Ben 10 (2016)
A huge downgrade
Ben 10 has been a series for a long time that has contributed a lot in many childhoods. Whether it was the original in 2005, the spin-offs in 2009, 2011, or 2013, it left some impact on its fans. These shows all gave something memorable and left companies giving out toys and merchandise. But recently, Cartoon Network decided to give this series a reboot and it follows the same route as "Teen Titans Go!" and "Powerpuff Girls (2016)". The animation is cute, bright, and it is more childish as ever. So childish, they might as well start another channel called "Cartoon Network Jr". Some problems with the animation is that nothing feels original or unique. It feels bland and boring. Even on the aliens, it feels lifeless. But perhaps the biggest sin of all is the voices. CN wisely reprises Tara Strong as Ben, but went with new actors for each new role, and it feels off and awful. Other Ben shows and animated movies kept the same actors and there were no problem, why change it? Anyway, the new voices for the characters are too generic and safe. There are no risks, no differences, just basic generic splooge. And the characters feel re-written. Defined characters that were established, now changed. Gwen is too nice and Grandpa Max is useless. Please pass on this show.
Teen Titans Go! (2013)
Cartoon Network and DC should be disappointed.
This show is the absolute worst. Just straight-up terrible. What we have hear is a re-boot of probably DC's great run of timeless shows, and it is turned to something so annoying, so dated, so loud, and destroys anything you liked from its predecessor. The original show ran from 2003-2006 and it was a great show that blended Japanese anime with western animation that looked beautiful, had great action, and was overall a memorable show. It's reboot is a disaster. For one, the animation is bright, neon colors. Its story is migraine inducing, and it's just unwatchable. The worst of all is that they kept the same voice actors. Yes, the exact same people. That has to be the biggest middle finger Cartoon Network has had to give to its audience. Even if you were to consider its own show, it is still terrible. The show is really, really, really annoying. You will need aspirin just mentioning the show's name. This was probably the idea for the Powerpuff Girls re-boot and the animation is similar, and it does give the same headaches. If you have not watched the show, consider yourself lucky.
The Powerpuff Girls (2016)
Dated, Weak, Contradictory, and Forgettable.
Cartoon Network decided to reboot a series that many young adults watch as children, and turned something timeless to something dated. The 1998 Powerpuff Girls had a mix of cute girl stuff while having some scary, serious action. The show had a bi-polar mesh that made it really good to watch. At one moment it would be a G rated Disney movie, and at the next, PG-13/R violence. But the re-boot is a down-right failure. For one, they desperately try appeal to the kids and it is not subtle in any way. Forcing memes in every episode, dated references (like twerking). and other countless things you'd slap your head at. The animation is more "cute-like" than the one in '98, and there are noticeable errors you'd catch easily. Lastly, they get rid of a character people liked for being to sexual, yet they have Bubbles and Blossom TWERKING. Overall, cannot wait for it to be off the air and stick with the 1998 version.
