Mel Gorham was fired after the second poilt cause they filmed it twice once with a test aduance than once when it was picked up with a new fancy set. So yea Mel was fired a new actress chosen and her roll cut down. She flopped with Aduancees and than they tried to get Mel back, but she said no! Anyhow they put this up against Friends and Seinfeld and questioned why it failed. Just to throw it out there Harriet Samson Harris has had a bad run off of sitcoms they have all been great but I know at least 2 times one of her sitcoms where cancled by perverted studio executives. Why do I have to type so much lol...... there not a lot to say about a show that was cancled after one episode....

Not a bad TV show cancelled during a writer's strike so you'll never know what could have been. A bit of history I found out, the show was created for a night time slot to try and lure college students into a new show! Nick at nite was very popular with reruns so the creators of Nightmare cafe wanted in. The six episodes that were produced didn't really get watched by many people and a writers strike pretty much got it cancelled I have heard from somebody that Jerry Seinfeld was a fan and wanted to try and promote the show. I guess in the 90s college students who are really high just wanted to watch Brady Bunch reruns and the Nanny.

A terrible but unique show, question mark who was the face of the new British TV station called challenge TV would travel around with his team of B celebrity guest judges and the public would show up and sing for prizes,the karaoke events where not in very good locations (Wakefield) and there wasn't very big turnouts for the events. Most of the shows were hosted by Sonia Evans the British pop singer, better known as Bunty Savage from The Lily Savage show.

They rejected Father Ted and made this but quite frankly I find this more entertaining and strangely enough this ran longer than Father Ted. Why is it never repeated because RTE doesn't repeat anything, anything at all ever expect movies. Why did RTE turn down Father Ted because we're a Catholic nation and they definitely didn't want to make a TV show about insulting and making fun of nuns Bishops and and and Pope's and priest's. Father Ted shows the Irish people as stupid. Anyhow back to upwardly mobile two common as muck characters win the lotto and moving beside two stuck up characters, In the end they both depend on each other.

What can I say about the show, it started off good and then Coronation Street decided we want to take some of those actors for our show and then those actors just randomly disappeared from Fat friends and they were damn good characters. James Corden's character was terrible and he was the one of the characters that kind of hung around sadley, Actress Gaynor Faye her mother wrote this so it was only inevitable that she was going to stay in the show now credit where credit is due she didn't get all the scenes there was no favouritism each character had it meat and potatoes it was just really annoying how how some of the characters from season 1 disappeared because they were brilliant we invested time in them and then ITV decided they wanted to steal them for Coronation Street and turn them into mopey dopey dull characters that we couldn't wait to die and in fact the whole family was written out after a year or two. Lynda Baron was a great edition because she's a wonderful actress and she needs to star in more TV shows. So is Lisa Rylie.

Based on prisoner Cell Block H which showed its last episode in 1989 it took till 1999 for it to be produced why is that well prisoner which was also shown on ITV with very high ratings was never over officially cancelled......
And rather than have two prison dramas they waited ... but prison h was coming back and it was in production and while it was in production they reran it from the start, but it never took off again and It was officially cancled by 1994 and bad birds as it was know was put on the shelf, If prisoner was cancled it must be a tired format and not with pursuing.......
One of Coronation Streets loving characters Deirdre Rashid/Barlow was given a storyline where she falls in love with a scam artist she ends up getting arrested and spending a couple of weeks in prison....... everybody was talking about them scenes with Margi Clarke.... front page of the newspapers Deirdre Barlow behind prison bars....
ITV were onto something and brought back the idea of bad birds changed to bad girls.
Season 5 of bad girls saw a lot of the characters leave but mainly due to exhaustion because they never got a break.
The only bad thing about bad girls was it never had its own version of Joan Ferguson, the First season has a 200 pounds of muscles 6-ft black female who could of been the new freak but sadly she is only in one episode. So basically it needed a Joan Ferguson character

OK I have watched this show thanks to YouTube and other sites I watched it, as I am a script writer, I like to see how and why things fail.
Were do I start well with the cast changes, I was impressed a bit of glamour from the start though would off been great but hey we didn't need a salon in the market cause no body got there hair done. (Joke)My Market has one. But yea the cast changes where to late too soon.
What makes me annoyed is the story lines first off the Roy Char.. just out of prison cheats on his wife early on, not only dose she not seam to care or do any dramatic scene where he gets kicked out and she becomes bitter he just leaves , she also dose not mind telling people he was inside in the first place and brag about it. With every one being OK with that or never asking why he was inside. The Story line was over so fast but the women Roy had the affair with was a bit of Glam and a really good actress. Any way Lynn I think her name was Roy's first wife the one he cheated on her daughter seamed slow not in a bad way (Golden Girls Rose Way) she hated the fact Roy was coming back than hugged and kissed him when he was back and was happy to see him,than she hated him again.... its almost as if the writers left out a whole back story.
I am not good with there names nor is google because a lot which is strange of the the actors and actress have the same names as American/rock stars / actors.. of the big screen which were more famous so its hard to find info on the Cast.
Despite your views I still think Eldarado was the best Soap other than corrie in the 60's.
As for Albion Market I found it dull and dreary with not enough Del Boys :)

This show is about Chelsea Stevens a Martha Steward styled character over exaggerated, the only flaw I can see with this Show is the casting and plot, the show is based on Chelsea Stevens but some times she is there, but it seams like she is an extra but that's also OK I guess so you can meet the other cast which are OK but could be better.
Its hard to think they originally wanted Kathleen Turner, Cant help but think what would of happened if this casting choice had of went threw,
I love Jean Smart but she is not the best in this role id of cast Kathleen Turner, Jean is great In Designing women and as a sexy MILF in various other shows and movies like Fraser and so on.....
The show was apparently canceled by the BILLIONAIRE tycoon goddess Martha Steward, with her hate towards the similarities and digs at her, but all I can make out is that in the show Martha was considered Chelsea's rival, and rarely mentioned if not in a lame joke, Maybe Martha had the idea of a sitcom herself and some one beat her to it who knows........
Try and think if this had a strong female cast would it off stayed on the air remember designing women was canceled till the girls begged fans to write letters to keep it on the air XD Just something to think about.

This is pretty epic for a TV movie I first seen Jayne Brook in don't tell mom the baby sitters dead as that vile receptionist Caroline not her first movie of course only the first time I seen her.
This Movie has a simple plot and great acting which is kinda why it works and very shocking for a low budget movie I will say I do not think David Palffy is a great actor at all and I would not of cast him in this movie, if this movie had a bigger budget i think it could of been pretty epic there was a few characters in the movie too such as Alison's Gay Friend who I would of liked to have seen more as it would of been funny, but given the fact Alison is going on a long awaited vacation with her mother I see why he was not used. Maybe in a sequel ha-ha or a TV serious of the movie.
Over all this movie is pretty OK's

I really don't know why people in the previous comments are giving this show so much stick it was harmless Saturday night fun with a host who was pretty , epic she always loved her fans and showed it.
So Basically guy sits on chair asks 2 girls question and pick his date same with a girl 3 question picks date, based on there answers to the questions asked some of the answers where scripted to take out some really dirty innuendos but this happens with all TV show, and if someone messes there reply of course they will have to do a retake.
Harmless Fun from a Manchaster lass I would of loved Margic Clark to take over though.
