Andor: The Axe Forgets (2022)
Don't be in a hurry
This show carries its pace for a reason. There's a great story being told here, and they intend you to savor it. I can't say enough good things about this show.
The tone and feel are what they should be. The Empire is too complacent and uncaring, and people aim to make them pay. It's truly the beginning of a cause, and you can feel it in the characters. Nobody is doing anything on a whim.
Character development takes center stage, but also an important build for what's coming. I want to see the main mission carried out successfully, but also don't want to miss the wonder of what's going to be happening at the same time. So far, the show promises that great things are coming, and the quality of every scene makes you believe that they'll deliver.
Lost: The Constant (2008)
The best episode of the best show
The show holds up over time, and this episode is a shining example. All facets hit on all cylinders. Should be on everyone's bucket list. No matter how many times I've seen it, it brings on the tears.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous: The Nublar Six (2022)
Solid ending
This has been a great series overall, and they did well with the hard work of navigating the plot in a way that adds to the film franchise. Very solid, satisfying ending.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Trolls everywhere
The bottom line is this: the low ratings you're seeing are absolutely trolls. This isn't perfect, but it's very good. I like where this is headed. If you've watched the other Disney+ series, this is probably better than season 1 of mandalorian l, and definitely better than book of boba fett.
Moon Knight: Asylum (2022)
Undeniably good
I've been a fan of Moon Knight most of my life. Overall, the show has delivered a great take on a character many people don't know. This episode represents what most people have found in so much of the MCU. Whether you're a fan or not when you got here, this is justun undeniably great entertainment. Fantastic story and acting.
The Batman (2022)
Very Good film
I've seen/heard a lot of hype for this movie. It's a gritty, film-noir take on Batman, and it's well made. It's hard to do something with the character that's just conpletely new or unique, but there are some innovations here, especially early in the film.
That being said, it's probably a little over-hyped. Nothing here makes me feel like this is better than Nolan's Batman. Mainly, the film suffers some from it's pacing. I never remember seeing a Nolan film, and thinking "How much longer IS this?". This film could benefit greatly by getting down to be about thirty minutes shorter. If you're a Batman fan, this is must-see. But don't expect it to be the best you can see.
