Lots of fun!
20 May 2024
I think the very good year was actually William Shatner's version.

I didn't like this at first. I had to really surrender my ego to let this silly ridiculous show be fun. Then it was like going to Disneyland or something equally outside of reality that is just fun! I really loved that the casting and a lot of the one liners were just what you would expect! The Mad Men were the Mad Men! I admit I could watch Max Greenfield all day long! He is so adorable and it was great that he and Cedric were both there!

The twist! I loved it!

Jerry Seinfeld, a man who never needs to work again, always seems to be giving back. I like that a lot. I knew there would be great cars when I saw he made the show! I have no idea what that little station wagon he was driving is but it seemed like a step back in time and very cool! I wonder if it came from his private collection?

I think kids and adults with an ability to connect with their inner child will be enjoying this 100 years from now.

I wish there was a 7.5 stars. I rounded up.
7 March 2024
The original rating for "The Godfather" for years was 8.2 so I feel 7.5 is plenty sufficient for this film. It wasn't particularly interesting. At no point did the music hold my attention. It made me think that maybe Bernstein wasn't really all that talented and was maybe more jerk than genius. I don't know that Bradley Cooper's acting was egotistical as one reviewer adamantly insisted or if it was spot in for playing an arrogant person? It made me think of Denzel Washington's interview about his lead in "Mo' Better Blues" when he admitted he was less than kind toward the actress playing his wife because his character was notoriously bad to his wife and he could not let any other feelings leak through the performance. Daniel Day Lewis chose to stop acting rather than subject those he loves to anymore of his being in character for long stretches of filming. It has to be awful work when you reach so far inside of yourself and sometimes live for long periods of time in an essence of oneself that we all posses for an extended period of time rather than the brief flash it might usually rare it's ugly head!

I think Bradley Cooper is a very good actor and a great commercial actor. I only really love him in Rom Coms. For which they don't usually give Oscars, so I get the "honor" being in dramatic work, but, but....comedies and laughter heal! What was "The Devil Wears Prada?" I liked that one better and it was semi biographical.

I don't think it was Bradley Cooper's acting. I do agree the nose was off, though I do not think Mr. Cooper's real nose looked like Leonard Bernstein's, neither did the prosthetic, but that said his nose would have changed over time. I think his acting was very good and I have not seen better in the few Oscar nominated movies I have seen so far. It was a lot better film than "Oppenheimer". I got a refund for that. I am expecting "Poor Things" to be better. Knock on wood. I really loved the last scene! I could finally feel the music and see the real man!

I don't think I have cried that much since Schindler's List
5 January 2024
I don't think I have cried that much since Schindler's List!

It just tore me up! I was so sure the star was going to die because she was struggling with an impossible situation. I am still shaking. Those are some of the finest actors of my lifetime here together doing what they do best! Florence acts way beyond her years! I don't begin to understand how someone her age can have such bearth. I am pretty sure that is not a word. It means breath, depth and width. Maybe I made it up. I dunno. Anyway, it fits!

Clearly I was pulled into the story and drama and to think Zac Braff wrote and directed this! What is happening with the kids now days? I guess he is not a kid anymore. He is a really talented writer and filmmaker to have not only written this but to have assembled the cast he has including Morgan Freeman and Molly Shannon! Kudos Mr. Braff.

This film is kind of like the dope series and... I don't know, it's just very emotionally deep and dealing with really intense emotional matters that maybe you have to have lived a little life to really appreciate the gravity of what they're presenting in this movie. I'd love to hear a younger person's perspective on it because the acting is pretty much carried by younger people and they do a phenomenal job and I just wonder if they could perform like this, could younger people really connect with the film. I will never understand this movie averaging a 7.1 here because it's far superior than that. I think it should be averaging in the low to mid eights to be fair. Although it is 4.5 out of five on prime where I viewed it, which would be a nine out of 10 so maybe at all averages out.

It's an excellent excellent movie and if you are up to something that's emotionally demanding then I really recommend it.

