Overlord (2015)
Instant Affinity
For those who love being at the top of the world, This is the anime for you - I felt an immediate affinity to the show right from the very first episode. I love the main character, and I thoroughly enjoy putting myself in his shoes as I watched the series.
Mild Spoilers:
This anime is about a being who's the strongest in his universe, right from the get go, much like how saitama is in one punch man (my #1 favorite). Because of this plot setting, the journey focuses more on politics, decision making, and his interactions and relationships with the rest of the world around him. I especially enjoy the different personas he adopts as he explores and finds out more about the people, their problems, hopes, fears, and dreams in life. Much like how a God sees a child. And the dynamics can be so exquisite and complex.
That said, this series is quite short for 13 episodes, and Really Really needs a follow up Season 2 ASAP!
If you found my review helpful, give it a shot, you won't regret it!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Best Superman to date
I have no idea what the critics are talking about - Snyder's take on superman is the best to come out of the big screen! It's just as I expected it to be, the comics and the animated versions made into a real film! This is probably the most raw and straight up to your face interpretation of our beloved superheroes yet! F*CK Critics, they are a disease!!!
You'll definitely be running out of popcorn for the entire duration of the film! :D
P.S. Please watch this movie and enjoy it for what it is!!! Experience its true rawness and you will leave in awe and hype!!! Do not own yourself, do not let bias's keep you from enjoying this film! ITS AWESOME!!!
One Punch Man: Wanpanman (2015)
Was once a skeptic
All of my friends were raving about this anime when it came out last Oct 2015, I thought okay fine I'll give it a shot, and mind you, I'm not an anime freak. My preferred genre is slice of life, and even then I still prefer watching live action shows/films.
I finished the entire series in 5 hours straight. I've pre-ordered Saitama's Nendoroid, One punch man card game box, an Oppai hoodie, registered a reddit account to follow the show's reddit page and even IMDb to give this review.
I can pretty much say for sure I've become a certified One Punch Man fanboy.
Just as all the other previous reviews have stated, this anime revolves around a main protagonist who is at the end game. Whereas all other shows have their main characters built up through rigorous training and go through insurmountable challenges, OPM is the strongest ever right from the get go. What makes the show interesting, apart from the heavy action, is how the main character lives his own life - which is very human and very mundane - traits that make him very relate-able to majority of his viewers.
Cheers!
