Australian Survivor (2016)
Much better than US Version
This show is really well done and keeps the form of original Survivor. US Version is going off track shortening episodes, length of season, dividing into 3 tribes and eliminating rewards. Australian version runs longer with more depth and we really get to know the contestants and appreciate their struggles without producers trying to falsely create drama that really doesn't seem to be there as in recent US versions. So much more real I've even rewatched a couple of series though I knew final outcome. I really hope it comes back. Aussies deserve credit for elevating this format. When watching Survivor you want to see contestants really going through something and wonder if you could ever handle that kind of challenge - this show gives something to appreciate and admire whether you like the players or not. Winners really deserve what they get.
Let Them All Talk (2020)
Filmed the pitch and forgot to write a script
This might have been a good idea but they forgot actually write the story and add the dialogue to the script. They didn't fill in the characters, missed all the conversations that should have been filmed with dialogue, and just added music and silent scenes of the actors apparently interacting - maybe to make it seem arty? Did the script writer die before fleshing out the notes used to pitch this to investors and they just decided to shoot what they had? Sad waste of some great talent and a terrible disappointment.
Bridesmaids (2011)
Worst movie ever!
The only redeeming parts of this movie were the ones without the other women! A couple of scenes with Kristen Wiig alone were sweet - the ones that weren't attempting to be funny. But as it's marketed as a comedy for and about women and as that it is a massive failure. Does anyone in this generation have the ability to tell a story without attempting to make jokes out of masturbation and bodily functions? This was supposed to be a comedy for women, not 12 year old boys. It takes real skill and a real story to make those things truly funny and not just lame and sad. I have never felt the need to write a review before but the fact that I saw this rated as a 7 something and read a reviews that said this was hilarious upset me. What a waste of film! Don't waste your time or money on this title.