LMAO!
18 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, I love this show... but let's be real! Some have said it is a parody of the many car remodeling shows on air. I cannot entirely disagree because some of what they say is clearly made up!

The prices of the cars they start off with for instance, easy enough to look up. Season 5, 2012 Dodge Charger they supposedly paid $22k for when the prices range in this area about 13kt! Then the same thing on the Ferrari they go on and on about as if it is worth a lot more than the $100k? Then I saw what they did with it and it was stunning! And Andy who bought it was as beautiful as the car! Really a classy man! I have no idea who he is, love his understated elegance though!

The VW Van as a top to a pontoon boat when those old VW buses bring upwards of $80k, but that is the choice one might make for interesting tv, not auto resell. It is really funny! A cool play toy for that family who got it!

Shawns return to the previous party hot spot at the cove looking for a buyer for the pontoon! Oh man, we have all been there! You get a little nervous thinking you will show up and there will only be kids there, like you were, like the old skating rink! Then you show up and no one is there! It's not hip, you are Not the oldest person there, you are the only one there! With the lady who had the hip replacement! She was cool though!

The VW Bus pontoon, "car-toon" turned out beautifully. It would have been worth twice as much on wheels!?

I love seeing it though I am Not a fam of Teslas nor have I enjoyed riding in nor driving them! Seeing what they did to that Tesla made my heart sing! I love that car! I love the paint job! Such a cool car! I would drive that Tesla! I was glad when the owner of the car shop told the guy offering 78k to use it as eye candy in his office no! I was drinking beer a and cheering! Heck yea! The lis plates for that car need to be - Tesla! I liked the guy who bought it! He seemed like he would appreciate it! Go Dude! He had neat trades too! Obviously a generous kind of man!

BTW, use some lube, the fan belt on the Tesla nor the door on the VW need to squeak!

And yes, the negotiating is ridiculous! They started off at $35k on the pick up to the racer chick, then went to 40k, then to $32.5k.

It is still a really fun show and the fact that they are so off the wall.... "Car-toon!" truly makes it that much more fun!

Do a cool old Cadillac, like a '76 Fleetwood Brougham or an '84-'86 Lincoln Towncar, nice land cruiser!! Na, nvm. Another shop does those! You guys are doing your own stuff! I love the originality!

Back to watching! Thanks guys for the fun!

We want Monk back!
17 December 2023
We want Monk back!

These characters are classic and wonderful and amazing and beautiful! I cried a few times watching it because it's touching and sweet and it's simple. Please bring this back! Can you? I really loved it!

Tony Shaloub is still sexy!

It was great to see Sharona and Julie! I have not figured out how monks wife's daughter is in the show and how she had a daughter that I don't remember hearing about before even though I've watched every episode repeatedly. I really hope that this show will come back and be a regular at least quarterly although I would watch a daily! Vasquez 25 this is a great show. It's an intelligent show! I don't know if you were a fan of the original monk then you're gonna love this! Please bring it back!

What I gotta beg here?

Snake Oil (2023– )

Well let's see, there is always a Winner and you get David Spade!!
9 November 2023
I think my title said it all! If you are like me you cannot tolerate watching these game shows where people walk away without enough to cover the cost of taking time off to tape the show! Boo! Hiss!

Not with this show! Someone always wins enough to make it worth their time!

David Spade looks even better than ever and of course is witty as heck! I love this guy!

And he grows on me where I like him more with time. He was always good, now he is really good, and cute!

He seems like a sincere gentleman as well which is nice to see. I just enjoy the tar outta the guy. I watch this show!

You can rewind it too, on Sling anyway, so I can go back and review things! I am a little nitpicking and analytical so I like to review the details and try to figure out what makes sense. I have gotten much better at identifying the fakes (snake oil). One of the most fun things is when they show a product that is new or has a limited market and I have actually seen it! I get a kick out of that! I knew 2 of the products on tonight's show! 1 of them was correctly guessed to legit and got the winner into the final! It's a close to home kind of game! Some clever people created this one!

