool graphics, nice idea....it was nice....but i don't know, it wasn't that exciting for me.

hey, maybe the story is all childish and silly, but it's a horror...there are other things that are supposed to keep you distracted from noticing this stuff....and this one really did that! this is probably the best horror movie from the last months because it really scares the crap out of you! it has so many unexpected stuff that you just can't stay calm....it really is scary...and that's the whole idea and purpose of a horror! the idea is not original, the horrible stuff going on and the types of killing and demon possessions are not at all new, i've seen them a million times before....but this movie really has a very scary and tensioned atmosphere! really worth watching!

this movie is really brain damaging! it will keep blocking your mind the entire day after you've seen it! it is so powerful and abundant in contradictory conceptions on very delicate things that it will put you both in the pro and in the con category. it says things that are extremely true and it tries to show in the end that, no matter how revolted and enraged you are, you just can't do much and things are not so simple. it's in a way an analysis of the system and the discrimination and crimes of the so called 'democracy' and 'human rights' characteristics of our world. it really shows you how humans think under good leadership and how easily our minds change after personal experience and how our mistakes are always payed back in full. it shows the bad parts of being and thinking extreme, like the Nazism conception, and also the bad things of supporting a democratic society. it is a true masterpiece, a movie that makes you think a lot about things that you considered or taught that they are horribly wrong and makes you realize that things are not as simple as you thought!

i know that teenage movies are extremely worn out, but this one will stay hip for ever! i think i will re watch it a hundred times and i will never get bored! why? because it's super cool!! you have the adolescents in your normal high-school, and you have the prom and this cute all-adored babe and this very hot and hip guy is after her but of course something is in their way: her sister! and we have our normal constant fight and arguing. but....there is Heath Ledger who is the ultimate babe and the perfect guy in this movie, and seriously gets you thinking 'why didn't this happen to me when i was in high school?'.the story is extremely cute and i think i can say original, anyways more exciting than the other movies that are in this category. there are some extremely funny scenes and you will never ever get bored! a must-see!!!!! and a perfect 10 score!!!!

i think i will never be able to look at Heath Ledger again without recalling the sex scenes in this movie! i shouldn't have watched it....seriously!! i think everybody knows what this movie is about so i'll skip the introduction and 'drop it like it's hot'. everybody says that this is a love story, a very powerful love between two guys, that is aimed at changing our preconceived and mean conceptions of homosexual relationships and presenting us a new image of their world. i agree...this story can certainly be plausible in real life....but i must ask you....does true love arise from an urgent desire of having sexual acts after being stranded on a mountain with just one guy and some sheep? you must remember that the guys didn't talk much and didn't know each other before the 'approach'.so where's the real love in here? probably one of the best things abut this movie was the scenery...some great shots at some great places in the right moments....really cool! but besides that...it was a modern soap opera! as not to say anything worse than that.....

how can you not love Jim Carrey staring in a comedy? that's impossible, it's against human nature! it's the same guy that did the world's greatest comedies, a little older unfortunately, but still out there! the story isn't such a new thing and isn't so exciting, but there are all the basic ingredients of a very good and funny comedy! and really Jim Carrey is enough for a comedy, you'll know it's going to be funny. i really liked the end, it was totally unexpected (how many robbery movies end with a donation of the money to the needy and the poor?). it was a comedy in its full sense, it reminded me of a time when you used to go to comedies to see fun stuff, not parodies of other movies or cheap fashionable stuff! this really is the real deal!

i never ever get sleepy when i go to the cinema to see a movie....until i saw this one! after half an hour of not understanding anything i was cheerfully yawning and comfortably stretching in my chair! i was seriously taken aback by this movie! it was a mixture of weirdness with comic stuff that were, some of them, very funny, with creepy and hilarious Italian and french accents, probably one of the best aspects of this movie because i love how 'zi grimmis' is said in this movie :)), and with a very weird world that is described. it gets pretty serious and somewhat interesting at the beginning, but it still ends in a very weird way! on the whole, it was nice....but i seriously wouldn't recommend it! :)

i must say this is one of my favorite all-time movies! why? because it is the definition of a perfect kids movie, and since i am (spiritually anyway :)) and was a kid when i first watched it, i was totally blown away! the story is extremely original (i mean, how many movies did you see with towns full of walking-talking skeletons and the creatures from your worst nightmares?),it's very exciting and fun to watch. the characters are very well built and very lively, the music is absolutely SUPERB!!! after i watched the movie about 5 times i already knew them by heart! :)) and the weirdest part id that this story is like really creepy in the sense that the good guys are in fact the bad guys at first, but they turn good in their own way....anyway it's complicated, but the thing is that the story is very dark, but also extremely magical! i don't think that there is anyone out there who didn't like this movie! it's a brilliant masterpiece! well done Burton!

