Gemini Man (2019)

Don't listen to the reviews- I don't think they saw the same movie
10 October 2019
I was so close to not seeing this movie because of the reviews on here, but decided to go nonetheless and I'm so glad I did. It definitely wasn't a slow movie like some indicated and I enjoyed it. It had the right amount of action and drama. Some scenes you noticed the CGI, I think it was done really well and a great action packed movie to see. Ignore the haters and see it for yourself.

Aladdin (2019)
10/10
Had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised!
23 May 2019
I wasn't too sure about the casting of the characters for Aladdin, but every character was perfect and I loved Will Smiths take on the genie. It would not have felt right to try and do it too much like Robin Williams genie, Will Smith was his own kind of genie which truly made the movie shine. I liked that they stuck to the original songs and storyline but changed it slightly so it really would feel like a movie on its on and not just a copy.

I honestly didn't expect much and with Aladdin being my favourite movie growing up I didn't think it could be redone, but this movie was great and I enjoyed it a lot. My daughters also thought it was brilliant! Well done to everyone who worked on it, it was done magically!

My kids & I loved it!
12 April 2019
This is such a great idea. My girls love reading those puzzle books so when I saw this show I thought we would give it a go. They loved the interaction and I thought it was done really well. Yes it's obviously scripted, but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment of it. I even made some choices that didn't end well, which my girls thought was very amusing.

It's different, it's interesting, and the kids loved it, what more could you want?!

The Last Kingdom (2015–2022)
10/10
One of those shows that just stays with you
25 November 2018
I started watching The Last Kingdom only slightly interested it what it was about- more just filling in time. Within a few episodes I was hooked. I just finished Season 3 which was unreal and honestly I could watch The Last Kingdom every day of my life. Every single actor/actress is amazing. I honestly can't fault it at all- even the devastating character deaths which break me- somehow still have meaning and reasoning behind them that make it even better. Definitely recommend!

Robin Hood (2018)
9/10
A twist on the usual storyline
25 November 2018
I went into this movie not really knowing what to expect and thought it might be okay... but not great. Well I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it and like how although the Robin Hood story was there, it was made different so it didn't just feel like re-watching the same storyline again. The fights scenes were really good, and the only downside was at one point I did feel like it was a longer movie than it needed to be. Worth watching, an enjoyable movie.

Way funnier than expected!

So many great one-liners in this movie. A definite must see. Went with my sisters and friends and we couldn't stop laughing. All the characters were awesome in their own unique way. Makes me now want to have a game night! Haha

A bit corny at times.... & Jamie Dornan just wasn't Christian Grey
12 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I have read the books and loved them although looking back I can see the concerns people have with it, at the time I did really enjoy them so I had high hopes for the book, although a little put off by all the harsh reviews.

The movie was funny- now it wasn't just the lines that were expected to be funny, but there were some sexy lines, like the one where they are in the hotel room and Christian and ana try and be sexy about biting ana's lip. It really didn't come off sexy, and instead the whole cinema laughed, and it wasn't the only corny lines that could have not come across like that if there was just better chemistry between Jamie and Dakota.

Dakota did a fantastic job. Honestly, if not for her this movie really would have flopped big time. She gave all of herself to the role, and you could see how hard she was trying to get the sexual chemistry between her and Jamie, but Jamie just fell flat.

Jamie looked like he'd rather not be there. I actually really like him as an actor. But he just let the film down. His accent was terrible, and he didn't come across sexy at all, and I don't felt like he portrayed Christian's character very well either.

If I hadn't of read the books and just seen the movie I wouldn't have been able to connect with characters. It would have come across like he was just a freak and stalker, which is so not how he comes across in the book. In the book you would do anything for him, and he is so mysterious that you want to know more about him. In the movie he isn't very interesting at all and you can't understand why Ana wants to be with him.

The other cast wasn't too bad, although Jose should have looked younger in my eyes.

Look its one of those movies I wouldn't be disappointed (actually I would prefer it) if they recast Christian's role for the next two.

Soundtrack was awesome! so points for that!

On a side note.... I wonder if Charlie's small re-writes that he wanted for this movie involved the corny scenes... you can't help but wonder if maybe they listened to him it wouldn't be as bad.

Oh and thank god they didn't add the tampon scene!

EDIT: I have since watched this film again and enjoyed it much more the second time and think I was too harsh on Jamie. I can't wait till the second installment!

If only every school was like this!
6 February 2015
Seriously this show is so entertaining! I saw a random fan trailer on youtube and thought I would check it out. I was surprised just how funny this show is.

The gay guy in it just makes it! All the one liners leave me in stitches every time.

I'm long past being a teenager, but this is still very funny!

I wish I went to a school that accepted everyone for being different and actually made those differences cool!

Check it out! Better yet, watch the whole season in one sitting!

p.s all the other characters (including the parents) just add to the awesome nature of this show!

Weird but pretty bloody cool!
6 February 2015
I don't think the trailer did this film any justice. It wasn't a movie I was dying to see, but I was bored and thought I might as well give it a shot.

I'm so glad I did!

Its a funny movie, but action packed, and a bit gory at times but the filmmakers managed to combine all of it together and pull it off really well.

Taron Egerton did a fantastic job and really made the movie what it is, and that end scene... OMG couldn't stop laughing!

I would definitely recommend seeing this film and it's really open to all ages 15 years plus.
