Better than a normal animè
11 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This animè does everything you'd come to expect from a animè and movie alike. While it retains the "childish" like animè charm, it's still impressive with the movie-like memorable scenes that is enjoyable by those who've outgrown animès in general. While the series depicts a world of ninjas, you don't necessarily get the whole stereotype you've become used too, as this animè has an incredibly good, multi-layered story, which gives them the whole unique style, which in my opinion is better than the ninja stereotype. The story is filled with many twists and turns, some expectable, some not. But they all come as a bit of a shock, as it's not the way you imagined it to be, but still it isn't disappointing. While the enemies are not only memorable, not necessarily all of them is evil, most of them has a reason for doing what they are doing, without it being something selfish or out of money or power.

Naruto keeps a fine line between funny episodes and serious episodes, while the majority is serious episodes, that isn't a bad thing.

Naruto's story begins with a Demon Fox getting sealed within Naruto by the head ninja of his village at the time: The Fourth Hokage, the Hokage himself wanted Naruto to be viewed as a hero for this. But the villagers viewed Naruto as merely a Demon Fox, responsible for killing many of the villagers. This distanced the Villagers from Naruto, and he became a lonely child without any family. Driven to prove himself, and perhaps change the villagers' outlook on him, he becomes a ninja with the dream of become the Hokage over his village.

The music of this animè is pretty good, and is surprisingly used at the best of times. Upping the overall fun of watching this.

The only bad thing I can think of about the animè is the neverending filler saga between Naruto p.1 and Naruto p.2. Sure, fillers isn't something to be upset about, as in Naruto's case it was necessary. But the ridicilousness of certain fillers really take away something from the show, and is not really that good. The story is thinner and may result in you getting bored from the show before the second part is shown.

Brings back the magic lost in WW
26 December 2005
This game has much more innovation than WW had, and beats that game hands down. But still, the only thing which is really focused on is the gameplay. And that is where they should focus, the story was incredibly bad. Just continues in the same track as the previous two games, then suddenly at the end, they rush it incredibly to wrap stuff up, and even failed in that. You have the Prince struggling with his dark self this time around, it's not really what you'd expect and is the games weakest points. When you play as the DP, everything feels rushed and boring. New to this game is the Speed Kill system, if the enemy hasn't seen you, you can get behind them or over them, and start a little "timing-mini game" where your dagger will flash for a brief second, that's when you need to press the attack button. This keeps gameplay fresh, and ties it ties in with the acrobatics in order to get a good vantage point. But it's not all good, they were supposed to be angry and aggressive. They were a bit dull with the slow music and didn't really give the rushes it was supposed to. And you never really needed to time them, there were not much variation, and you could easily learn when to press. It was only the first time through that you were on your toes. The music was ten times as good as WW, but didn't quite have the "catchyness" of SoT, say hello to middleeastern music once more. The game looks incredibly UGLY, I know games out in 2001 that looked 20 times as good. There are MASSIVE amounts of clipping errors, and I believe the 2 earlier games in the series looked better. This looked horrible. Even the main weapon is 2D. Little to now replay value however, you get one different code for each cleared difficulty setting. (Easy, Normal, Hard) And they are not really hard to get to. The gameplay is excellent, even though the DP takes it down a bit. If you want to buy this, don't set your expectations too high, and appreciate the gameplay, that's about the only thing they nailed in this one.

You owe it to yourself to try this.
23 December 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This game is fantastic. The music, the gameplay, the level of graphics on a PS2.

This is a true epic, the music is wonderful, the end of the game will have you stirred up in a unimaginable way.

The story starts out with our man Snake, being dropped into the Soviet jungle with little equipment. He has to rescue a rocket scientist who requested to be brought to America. But of course, things get more complicated than that.

Graphics: The graphics are incredible for a PS2. Just when you thought the system had nothing more to offer, this proves you wrong. 10/10

Music: The music is incredible, memorable and epic. They fit the action and cutscenes perfectly, frankly, I've never seen a game with so great music. 10/10

:::SPOILER:::

Gameplay: The gameplay is brilliant, the game breaks the fourth wall in game many times. You always have more than one way to do a certain things. Like the battle with one of the bosses, you can get past him in 3 different ways. The detail in the gameplay is evident all the way. You can do so much, this is remarkable for a game. The CQC moves are great, but many moves you don't really bother to use. Why use 5-6 seconds to strangle someone when you can just as easily slit their throats? I would just let Snake have one knife, which he use both in CQC and as the Survival Knife (When not equipped together with the pistol) And if you grab someone barehanded, you can't slit their throats and stuff. The game spends to much time in menus, which could annoying people, but it's not really that much. 9/10.

Story: Greatest story ever in a video game, no question about it. It's great, ties in with the era and all. Name one game outside the series that have a better story and I'll show you a green dog. 10/10

Voice acting: The voice acting is superb, a skillful cast indeed, the only exception is Snake himself which a FEW times sounds a little bad. But that's really nothing to care about. 10/10.

Short: You have to love this game, the story, music, everything. The characters are memorable, the boss fights are great. This game alone is reason enough to buy a PS2.

Metal Gear Solid (1998 Video Game)
Definitely the best one I've ever played
2 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This game is so incredible! It even beats it's successors on some points.. The music fit so well, the gameplay was so fun. Every aspect of it, no matter how insignificant it was played a role in the game. Everything mattered.. If you have played the sequel, you will notice many things the original was building up. But not be discouraged, this game does build up to a sequel. It works so incredibly great on it's own too. You will only be left wanting more. And there is NO cliffhanger ending.. Only when Ocelot briefly introduces "Solidus", but that is not a cliffhanger.. I was stunned by this game from beginning to end. Try it, if you don't, you're really missing out on something.
