A terrific option for Saturday's binge-watching
I've just watched it all, in a row. I have to admit it: I couldn't stop until the end. A great anime.
The setting is very attractive: a modern and parallel world very similar to ours, where there are no humans and rational beings are anthropomorphic animals. There is a great social division between herbivorous animals and carnivores, who have managed to coexist with each other on the basis of established rules to live in harmony. One night, Tem, an alpaca student at the prestigious Cherryton School, is persecuted and devoured in the corridors of the school, creating an environment of mystery, fear and mistrust among the students. Among them is Legoshi, a shy, young wolf, who is part of the Drama Club, whose life will change completely when he meets his fellow student Haru, a dwarf rabbit, isolated, fragile and bullied throughout the school due to her sexual promiscuity.
So far it could be said that it sounds like a sort of fusion of "Romeo and Juliet" with "Zootopia", but there is definitely much more to this story: topics such as social classes, racism, bullying, vegetarianism and the consumption of meat, or the relationship between victims and victimizers... All these is discussed. And all with an incredible animation and a very good story. A great way to spend the weekend.
