Sailing up high in the sky song
17 April 2023
The visuals are appealing on the show, as well as the entire production. I love the opening song to this episode, I'm sailing up high in the sky won't you come be in my boat ride, but I can't find any information on where to hear the entire song or who is singing or wrote it. It's a good episode, as they all are, although I do miss Madison and wish she had been more involved in season 3. I'm glad everyone seems to have recovered. Someone has information on the song opening this episode just before she steps in it please let me know. Thank you. I saw that Joel Haines is involved in the music but checking his site could not find that particular song. It's an up-tempo, cheerful, fun song. Well, 600 words seem to be a tall order for just wanting to post something relative to a fun song on a fun show that I would like to find, but hopefully among the extraneous wording my appeal will be heard and somebody in the know can help out. Please know how much I appreciate any effort to help me discover how to listen to this entire song.

Louise probably is Maggie
27 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
When Louise took a photograph of herself out of the wallet the lady in that photo looked to me just like the lady sitting on the bench next to Sigourney Weaver in the beginning of the movie. That seemed to bring it closer to the realm of possibility that she was her daughter, after all. Now that I have typed in what I have to say, I need to add more words in order to post, so here I will continue to speak, more or less, until enough words are in the review. Hopefully, people will enjoy this movie as it was meant to be enjoyed. Gosh, even more words are required to convey that the photographs seem to be a very important part of this film. It was a good way to relax for a while. Now I can go mow the lawn.

Big Little Lies (2017–2019)

Slice of life series appreciated by many
3 October 2017
We loved seeing Monterey, the Bixby Bridge, and the mood of the area captured in this 7 part series. Just the right number of episodes. Point Lobos is our favorite place to visit. The series kept a good pace and was all around well balanced. I was reminded of the house used in the film The Dying Gaul when I saw Renata's knock-out house. Could be a play on words - the knock-outs were mostly elsewhere. Numerous tense and uncomfortable moments but overall the character's perspectives on one another make for a worthwhile watch as things shake out and start aligning in productive ways. Zoe's character offers a very necessary, soothing presence.

We laughed all the way through it
13 June 2015
What a fun matinée this was! It made for a cheerful afternoon. We definitely found it worthwhile. There is obvious and subtle humor to appreciate, if you've a mind to. It was good to see it on the big screen. Sometimes there's a long dry spell between good movies to see and we made the right choice to go to this one. Thankfully there are folks doing the hard work that it takes to make funny movies like this. I didn't think too much about what to expect and was very pleased. It had a good mix of characters and the editing wasn't choppy. If you want to sit back, relax, and have a good time... this is one to see. I can't truly compare this to another movie but a favorite of mine is Dr. Strangelove.

Echoing AudioFileZ's excellent review
3 July 2013
AudioFileZ says it all. It's nice to read a perspective that solidifies our thoughts. We've enjoyed the series - in particular George's acting prowess, the old architecture and many guest stars. The second season became an anticipation of when Buz would get doused again, but we were never left in suspense. Silliphant got sillier as the series rolled along. An eagerness to get back on track kept us watching. We were rewarded with a few gems. Our fave episodes are: Fly Away Home 1 & 2 (a sprinkle of magic dust from both Michael Rennie & Dorothy Malone, who sings 'I Wish You Love'~ the charming bluebird in the spring song) Incident on a Bridge (Quasimodoish - a bittersweet spin of a phonograph) A Month of Sundays (Honey West, need we say more?) Good Night, Sweet Blues (for Ethel's smile & ending brass crescendo) A City of Wheels (the Vette rolls to the Vets') You Never Had It So Good (a step up in cinematography) Man Out of Time (a slice of humanity) Shadows of an Afternoon (eyewitness overcomes a myopic mindset) Child of a Night (Sylvia Sidney steadfast in a daunting wind) Who in His Right Mind Needs a Nice Girl (hang in there 'lil tomato) Where There's a Will, There's a Way 2 (hilarious foreign language spoof ala Sid Caesar but otherwise great talents and a time for doing something special with them passes us by)

In the end, Linc's pause and amble away from the Corvette is a bit mysterious. It left us wondering what road his next ride would be on.