It just never fails to disappoint!

Warning: Spoilers
I mean what the heck!?

Am I the only one who works on the 3 strikes rule?

Strike 1., Having our beloved Wynona Judd and not having her sing and barely showing her!

Strike 2. Sending home a contestant who has more Grammys than most of them, oops! Wax in their ears? Drugs? I dunno. I could tell she was special and when they let her go I went and read about her and my mouth fell open. Ok, judges, pros! Pffft Strike 3. Chechi Serai. Yes, this was an off night for her. That said, the other 2 songs she has done and if you googled her you know she has the vocal range to nail Whitney Houston. I am not going to insult any of the other singers. They are good too. I am just sick of this show being a pos when it counts. It is like trying to be a Cowboy's fan when Tony Romo was QB. My stomach is not strong enough to deal with this. Any why did Reba not steal Chechi? "I know how he feels"? Think she couldn't have tackled that oldie but one of the neatest songs ever? I got to go. I cannot allow myself to be emotionally abused like this anymore! Good bye!

LMAO! What kind of idiot would watch this who didn't love it?

LMAO! What kind of idiot would watch this who didn't love it?

What I'm saying here is that about 2 minutes into the film, you get what the film is and what it's about and if you don't like it then you should turn it off! I mean why would someone sit through the whole film and then come on here and badmouth what it was, which was absolutely hysterical!

As an animal rescuer, who spends most of my time with Dogs, I laughed until I cried, I cried until I cried! Sometimes I had to turn it off, because I just needed to catch up and then turn it back on! It's one of the best movies I've ever seen! I feel so sorry for whatever would be going on inside of someone that they would not appreciate this movie in the first place, but yeah to each their own, and watch it if they didn't like it? It doesn't make sense. If you love animals, and you love a little bit of raunchy humor, if "Bad Santa" was your kind of movie, then you're gonna love this! Just like I did! If you don't love it, then turn up the frick off and shut up and go away! Take some responsibility for your own choices!

This is an excellent comedy with heart made by some of the best comedic talent in the business. OMG! Sofia Vergara as a couch! Come on! That is funny! Sweet, funny movie! Dennis Quaid! LOL! That stupid bird! I have to stop or issue a spoiler alert! It is funny!

Love Again (I) (2023)

Sure it's a formula film!
3 September 2023
Robert Simonds couldn't have done it better! There is a reason though why that formula brings in the big bucks consistently!! For 2 hours I get to fall in love! No risk, ok low risk, little money, a few tears and then finally like the postponed orgasm, the boy and girl get together and we know they live happily ever after!!

So saying you don't like this is like saying you don't like sex, or at least love and definitely romance!

Having Celine involved, ohh lalala! Those legs! Insured through Lloyds of London? My beautiful daughter was one of the kids who did back up vocals for her on the title track of the album with the Titanic song. It was great seeing her and David Foster work with the kids, such warmth and connection! It was very clear even way back then that she loves kids! We were joined by Olivia Newton-John as her daughter Chloe was also singing back up. She took me by the hand and we toured the Record Plant or Factory, anyway, she had recorded songs in most of the studios there, knew everyone and they had pictures of her all over the place! It was really a surreal experience!

One of the kids was even Lenny Goldsmith's son Taylor who heads his own band now and is married to another sweet kid we used to see around town, Mandy Moore!

Getting to see Celine in a RomCom like this and playing such a fun role really added to it for me because she is a deep river or soulful intensity.

And that Mrs. Jonas!! I've never actually seen anything, anyone like her! I mean sure there are lots of quadruple threats out there, but damn, not many who are as alluring to watch! I realized in one of her kissing scenes that probably if anyone actually put that much of themselves into a kiss, I'd probably feel really freaked out, but it looks great on the screen! She is one sexy and very convincing lady! She acts with her eyes, like Tom Hardy! I was reminded of when he carried that Chris Nolan film wearing a flight helmet the whole time and all we could see was his eyes, and he held us!