I think it was one of the most complete movies i have ever seen! it's got everything: a very touching story of a beautiful and talented girl, a true adventure story, peril, death and of course romance! although some scenes were...err....well....typical for a movie, like the captain coming to the rescue in precisely the perfect time, the whole movie was absolutely magnificently made, created, written, played, directed, everything! and as i expected from peter Jackson, the movie lasted for 3 hours and my ass was kinda' stiff, but it was definitely worth it! i was truly entertained and excited by the gorgeous special effects! there were tones of animals, some extremely grouse, but it was totally cool!!! i don't know whether peter Jackson wanted to emphasize the cruelty, stupidity or superiority in thinking of human beings, but i have to admit this would be exactly the kind of attitude we will have if something similar, and not necessarily a breathing and gigantic monkey coming to town, would happen! but all in all, it was a fantastic movie (i think i can recognize Naomi's running in any kind of situation after this!!! :) ) but i don't think i could see it again! too much sadness for me!! but it is a true masterpiece!!! cheers peter!

I am a very big harry potter fan and i must admit I'm not much into the movies, although I really enjoyed the 3rd one. I was really hoping to see something fantastic in this movie, because it had the story of the fourth book, which is in my opinion the ultimate one from the series. but I was disappointed to the maximum!!!! why?? because it's nothing like the 4th book!!!!!!!! for god's sake, even Hermione's dress was pink when it was blue in the book! they just took the major and general lines of the story, like harry, Hogwarts, the Triwizard Tournament, Durmastrang & Beauxbatons, 3 challenges, Cedric dead and Voldy comes back! and that's about it!!it goes much too quickly from one action, one bump in the road to another and for those who haven't read the books, it will be awfully hard to understand something! I didn't even notice when i was standing in front of the first task! it all happened too fast!things are totally different and they didn't follow the book AT ALL!!!! after stating so many times that they tried to be loyal to the book, i thought they really had been....well...i was wrong! i have 2 major discontents that bugged me through the movie!!1. Ludo Bagman doesn't appear at all....and he was a rather charming and important character in the book. 2. Michael Gambon does a poor, a very poor job....he didn't understand Dumbledore's character at all! Dumbledore is supposed to be calm, rational, not impulsive and yelling at students that Cedric is dead or to harry whether he put his name in the goblet of fire! and Dumbledore is surely not supposed to be this wacko genius who sits on the floor and talks to harry about very important stuff! god...if that was indeed Dumbledore in the book, i would've been happy when he died in the 6th one!!! But it's not!!!! Dumbledore is the guardian, the best wizard alive, the only one who can protect harry against Voldy and he shouldn't be yelling or spitting life theories on the floor!! i hate Michael Gambon for transforming the character into such a loser, literally, i wish they had a chosen another actor! so, as a conclusion, you should go to the cinema and see it, but don't have high expectations, like i did! it will only get you down ever worse!

overall I think it was funny and ...well more like a kids' kind of movie. there's just one little comment I would like to add as I don't have much to say about the movie itself. the people who have seen it should remember the Russian Helga who used to be the old babysitter. well, for us Romanians, we had quite a shock when we heard our deal beloved Helga, whoa again was supposed to be Russian in the movie, swear and curse in Romanian, not in Russian. well, when you make a movie I think it is wise to actually know what your actors are saying when they're not speaking a language you don't know, because the curses were extremely ill-tempered and vulgar (one actually said 'suck my d..k') because there might be a whole population out there that can understand it better than you thought. you should've seen the horrified looks on our little Romanian children's' faces when, after enjoying a well deserved comedy, hear this vulgarity out of the babysitter's mouth. and furthermore, we Romanians take pride our national curses because of their magnificent length, so we are not very happy when these brilliant chains of vulgar words are associated with Russians!!!!!

