Asteroid City (2023)
Wes at it again (Don't trust bad reviews)
Asteroid City is Wes Anderson's latest quirky ensemble film, set in a retro-futuristic world. The all-star cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston and so many other gems, who all deliver delightfully deadpan and witty performances.
The story follows a group of teenage space cadets at a summer camp in a fictional desert town in 1955. Their regimented itinerary is upended when a mysterious asteroid lands nearby, sparking excitement and paranoia. Anderson's signature style is on full display, with meticulously crafted sets and costumes, absurdist humor, and oddball characters.
While the plot is rather thin, Asteroid City is a visual treat and showcases Anderson's uncanny ability to create poignant and funny moments out of the smallest details. The film has a sweet message about childhood wonder and imagination. Overall, Asteroid City is a whimsical, heartfelt, and thoroughly entertaining ride that both Anderson fans and newcomers will enjoy. I highly recommend catching this gem of a film on the big screen.
McGregor Forever (2023)
Good for what it is!
Expecting to see a lot of sad reviews from people who just "hate the guy" for no reason.
Overall, this is a good show, it works for the purpose of diving a bit in depth with the guy's life/in and out of the ring. Seeing that he has been out of the game for some time, this comes out a bit late, but he is also on his way back from seeing his massive weight transformation.
I will definitely folllow the show, first episodes didn't dissapoint and looking forward to a bunch more of these fun filled hour long shows.
He's definitely entertaining and this show is too. Enjoy, don't bother with bad reviews from fanboys.
Unhinged (2020)
Oh god, so much went wrong with this movie.
First, the mom makes a million bad decisions and the dumpster fire of a last fight had her taking more hits than an MMA fighter.
Absolute nonsense.
The Super (2017)
Dumbest ending ever.
I am sorry but who the hell can say that this is a good movie. The main character has no expression, straight up dead eyes... The ending makes me wanna tear my eyes out.
There's a ton of 4/10 movies out there that are way better than this.
Phoenix Forgotten (2017)
Absolutely well done found footage/UFO hybrid.
Really loved the movie, it makes sense. Acting is great throughout the movie and the ending just works.
Highly recommended if you're into alien/ufos and found footage style movies.
Halloween (2018)
Who the hell gives anything over 5 to such a trainwreck?
I had great expectations with such high reviews early on.. it does not come even close to being a good movie.
Jamie lee's acting is pretty damn basic, everyone else is just mediocre.
I mean the guy walks 2 miles an hour and has a knife and everyone has guns and cars. This should be done in minutes. This isnt a super hero movie. Hes an old man who killed a few people ages ago.
Im done.
400 Days (2015)
Why in hell did the movie end like this?
I'll go ahead and make a quick review of this because it isn't worth more than the time I actually wasted on the film.
The movie is alright when it comes to entertain you, space related stuff, cabin fever kinda vibe to it.. Actors are of course "so so".. I mean come on, Dane Cook? In theory, after watching the trailer a while back, I was having faith in what could happen in the end, which did not happen in any ways. The whole thing could have basically been a 35 minutes school project and I'd believe it. You constantly ask yourself little questions that are shoved aside because it makes no sense throughout the movie.
In conclusion, the movie could be alright if it wasn't for the horrible ending, which could have been much better. I could personally come up with 5 nice endings that people would give a much better score on that movie.
Oh well, enjoy whatever's good of that cheap space horror movie.
