Such stories don't need working out you feel the characters as they evolve and identify with you
10 June 2015
It was so long ago that this furred creature talked of life and other miraculous things hoisted up by far fetched maturity and sensibility presumably alien for a being draped in fur, but it resonates louder and makes even more sense now, when after all this years I re-read the novella that was first published in 1943 after the outbreak of second WW, by French writer and artist Antoine De- Saint Exupery, The Little Prince. It makes me wonder if it ever were a children's tale, but again to decode such an honest, sincerely beautiful written work of art, a child's innocence and naivety is the only play. Such stories don't need working out you feel the characters as they evolve through the pages and identify with you. 2015 is about to see in a re-imagined spirit the animated adaptation of Exupery's invention, from Kung- Fu Panda director Mark Osborne of the same name. It is majorly awaited. The trailer was irresistibly delicious instilling a magic like atmosphere with the equally enchanting background score by Richard Harvey and Hans Zimmer. This movie got an amazing cast from Bridges to Cottilard, it will be dream on screen. The little girl's imagination of the Prince and the fox is done by stop motion animation resembling and staying true to those old painted images. Remember the dewy water color illustrations by Exupery depicting the Prince on the asteroid, the magical rose that grew on it…with flaxen hair and a scarf he just looked like a cherry boy who lost his way. Walking through the sands, if you please I would draw you a sheep.

Seventh Son (I) (2014)
3/10
The predicament of the approaching blood moon
4 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Let's begin with the obvious- non-pleasing predictability, aesthetically disturbing VFX, overtly unrelated scene sequences and an unhealthy obsession with glitter/silver powder! This overall constitutes Seventh Son, directed by Sergei Bodrov. Based on the Spook's apprentice by Joseph Delaney, I am sure the book was readable because the movie was unwatchable. Jeff Bridges brought his usual Lebowski swagger to the film and Moore had an amazing satanic screen presence. The other characters with considerable screen presence- Thomas the damned seventh son of some seventh son who was happy to leave his home and his threatening/eager to let go mother and he also has spoiler visions which will keep telling you throughout the entire movie of what is about to come. And the other, the presumably good witch (love interest) who is excellent at disappearing like Batman. God alone knows what this movie was about, it's like Ghostbusters meets sorcerer's apprentice meets Battle of the 'seven' armies, with characters lamely coming, introducing themselves(hello!) and going just like the magic in the feature( remember tusk?). The predicament of the approaching blood moon was more terrifying for the viewers than Master Gregory and his kin. (Yes, some of us sat that long through the film). Should have regarded 'the signs of evil' before sitting down for this movie. Alas the ringing bells echoed oh! Mother of god.

Truth be told- a swashbuckling series by Marvel
1 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Daredevil: Here is how this is going to work, "I am going to ask you some questions and you're going to answer them. If you're lying trust that I'd know…" God forbid I lie! Truth be told- a swashbuckling series by Marvel. Charlie Cox breathed the Devil into the character, following the juxtaposition of good against evil and reliving it on a whole new spectrum. Its wicked sweet! You think directorial nuances yeah? Multiply it by convoluted details only severe core-concentration resulting from spirited corn infused binge watching can discover. Pitch perfect casting, amazing unbelievable realistic fight sequences, making you go Whoa!!! Hand on dehydrated lips. Imagine the robust silhouette draped in black, the solid mask drawn unto the nose, I have been picturing the devil wrong this whole time (later introduced, the costume is good but the black full-bodied track pant look had an Armour like character).

Marvel with Drew Goddard did an infallible job. You can try, I doubt you will find faults, but again it's the daredevil we taking about, you better not. The faults' in our… Whether Hell's Kitchen deserves a happy ending is for time to tell, but the coming season we'd all take a punch, getting up one more time, because this knocked the hell out of us.

Love transcends all dimensions but Nick Fury re-imagined it a Lil better, its trouble that creates the rubble..
25 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The Age Of Ultron. As Interstellar would have it... Love transcends all dimensions but Nick Fury re-imagined it a little better, its trouble that creates the rubble and finds it way everywhere and eventually to legendary face-offs- "all of me….all of you". No no Mr Legend spoke of love, here the resounding WAM! BAM! BOOM! CLANK! KA-POW! Of metal against flesh is the reigning emotion in DA house. You might have sat with a checklist, striking off as the movie escalated to points where breathing had to be induced voluntarily (Hulkbuster sequence and Scarlet Witch's) Joss Whedon marvelously enthralls (usual stuff) and you go Yyayy! As the array of secret doors open simultaneously to the Infinity universe (introducing the Mind stone) letting awesomeness do its thing. This got some damn bad-ass action moments son! (Trying to watch the language cap!) And the Mjoinir jokes, whoa! Consequential testimony of bro- romance. The evil AI automaton/ robot Ultron, with his chiseled build has some riveting poetic lines (the semi- soliloquy, when the dust settles…. All will remain…metal……) voiced by James Spader, setting the fear of god in you. An amazing must watch with Thanos beginning an end to MCU-II we walk out of the door an Avenger!