This kid in this in the male role could even be the next Bond, though I have had my heart set on James McAlvoy! A hot, grounded Scottish actor as Bond again!? Be still my Connery heart! Ok, I think I have misspelled enough here! Sorry about that!

I cannot imagine anyone who likes this genre, and has the balls to admit it, not enjoying the heck out of this!

It will make you want to eat pizza and ice cream!

And it would probably get you laid!

Judge Steve Harvey (2022– )
10/10
Best judge show ever because Steve has such a huge heart!
16 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to say he is clearly smarter and more compassionate than any other tv judge I have watched!

That said, I want to let the show runners and Judge Harvey know that in S2, ep 5, "Stay Lit or Get Gone" the girl whose car pulled itself into other lanes and caused a crash was a known defect with many years and mode.s of Kia's! My Mom gave me, with a substantial payoff due, her 2010 Kia Forte when it was just a few years old and very few miles because it kept doing that to her! It scared her so much, she quit driving! Kia only recalled the Optima formally and agreed to fix any other models where the problem occurred! That was their agreement with the National Department of Transportation. However in reality they actually refused to fix the problem. I finally traded the car that should have been worth $10,000.00, $19,000.00 new, for $4,000.00:off because of the problem and the receiving dealership, Kern VW, signed a disclosure and waiver with me that they were taking full responsibility to make the repairs on the var and make sure it was safe before it was resold! Please understand this was only after Kia of N. America had told on re orded lines repeatedly that they would fix it amd then backed out when I took the car to the dealership and spent days off work dealing with this car supposedly being repaired and them not even opening the hood because they said that Kia of N. Am refused to give them the authorization when they had already agreed to fix it! And no, there was never a formal recall issued! This almost got me killed driving the car through Malibu Canyon and almost killed my Mom before that. I wanted you to know this because you were so sure a formal recall would have been sent to the young lady in that case. I am sure she was very shaken up after the car ran into other cars and burst into flames. You were rough with her and you seem to be harder on women, btw. You are hysterical and I love you and you might figure out women are worthy even if they aren't teachers, Moms or some profession you deem respectable. I am a Mom almost your age and having experienced what she went through I was feeling for her.

A lot of tv for the "money"
14 August 2023
I was super happy to see this Gal Gadot adventure and wonder if it was really a movie they turned into a serial.

Alia Bhatt was fun to watch too! I can't stand Jamie Dornan and find him to be ridiculously stiff. If just standing there snd being good looking is acting, how about a statue? Annoying. This would have been a lot better with an actor in that role. Gal Gadot and Sophie Okomeda pretty much carried it. Could they have gotten James McAvoy for the Jamie Dornan role of they wanted a Scot? Maybe he would have been a lot more expensive, but wow, a lot more interesting! McAvoy and Gadot together would be fun!

Gadot was great and this is a couple of hours of fast paced entertainment. There was some good humor too.

The kind of general premise that 90% of the people in the movie were corrupt and 10% good kind of sucks because these things in movies influence how people think. I guess it was mostly just entertaining. Gal Gadot is fun to watch.

Love this show, no Ryan Seacrest host please!
13 August 2023
I love Wheel of Fortune and have watched it for decades!! Pat and Vanna are amazing! I have to admit that I have imagined their kids would take over the show! One of Vanna's sons and Maggie Sajak!!

It is a family show, a legacy!

I get that Ryan Seacrest is a professional host and well respected. This is a special show and I think we have even been teased that the kids would take over. I am pretty sure I am not the only one who not only has been looking forward to someday seeing the kids take over, but feels less of a loss of Pat hosting if it were one of Vanna's kids or Maggie taking over! I haven't seen the episode where Vanna hosted and would like to check that out too. Maybe Vanna could host again and Maggie take Vanna's role until Vanna wants to retire ?

How about Dunkirk which he carries for 2 hours with just his eyes?
31 July 2023
Tom Hardy is an amazing actor! I am hoping for James McAvoy as the new Bond but I would never miss an opportunity to see Tom Hardy in any role! Maybe Tom would be more fun to see what he would do with the role! I do think Barbara Brocoli is going to have to go with a really strong actor and I know non male stronger than Tom or James who would work as Bond!

