Road House (2024)
Obnoxious Characters, Nonsense storyline makes this perhaps the worst reboot ever.
So we're all supposed to like this Dalton guy who kills his good friend in an UFC match for no reason or explanation and with no legitimate backstory at all. He has this stupid smile throughout the whole film, has a barfight and drives the victims to the hospital where he meets a nurse who then becomes his love interest then gets kidnapped and taken upon a boat. Most of the scenes don't even happen in the Roadhouse itself. Also stars Connor MacGregor who overacts, even for his standards and this becomes so painfully annoying for the whole film. In the end nothing happens. Characters not to care about. Left me wondering why I bothered. Watch the original film instead.
Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018)
Goosebumps 2
I never read the books but was expecting much more given the books are successful and the tv series is pretty good. The movie kind of dragged on and it was good 45 minutes before anything remotely interesting happens. Not much horror and the action non existing even for a kids movie. The asian guy from the hangover movies is in this for comic relief but is really obnoxious and an idiot. Jack Black is in it for the last 5 minutes but is really a waste of time and talent. I half fell asleep in the last 20 minutes and this movie seemed to drag and the villain never really had a decent motive. Story and plot didn't make sense and was kind of lame.
Norsemen (2016)
Don't waste your time
I watched the first episode on Netflix. It was supposed to be a comedy. The acting was pretty bad and the jokes non-existing or missing the mark completely. If you want to watch something similar having a historical elimate and funny, then watch Robin Hood, Men in tights. Don't waste your time with Norsemen.
Straight Outta Compton (2015)
Made for TV movie
I love this era of music and was really excited when I first heard they were making a movie based on NWA. I must say I was disappointed with the way the story was told and the way certain characters were portrayed. The movie was pretty much from the perspective of Dr Dre and more or less made him out to be the hero. They did everything to portray Eazy as a money grabbing broke loser when it was he who set up NWA. Not only that the time lines of the story were way out of wack, how can Tupac be recording California Love in the Death Row studio in 1993? I also doubt that Dre would've visited Eazy in the hospital as he had no issue with Suge doing his dirty work. This movie was very fictionalised and misses the mark completely. This movie is more suited to daytime telly..overrated crap.
