Binge-Worthy and at times brilliant
I agree with the majority of positive reviews about the series. It strikes an excellent balance between lighthearted and emotional moments throughout.
What stood out to me was how the series skillfully avoided getting stuck on one particular path, and instead changed the premise several times. As a result, no subplot overstayed its welcome. I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers.
The last two episodes were slightly too chaotic and goofy compared to the earlier episodes. Some of the protagonists acted out of character, and their interactions were not as strong as they could have been. It felt like the writers had to move the overarching story forward, which was necessary to set up the series for another season.
Overall, the series was still highly enjoyable, and I would recommend it.
First Kill (2022)
Switch your earphones for earplugs.
You might find yourself wanting to mute this show and just read subtitles as this has probably the worst use of music I have ever witnessed in any series.
Booksmart (2019)
Not what I thought it would be
The actors where charming, the plot was mostly entertaining, even if the pacing could have been better, and there was some nice cinematography. I just felt like the movie lacked a considerable portion of humor to make it an all-around worthwile experience.
