This is a GREAT movie
31 October 2005
I love this movie because from start to finish you can feel the sexual tension between Bogart and Bacall and they were really enjoying the kisses. As a funny moment I loved it when Madam De Brusac told Steve that he was not to touch her husband. Steve rolls up his sleeve and is prepared to leave when Frenchy tells him "She doesn't know what she's saying, she's not herself" then Steve asks "who is she?" As a bit of continuity there is a blooper, when Steve hits Renard with the gun, he hits him backhanded on the RIGHT side. However, when you see Renard talking on the phone, he has a big gash on the LEFT side of his face. Go figure!!! I loved everyone in the movie and Hoagy Carmichael was a welcome addition. I've often heard that Lauren Bacall is not doing her own singing in this movie. I believe she is singing and I like the songs she sings.

A Great Mystery
29 August 2005
This movie set in London has some great actors including Alan Mowbray whom I had first seen in Abbott and Costello Meets The Killer Boris Karloff and I love the way he plays very posh characters. In this outing, Charlie had already brought a criminal to justice when he is asked to take on the murder case of Paul Grey by Paul's sister Pamela. One of my favorite characters was Bunny Fothergill. Charlie reenacts the crime with the help of E.E. Clive and Ray Milland and there was tense moments because Charlie had to find the real murderer within 65 hours or if not, Paul Grey would be executed. The solving of the murder by a person whom you would least expect added more mystery plus some persons that were at the country estate were not whom they say they were. This is definitely a must see!!!!

Great Mystery
29 August 2005
This was a great movie with mystery and little comedy sprinkled in!!! Slim Summerville was great as Tombxtone and if you are a real movie buff you will know that the end theme was the same music that was used for the Crackly Grain Flakes song from Rebecca of Sunnybrook farms in which Mr Summerville and Phyllis Brooks both starred with Shirley Temple. Whan Charlie saw Jimmy in the police line up, his facial expressions were like he was seeing a mirage but it was a great second and third take that only Sidney Toler could deliver. I would definitely add this to any Charlie Chan collection or just if you like old movies period!!!

Mo'Nique's Fat Chance (2005–2007)

Finally!!! The voluptuous vixens have arrived!!!!
15 August 2005
This pageant was the first and best I have ever seen!!! I am so glad that Mo'Nique took it upon herself to sponsor this for full figured women. She deserves more than 10 stars but this is all I could give at the moment!!! I hope that she does this again next year. For years, people have thought that being overweight was gross and ugly, but now that overweight people are as one contestant put it, the majority, it is time for thin America to accept this, Mo'Nique let it be known that full figured women do not walk around in flowered muu muus every day with a diet soda in one hand and a bucket of chicken in the other. We lead normal lives and do normal things that slender women do.
