Scream Queens (2015)
Wickedly Funny!
This show is hilarious, with many stereotypical but crative and diverse characters this show never fails to entertain. A great cast, and story make this show amazing especially with the elements of blending horror and comedy, as well as the amazing twist ending. The show never fails to make me laugh and has possibly some of the best cast and characters ever. The main star here is Emma Roberts playing the ever so b*tchy Chanel Oberlin (Those who watched American Horror Story: Coven, will love Emma Roberts character, since it is very similar to her b*tchy but amazing Coven character). The queen of a Sorority and main goal to keep the place only for the rich and wealthy young girls of college. Although her plan fails when the dean (Played by the very first scream queen, Jamie Lee Curtis) plans to change sororities by letting anyone pledge. This makes things very interesting and complicated with Chanel and is an interesting take on a college story. When things couldn't get worse, there's also a killer on campus terrorizing the sorority based on its horrible past. This show is full of drama, laughter, and amazing plot twist. You won't believe who the killer is because everyone is a suspect, and the suspense last until the 13th and finale episode where the Red Devil (campus killer) is finally revealed. This show is a must watch. Also, Emma Roberts is amazing at playing a b*tch, just thought i'd add.
True Detective: The Western Book of the Dead (2015)
Season 1: Amazing, Season 2: A big let down.
I will start off positive by saying that season 1 of this show is absolutely amazing. A creative plot, crime, and very in depth characters. The show focuses on two detectives each with their own set of problems that each try to solve while also trying to solve a case, although their complete opposites the story creates them into a perfect partner duo that may not follow the rules, but gets the job done. The actors are amazing and do well portraying their characters. Season 1, is a must watch. Season 2 although is a disappointment that i don't recommend. Although the acting is great, the story loses its feel with many confusing plots that the audience will not understand, as well as many lose ends never tied up, remaining to be unknown. Throughout the season many characters are introduced that many won't even know or recognize. The show seems to dump more and more story lines on top of each other while not finishing the ones that are already introduced. The characters may be interesting, but not so much as the 1st season. Unlike season 1 the characters are not as explored so much, giving viewers many questions. 1 positive thing was episode 7. One episode before the finale, the show finally tries to answer some questions (but sadly not all) while also giving an interesting plot, some twists and a great ending. Although this episode was great it doesn't make up for the lost time and story in the other 7 episodes. I recommend you watch and only watch season 1, and skip season2.
American Crime (2015)
Disappointing
Season 1 was a mess, already we are forced to listen to multiple story lines, main plots and sub plots that are unnecessary. This season really disappointed me forcing me to quit half way through the season. Season 2, is better than season 1 with a better plot and story, but still fails in what it tries to do. Again the creator introduces us to multiple plots. In season 2, the crime takes place at a Private school, yet the story also features a public school, with many budget, bullying and racial issues. This sub plot doesn't relate to the main plot at all, there is no point to watch this or even see, it. This seems to be a commonly known problem of this show by critics and viewers. Although i am only half way through season 2, the story seems cut short. The guilty teen is already shown in episode 4 and then the week after, instead of the case progressing, it stops, and the whole 45 minutes later focuses on a weaker and more boring plot. This show is just sad, and un entertaining, i do not recommend watching, although it may have many current issues of today in its story, overall the show feels too overwhelming to watch and care.
American Crime Story: From the Ashes of Tragedy (2016)
Excellent!
This show is amazing, the best new TV shows of 2016 and one of the best True Crime Dramas around. Although the event may have taken place 21 years ago, it still seems relevant with current issues of race, police brutality, and discrimination this show excels in its writing. The cast is amazing, by far Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark) and Courtney B Vance (Johnie Cochran) are the best showing true emotion and really shining. This show is a definite must Watch that I 100% recommend. I will not be surprised when I see this show win awards. If you like shows like Fargo or Making a Murder you will definitely like this. American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson has received many great reviews from critics, and will continue to do so.
