Great shark flick
11 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Doctors at the research station, Aquatica are doing experiments on Mako sharks. They are trying to harvest protein from the sharks' brains so it can be used to cure Alzheimers Disease. However, a normal-sized sharks' brain would not be able to develop enough protein so the doctors figured out a way to increase the sharks' brain size so they would be able to harvest a sufficient amount of protein. Since their brains got bigger, they got smarter and more aggressive.

Soon, things go horribly wrong. The sharks begin flood the whole facility. The sharks then come after them, and its a race to make it to the surface.

This is a very frightening and suspenseful movie that will have you on the edge of your seat. It's definitely one worth watching. Personally, I think this is the best shark movie since Jaws 2.

Terrific horror movie; one of the best
17 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Friday the 13th is definitely one of the best horror movies ever. This is definitely a must-see for any horror movie fan.

The movie begins at Camp Crystal Lake in 1958 with a spooky opening sequence in which two counslers are brutally murdered by an unseen killer. The camp then closes down. We then fast-forward about 20 or so years, and they are trying to open up Camp Crystal Lake to inner-city children. Seven counslers are to report and finish fixing up the camp to make it more suitable. However, someone isn't happy about them opening up. Someone begins stalking them, and then brutally murdering them, one-by-one. There are some throat cuttings, an axe in the face, a spear through the throat, a guy impaled on a door with arrows, a decapitation, and, of course, a few stabbings. Then, we get a twist as we head toward the climax as we find out the killer's identity and motive.

This movie is one of the scariest movies i've ever watched. Like Halloween, the suspense slowly builds to an intense, very suspenseful climax. And, just when you think its all over, there is one last "jolt". I strongly recommend this movie. I also recommend Friday the 13th, Part 2 and Halloween.

Great Sequel!
17 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This film, in my opinion, is one of the best sequels in the Halloween series. Its also very different from all of the other Michael Myers films, which I found to be a good thing. First off, I think that the quick-cuts in the opening sequence at the very beginning are really cool. Also, the soundtrack is great although I wish some of the themes in the theatrical release could've been used a little more often. The film also contains some pretty intense suspense in a few of the scenes and some great deaths. However, the plot is pretty weak, and the ending has little to do with the rest of the story. Therefore, the story makes very little sense in the end, but the ending is still pretty good. Its totally action-packed, and full of thrills. Here's what I make of the ending in terms of the plot standpoint: It seems to me that Michael Myers simply used the cult members to get to Jamie and the rest of his family. Also, I think that the cult was experimenting and attempting to control "pure evil" all these years. And all those test tubes, DNA profiles, and charts laying around are all a possible reason for Michael's "curse." I know this seems dumb, but this is really the only explanation I can obtain. The details are very sketchy.

Although the plot is weak, we do get some answers. We find out who the "mysterious man-in-black" is; it turns out to be one of the main characters. We do find out a little bit of what happened on the night Jamie was abducted in Halloween 5.

However, the plot raises many new questions that are never answered. Even though there are a few negative aspects in this movie, I still recommend it. I also recommend Halloween I, II, IV, and H2O.

It doesn't get much worse than this.
16 July 2005
This film was terrible. I almost couldn't believe that Sci Fi was actually airing this garbage. The plot/storyline is bad, the acting is pretty bad, and the special effects (the tornadoes, clouds, etc.) are extremely bad and look very fake. I personally think that I could've done better, more realistic-looking special effects than the people that made this movie. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??????!!!!!! The opening scene is actually the best part of the whole movie, and that is not saying very much. It's still bad. I thought that the rest of the movie couldn't possibly be any worse; IT WAS!!! (i.e. It started off bad and went downhill from there.) Don't even waste your time watching this movie. Pass it up.

I also want to say that the other movies in the "Nature Unleashed" series are also pretty bad. Pass them up, too.
