Midnight, Texas (2017)
Awesome show bring it back again
I rarely write but always put my ratings up on shows and movies I love.
Have been hooked on Midnight Texas from day one and now in Series 2 when it has just gone up a few levels more of awesome I hear the network canned it and todays episode is the last. I hope someone brings it back, surely was meant to be more than 9 episodes in series 2. Some new twists that can play out over future episodes are set, but fear they are being forced to wrap it up quick.
This show gives you all you can want with dark supernatural action and is starting to get a bit more darker just when it has been axed.
I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. (2017)
Feelgood movie that draws you in.
I absolutely loved this film.
I never watched the Lord of the rings movies that made Elijah Wood famous. Maybe some clips here and there but that's it.
I have now seen a few movies with him since and the guy is awesome.
He plays the socially awkward guy so well in his films.
You look and see yeh I can see how a lot of people could hate this guy in the film but you just learn that's how he is and the guy has a great heart.
Is actually quite funny and a very loyal friend.
Was great to see Tony build a bond with Ruth the chemistry between them provided action drama and plenty of laughs.
This movie could happen to the average person. We all go through someone stealing our things from time, but was good they added normal people who have issues. Not everyone is happy bubbly people and was good to see a socially awkward pairing here, who look like a match made in heaven. The movie was must watch all throughout and never gave me a reason for a coffee or toilet break. I have now watched it 5 times in the past year since it came out. I enjoy it everytime. It is a go to movie for me when I need to warm my spirits a bit. As having MS life can suck sometimes. So thank god for movies like this and actors like Elijah Wood.
I may have to bite the bullet and watch the Lord of The Rings movies at last now. Also I have noticed Daniel Radcliffe from Harry Potter series plays some similar roles and dark roles very well. These 2 actors should not be boxed in to the series that put them on the map. They are great actors worth watching who build chemistry well with their co stars.Back to the movie it gave me all I wanted, created a story and a budding romance (whilst not getting to girly in that sense) it stayed cool. Then it also gave closure at the end. It did leave me wanting to see Tony and Ruth have another adventure. Maybe they have a kid and that kid gets bullied at school, I can see these two going on a vendetta to make things right.
For anyone looking for a movie well worth your time to make you smile and draw you in. This is it.
Shut In (2015)
One of my Favorite Home invasion movies
I rarely if ever write a review but I watch an insane amount of movies as I have MS and am housebound.
This movie has inspired me to at last do a review or give my opinion.
I have watched many a "Home Invasion" movie.
This one was different ,which is always good it kept my interest from start to finish and had me hanging on to see what would happen next.
I was so into this movie I needed to go to toilet at one stage and forgot I could just pause it , so I held on till the end for about 45 more minutes.
That is how engrossed in the movie I was.
My 2 favorite Home Invasion style movies in recent years are "Hush" and "The Strangers"
I rate this movie up there with those 2.
Like Hush it has an added element to it.
The main star being agoraphobic was fun to watch and how the movie turned from her seeming to be scared for her life and a helpless pretty young woman, to at times a heartless in control maniacal crazy person.
I loved it.
I liked how they tied in the story about her brother, they could of mentioned more about her father early on before the brother died.
The movie had me yelling out to my brother saying you must watch this.
I watch basically only Horror/Thriller/Drama/Supernatural movies. So for me to give a 10 I must be moved by it and find self wanting to talk to people about it. This movie gave me that feeling.
I did kind of want to see Rory Culkin's character not leave at the end or leave with the Lead as he seemed to have a crush on her. It was a oh no moment when he popped up in the middle of the film. Like oh no you.
You go from feeling sorry for Charlotte to wondering how many people has she played these crazy games with.
She was good at portraying to the bad guys that she was helpless even so much that she could not bring self to call the police but then you see the tables turn. In the end I would of liked to have seen her struggle still to leave the house after setting the fire. Instead of walking out so fine. Like her illness was just released all of a sudden and she felt normal.
As with a lot of movies it finishes making you wonder what happened next. Did she walk off away free and start a life elsewhere, did the Police pick her up on the road somewhere or did she take the bad guys vehicle and drive off somewhere.
All in all I cannot recommend this enough. It never got boring and was fun to watch throughout.
A must see for all .
Hellevator (2015)
Please make more episode but in season 1 format.
This show is a breath of fresh air. Something new and a bit different for a game show. Can only dream that I would get on this show one day. I am not sure why season 2 was so short. I found the format in season 2 to be no where near as entertaining or scary as season 1. Season 2 appeared to easy as it kept repeating so we knew what the end of each show would be like. Season 1 I really loved. I had watched a special on H H Holmes possibly being Jack the Ripper and then they featured that as a theme. I enjoyed the different themes and think they should go further with that. Making it more real would look good to , or make the props look less fake than they do would be a good idea. I ended up finding it on Netflix and Binge watched the whole 2 series over the weekend and I demand more. Bring it fast, furious, more chilling and thrilling. I loved this show. The twins are great I love their sense of morbid humour. I would love them to sabotage the contestants more. Make it less predictable . Also noticed is hard to find male contestants that are not gay or in their teens that will actually show some fear during the show. The reactions from people were so much fun to watch, Maybe need to find a way to actually make people fear for their own safety or life. Let them get bitten by a snake or something like that. Just maybe take the fangs out or something like that, not that they will know but will be great to see them scream. Even bigger guys might scream at something like that. In all , I loved the series and want many more episodes.