I missed his Peaky Binders episodes and am off to find them!

Hmm, too short. Ok, I wonder how much they pay a truly great actor versus a really great entertainer, promoter for a movie role. Business side of me says it's all based on box office and it probably is. I guess his Dark Knight was a huge box office. Did he get paid a fortune? I saw that movie with my daughter and she spent the whole show convincing me that was Tom Hardy and I kept arguing with her because I just didn't see where it could be because he was so scary and I just don't usually see Tom Hardy is being that gruff and menacing! I have noticed that when I try to watch his even older movies, they still make you pay to rent them as opposed to streaming them for free!

Judge Mom (2021– )
1/10
What in the heck kind of dog shite did I just step in?
25 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This woman should probably not Mother children let alone be any kind of pretend judge. I mean seriously, as a real Mom I am offended! I watched a couple of episodes. It is entertaining. However when you get to dealing with actually serious matters with such recklessness, it is concerning. For instance, the young lady, Miss Fuentes, on the "Whistleblower" episode was depicted in clearly false evidence in pictures on social media. The judge "Sandy" made all sorts of humiliating fun of this poor girl who had said she has an anxiety disorder, as she said repeatedly those were old pictures of her and not a realistic depiction of her and her state of mind now. Anyone with eyes could tell those were old pictures of her to the extent that she didn't even have braces on her teeth in the old pics. Her face was several years younger and her hair was a different color, probably highlighted. But this pretend judge woman who gives women and Mom's a bad look is completely oblivious to anything beyond the sound of her own voice. No real Mom would have been making fun of that girl with her anxiety disorder, for which the business she worked for wrongfully terminated her. If when she came back to work the boss had sat down and had a respectful conversation with jer they could have both learned and had the opportunity to create a better workplace for everyone. Unfortunately this dumb judge missed the opportunity to give insights into any of this and just sat there making fun of the girl, calling her names and laughing at her. If you want a real Mom to play judge on your show, give me a call! I could do a million times better job, as could probably the Mom's of anyone who sees this show or this post. I'm legitimately a lot funnier too!

BTW, another episode is playing as I type this, once again a loud mouth just adding to the commotion, LMAO, and now she yells at the people on the show that none of them know how to listen. And that dress looks like $25 from a halloween store, bad peop too! Barf!

Judge Steve Harvey is a million times better.

Sarah Snook worthy of a better movie
8 July 2023
What a waste of talent. It's just a silly stupid movie. It was definitely not horrifying, it was just in bad taste. There is a difference. I don't for a minute believe Elizabeth Moss was ever going to make this movie. I think they used that to snooker Sarah Snook into doing the movie and shame on them. I'm sure she was probably also enticed by it being made in her homeland and she was expecting a baby, I think, about that time or just had a baby so there was a lot going on as well as wrapping up "Succession". Anyway I look forward to her future work in worthy pieces.

Be smart. Don't get suckered into lesser works.

Glad to get to see Kim Catrall!
25 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's a weird show! It does have a lot of the same kitchiness, no idea how to spell that, as Zoe's Playlist and The Unstoppable Kimmy.... It's dedinitely super light weight humor. The Marco character is adorable and I think it was easy to see Marco as a girl, whixh is strange for me. He really could walk in those heels better than I ever could! I think being a slightly built man, so string muscles and lower bmi has to help with that. Zi don't think I have ever seen anyone have heels mastered like he does. I think if you can enjoy it for the fun factor, then it is a good rom com series. I am really unclear as non movie business person how they did this series with the many political aspects that are obviously going to be there not feeling in your face. It just does not come off as political, to me. It's just a silly, funny, rom com with mostly good performances. I know, it reminds me of "Acapulco!" another sweet light weight rom com series, that I hope to see more of!

