Bob's Burgers: Paraders of the Lost Float (2017)
Decent episode with avoidable conflict
"Paraders of the Lost Float" wasn't too bad of an episode, but couldn't 95% of Bob's problems have been avoided if he had JUST KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT ABOUT THE PRIZE MONEY?! I mean, Jimmy Pesto couldn't have cared less about the parade until Bob mentioned the prizes for the floats. It probably would've made the episode half as long and just as interesting, if that were the case - Bob's float following the parade route normally, Gene (as "Beefquatch" - nice to see the mask make a cameo) wasting burger samples, the family getting last place and winning the $500, and then probably dancing to that catchy disco song at the end. I mean, in an alternate universe where Bob didn't tell Jimmy about the prize money, there would've been some other setback in place of the conflict with the Pesto float - probably Teddy getting cabin fever inside the float and driving it off course or crashing it into a storefront. Who knows?
Archer: Breaking Fabian (2023)
Not the ending you're expecting
Yes, yes. I've read the reviews for this episode (4 as of my writing this) and yeah, something seems off about it being a series finale. But I did read that it was announced at the New York Comic Con that there will be a three-part finale for the series called "Archer: Into the Cold." Hopefully, that will put a more satisfactory ending to the show we've come to love for the past fourteen seasons. I did watch the season finale and it does feel like it's leading on to something at the end. I'm wondering if the creators decided to keep "Into the Cold" a secret on purpose as they knew fans would be annoyed at the use of a cliffhanger for the /end/ of a series.