this was one of the coolest animated movies i have ever seen!!!! it's absolutely great!!!! it's got humor, tones of adventure, great plot, really interesting stuff going on, lots of well-known "voices" and it's extremely exciting. it's unlike anything until now. and it surely beats the crap out of Popeye!!!! really cool, the producers did a great job, i really loved it! i especially loved that book and the fact that there isn't anything ordinary in this world. you except to be another silly little story about a little pirate and wow, but the whole story is enchanted and fantastic. it's absolutely great! i haven't seen such a great movie in years!!!

when i heard this movie i had the impressions of the sort of movie at which you start crying or be really impressed by a harsh and cruel destiny of some orphans....but to my amazement i found it spooky....and i'm very serious. there have been so many horror movies lately and i haven't been frightened by any of them as strangely as i have been at this movie. it has a VERY mysterious and spooky kind of atmosphere and as much as jim carrey is goofy and funny i tell you when he came along over and over again i started sinking in the chair! it was a unique atmosphere, i have never seen this before in any movie and it is really good! i mean the story is great, it has unexpected turns and it is really exciting! in conclusion, this is a really good movie and it's not just for kids. really nice!

i think i saw this movie 3 times in only one month! i was totally impressed!!! i think it is one of the best movies on this topic....demons, angels, devil, hell, heaven and stuff like that! i really enjoyed it for a lot of reasons!!! one: the script is really good, they don't tell you everything, after the movie ends you have to sit back and think about certain stuff that wasn't really clear and believe me you'll get to some wild conclusions!! two: it has a really mysterious and dark atmosphere, it's unlike anything you've ever seen, it gives you the creeps and you just can't take your eyes away from the TV!!! i mean really!!! three: great special effects!!! four: great acting and last but not least five: NO KISSING!!!!!! OAU..that's a new one!!! overall great movie, extremely interesting, it really makes you put yourself a lot of questions and finally something original, nothing ordinary in it and extremely interesting.

i was really looking forward to seeing this movie....so when i finally went to the cinema to see it my excitement quickly faded away. i was beginning to wonder when it will end. to make it really short i would like to start with the story. excluding the fact that i felt that i was pushed to the intrigue a little too fast it wasn't stretched as much as it should have been. For example, Orlando was at first a blacksmith....so he knew how to fight with a sword OK, no problem....but in the next 30 minutes he is one of the greatest knights ever...and after some fights and conflicts that roll absolutely too fast for us to really "live" them...you get to the last battle, that really and horribly brought me back to finally battle from the lord of the rings the two towers (and if you look closely there are lots of similarities), when he is a master of strategic combat and he is great, fantastic, honorable, noble and of course as all movies have to end, he finally saves the day but looses the battle.....OAU... that's a new one!! Overall, it wasn't such a great movie, Orlando did a pitiful job, in my opinion he has a lot to learn in the art of acting, and it didn't raise to my expectations....sorry!

i can't believe i wasted 3 hours of my life looking at this piece of....(you get the idea)!!! i must say i was totally impressed by the cast which was greatly unnecessary in many ways. One: they didn't have extremely interesting roles and two: the story still remains a piece of ....(you get the idea) no matter who plays who! and the worse thing of all was leonardo dicaprio who in my opinion is a low-budget and extremely not-talented actor (and using this word makes me feel uncomfortable). i mean, if it wasn't for this dude, i might have enjoyed the movie.....NOT!!!! but he's a real pain in the ass anyway! in conclusion another one that is extremely well regarded and reviewed but in fact is just a piece of...(you get the idea!!) the only thing that was good about this film was Cate Blanchett! she did an excellent job and it really made a great impression on me!! but besides that.....if you guys would make -x stars for the vote i would really appreciate it!!!cause this movie sucks big time!!!

I mean, come on people!!!!!!!!, don't you guys think before you make a movie???!!!!! maybe it was cool then but NOW is such an incredibly stupid movie!!!!!AND CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!!!! what was wrong the suit man????!!!!!!that shitty suit didn't even allow him to twist his head properly!!!!!when he needed to look up or down or left or whatever he had to move his whole body!!!!!this is so lame!!!and the suit was with abs included!!!! what about the belt???it was won in a cereal box or what??? i especially liked kim basinger's scream!! i thought i was in a 1950s cheap horror movie!!