God Bless Mayim Bialik for shining a light on this important subject.
18 June 2023
God bless Mayim Bialik for shining a light on this incredibly important subject. As I have seen people deal with. Alzheimer's and dementia for over 50 years now, I think several things are very important.

1. There are not only different types of dementia with Alzheimer's being the most prevalent, there are different types of Alzheimer's. I saw my dear sweet multi phd uncle come down with it at about age 72 and 5 years later he had lost control of life sustaining functions and passed. They called his early onset which he explained to me when he was first diagnosed had nothing to do with when he showed signs but that it is known to be aggressive and he would not live long. I made it a point to call him regularly and he progressed quickly and life to him was soon mostly about enjoying fine wine and telling anyone who would listen how much he loved his wife and ask if you had talked to any of his 5 sons. I very clearly got the impression that he, a former USC football player, had taken to chasing his still attractive wife around the house! I guess we could call that the good and the bad. I still find it impossible to believe that such a rock of a man is gone.

A completely different example would be my Mom, his older sister's case. She has a type of Alzheimer's that has barely progressed since diagnosed about 12-14 years ago. She refers to it as having a bad memory, so bad she will ask you the same question 5 minutes later. Other than her bad memory she is capable, lives on her own and has a full fun happy life. She has benefitted from having 3 daughters and 1 son and we pretty much fight for the opportunity to do anything we can to enrich her life which includes obtaining the finest herbs for Alzheimer's out of Japan, Juice+ supplements, lively daily conversations to keep her current and engaged. We also were privy to the insights of the doctor who heads up the Harvard Healthy Brain Institute. He said that the 2 things he had found that made the biggest difference in slowing down dementia is 1. Let people talk. 5hey need to tell their stories and holding them in their head with no outlet makes it worse. 2. He said that doing anything daily that involves you using your body in a different way and thinking in a different way keeps your brain striving to create new neuro junctions and fights off the progression of dementia! My sisters and I take Mom on trips, engage her daily asking her opinion on matters of all kind. We challenge her to do different things physically in such a subtle way she has no idea we are doing it. Yesterday her phone was across the room so she could not see her "Skylight" digital frame one of my sisters got for her. I had just sent some pictures to her and I explained it was important to me to know they had gotten to her snd that they are of her great grand children. She walked over, bent over, picked up the frame and stood there leaning on one of her chairs, found and pushed the button to accept the new pictures and then stood there and explained to me what she was seeing and we joyously discussed her youngest great grans. Not that she had not done any of that before but not in that order and definitely not while perching over the back of one of her big chairs. That used a whole new combination and you could tell she was electrified by the experienced!

Most importantly though is my Mom herself. My Mom who has accomplished extraordinary things in her life while still being your normal nice lady next door has always taken control and responsibility for her own brain and the effects her thoughts have on her life. She was not only 4H's top tomato grower in Missouri in 1958, she also was a awarded a full ride scholorship to Northwestern at that same time. So she is a bright lady and has spent a lot of time herself studying the brain and how it works and taught her kids the importance of being responsible for our own thoughts. She is also a Biblical scholar, as was my Dad, and I think that helps her too, a strong foundation and base in anything that keeps you grounded and you can refer back to. For me it is probably backgammon which I have played as if it were my sport since I was about 7-8. It is the most complicated simple game ever and called the game of kings and generals for a reason! That said, just playing backgammon is still using the same neurotransmitters over and over and does not really meet the good doctor's description using different muscles that require engaging different thought processes. It is just something I can hang my hat on, find myself in because of having strong, long roots in that game. I am Biblical about BG! LOL!

My Mom, in addition to Bible study for us kids 2-3 times a week, also actually had me studying Ernest Holmes "The Science of the Mind", "The Silvan Mind Control Method", "How to Win Friends and Influence People, and "Think and Grow Rich." She also had me enrolled in community college summer school starting at the age of 13 which meant I was a college junior by the time high school graduation came around. So I say this just to point out that there are a lot of things we can do before mental impairment stars to slow it as well as different ways it develops. I don't want us buying into the stereotypes I keep seeing of what dementia looks like and how it develops. We can in many ways outsmart this.

