No Safe Spaces (2019)
Not funny. Not worth $20 to stream.
I wanted to love this, but it's incredibly preachy and not funny at all. Adam Corolla is amazing, but his jokes didn't hold up at all. Words words words.
Sandy Wexler (2017)
The best film of Sandler's career and the best drama of 2021
Sandy Wexler is the combined neurotic stereotype of all of Sandler's 90s toilet humor film's Jewish characters but somehow Sandler turns him into a real flesh and blood human like Geppetto's Pinnicchio.
I would bet that the majority people calling for Sandler's cancellation never saw anything of the film aside a 4 second scene in which Pauly short sits at table with 6 women.
His film does not accept racist stereotypes ... except for Rob Schneider's character who sucks in everything anyways.
Legion: Chapter 10 (2018)
Brilliant.
One of The most brilliant hours of tv I've ever seen. It's like Twin Peaks without the confusion and alienation. And the music is the best soundtrack ever.
Castle Rock: Restore Hope (2019)
Great series, horrible war scenes
I love this series so far. However, that was the worst combat scene I've ever seen.
1. Why is this house in Mogadishu and the street it's on nicer than anything I've ever seen? How does it have electricity?
2. Why did the soldiers arrest two unarmed kids? Why did they shoot the mom who wasn't pointing a weapon at them?
Still love the series but a private two weeks out of basic has more military sense than whoever wrote that scene.
Van Helsing: Began Again (2017)
Writing not holding up.
The first season had very few show stopping plot holes.
However the first episode of season 2 you will find yourself repeating:
Just kill him.
Just kill her.
Just bite her ...
But it looks like they will draw out what could otherwise be simple plot points to make room for more episodes ...
Ok. Episode 2-4 so far is awesome. I realize this show will suck eventually, but for now it's fun again.