The story in "As They Made Us" reflects one experience of Alzheimer's. It is just 1 possibility.

Rocked it, best one yet!
11 June 2023
This was so much sexier because of the intimacy and having the warmth and maturity of an actress like Salma Hayek who could really bring all soul and heart and integrity to the role!

I loved the whole story because I totally got everything they were talking about and the power plays of men versus women. I don't wanna give anything away but yeah that's really how it really goes down and maybe it's a fantasy but it was pretty cool to see her come back and put it on the line and do it her way!!

And he was in his best shape and form ever! I can't believe he used to be my neighbor and I only even talk to him once! He's a nice guy as well as being really talented!

The guy playing the part of the ex did a great job of playing a dick! A gaslighting dick at that!

It was good to see he was the only jerk in the movie anyway and the other men were portrayed to be decent men.

The dancing was really beautiful. I liked the first one best and remembered dancing like that a long time ago with a lover and had completely forgotten about it! I can imagine this movie might remind a lot of people of a strong, passionate side of themselves.

That first dance scene definitely goes on my list as one of the best dance scenes ever, We all need more fun! And sexy men rock!

Fresh

A few twist, Everything explained.

I am sure the right Hollywood crew. Could do it better, with a big budget. This was well done for probably a respectable budget. The characters were relatable, even the villains.

I don't know why it is so hard to get a movie made in Australia. One would think they would be wide open to jump on the bandwagon. I have heard from some very high level people it is hard to get done there.

Maybe they don't want the corruptive influenced, cannot blame them.

We have all enjoyed time in Australia and Australian friends. It's a beautiful country. Way too bad about that hole in the ozone right above them and the effect. Totally have to wear lots of sunscreen!

I digress, fun movie! Starts off ketchy, then gets better. The actors all seemed sweet and fresh, which is nice.

If you hang in past the first 1/2 hour, I think you will enjoy it.

Jeopardy! Masters (2023– )

Ken Jennings has become great at hosting!
25 May 2023
This series was a lot of fun though it seemed a bit long to me. I enjoyed seeing the six top contestants and learning a little bit about them. James Holzhauer seemed like a total jerk at first and I have not liked him on The Chase and eventually as I learned more about him and his interest and his youth I really grew to enjoy him as well. I think I'll give The Chase another chance!

I can't believe how good Ken Jennings has become at hosting! I think he makes Alex Trebek look horrible and he really had gotten terrible over the years, compared to how cute and fun and witty he was in the beginning. I guess you'd have to have watched it forever, like me, to make that comparison. Ken is fresh like Alex was 20 years ago before he became cranky and insulting to the contestants.

I'm very excited about both Ken and Mayim hosting because they each bring such different things to the show although right now I think Ken is doing a better job at hosting because he seems more light and funny as for Mayim is really serious. Secondly I'm kind of enjoying the consistency of Ken's look for the moment, until I get bored, as where Mayim's changes each show. I think maybe she should go with some brighter colored suits and stay consistent in the style like Meredith Vieira does on 25 Words Or Less.

I think Ken did a great job of hosting Jeopardy Masters! I loved googling him and seeing pictures of him and his family and his adorable son, who looks just like him! His daughter who looks just like his beautiful wife! It's just fun to get to know about people.

I'm really shocked to see that they're being paid so little compared to what Alex Trebek was paid. I mean how can you justify paying them $1 million each when he was paid $18 million just for one person? I guess it's all about ratings which dictates the advertising dollars brought in although we know from the crash in 2009 that can change a lot based on the economy which is kind of bad right now, post Covid. I don't think it's any 1/6 of what it was though which means the show owners might be taking advantage of these two, a little bit, not that $1 million is a bad starting salary but they are each giving their time and doing a good job! Actually doing a great job, doing a much better job than any host who has done it before, as far as I'm concerned! I know I will get arguments about that but they're nice, they're happy, they're friendly, they're positive, they're doing a good job!

The Blacklist (2013–2023)

whoever wrote this last show
22 May 2023
Whoever wrote this latest episode, "The Sicilian Error of Color" has clearly never ever seen a bullfight, whi h I do not blame them for. Why not find another storyline though? Bullfighting is a horrid activity!

The matador only kills bull once it is so weakened it can barely see or stand, with most of its blood running out of it, from the injuries suffered by the cowardly picadors riding by on their horses and stabbing it with swords, many of which they leave stuck in the bull! Animal cruelty at it's finest!

Great job "Blacklist" taking a once great show and falling to a new low!

It's kind of like rescuing a dog defying death from a Los Angeles High Kill shelter and then returning it! Sub human!

Jacky.

Horrible storyline!
7 May 2023
Good example of someone being so excited that they can do something they don't stop to consider if they should. What were the film makers hoping to accomplish with this? It made me really sad and more sad to see the resources that were spent to make that movie when for that budget we could probably solve most of the abandoned and being killed dog and cat problem in Los Angeles County! Please feel free to donate to my rescue Furever Home Small Animal Medical rescue through our sponsor at vacdaddywand com next time you have extra money to blow because while you were making this pointless movie 50,000 dogs and cats died! Breaks my heart.

I didn't really like it, but it is great!
19 April 2023
I didn't like it... too real! I expected to be more entertained and Alex sings really well! That was a great surprise! She is obviously a really nice, kind lady with a huge heart and sense of humanity. She swayed my views on a couple of things. She reminded me of a couple others. When the show was over I found myself immediately calling my Mom, a former leader of the women's republican committee who has voted demo on occasions . Not surprisingly we agreed on everything. I mean she is a really nice lady too, and she raised me.

I just ran into a man who has been abusive toward me for years. This time I smiled at him. That is so much worse than me avoiding him. Thank you for the kick in the pants Alex!

I think this should be required viewing for men and women over the age of 13. She is quite a talented lady with important messages. No, it's not much of a comedy show. I think I could do it funnier, but then nobody would listen to it because I am not Alex Bornstein. But maybe I will play with it. This actually hit me harder than any of the other social consciousness couched in comedy routines have. Alex is big enough to het away with it, despite apparently being tiny!

I read a lot about her after seeing this even though I have watched her for years and previously knew nothing about her.

I watched the show in the morning. I think that is best because it gave all day to think back on it and won't keep me up tonight!

I don't want to say anything about the show because I don't want to have any spoilers! Some of it was pretty outrageous though! Especially given who is in the audience! Lol She is quoted as saying she does not have a place that says she has gone too far. I cannot imagine! Liberating or terrifying!

Good job!

I love the people with pencils up their backsides who will complain about it. I bet it will still have an effect with them.

Great movie and especially what we needed now
13 March 2023
For me it has special meaning coming out of a different country. At first I was afraid it would be hard to understand and fortunately it changed to English pretty quickly. The actors are all clearly top notch.

I am glad Jamie Lee Curtis was in it. She does the US proud. It was nice to see the famous actress, Michelle Yeoh, who played Eleanor in "Crazy Rich Asians" commanding the lead because she is clearly really versatile A movie like this can do more to heal the world than all the nuclear weapons in the world.

Let's keep up the good work film industry!

I hope we see more movies about understanding beyond the length of our noses!

Dylan McDermott ftw!
24 December 2022
I just stumbled onto this and binging now! I'll watch anything with Dylan McDermott!! Total Zaddy! Still looks young though with more swagger now! I like him as the guy in charge! He is totally believable. I don't think I ever knee he is so long legged. Maybe it's the skinny jeans? I love his many facial expressions! He is not lazy like some actors who seem to barely show up. He really gives you something for your time and money!

I am just seeing this season, I think. I might go back and see some previous seasons I see listed here. I knew it was Dick Wolf as soon as I started watching it.

I love it! Fun show! I like all of the cast a lot! Nice gritty show! Makes me want pizza and beer... and Pie, Mark!
