Satanic (2016)
It "might" be a bad thing for a horror film that I almost puked from laughging so hard in the middle of the movie
Where even to beging with this dumbster fire? The story is so tame, that I imagine it could only scare Rod & Todd from The Simpsons. Acting is atrocious (and the fact lead actress in an actress, previous known from her appearince in a comedy tv-show as the dumb teen). The story is mixed bunch of clichés and pieces from other more successful movies. The only possitive I can give it that as much I noticed the audio mixing was fine and the camera stayed in focus most of the time. Unless you can enjoy garbage movies, stay far away from this "horror" movie.
Pay the Ghost (2015)
So bad, but so funny
Basically a typical mindnumbing paranormal "horror" movie which offers nothing new to the table. There are bunch of elements which seem to be just copied from other movies (Sinister, Insidious, Mama to name a few). Still, in the end it's pretty damn humorous for few factors.
Nicolas Cage doesn't quite go Wicker Man on this one, but there are few moments where the classic Cageness comes through. If you happen to be familiar with the game director David Cage and despite his typical storytelling, this movie becomes that way so freaking funny since it hits so many same notes as his works it starts to feel like he himself directed it.
Courageous (2011)
Actually awful
Shallow storyline in the most cookiecutter way as possible, bad acting, the most bland and basic camerawork and editing possible, and the cherry on top the very one dimensional and propaganda-like message.
I was waiting the whole movie to have at least one twist or interesting moment, at least something that doesn't have me bored to tears, but no,after the required plot-device happens it's just prasing the almightu God afterwards. There are no any characther studies what so ever (most are even offensivelly stereotypical), no surprising or unexpected events, nor anything actually worth watching. Not to mention the fact that the writter and director of the movie is also the main characther "shows the light" for rest of the characthers, talk about ridiculous ego. This is the kind of movies that are shown in religious class in poor schools with nothing better study matterial, and is praised just for not being the usual "violent media that corrupts the youth".
Was this actually ever meant to be taking seriously, was this actually the most straight faced satire there has ever been? Nah, I don't think so. Also, icing of the cake was making the all the criminals being black with few exceptions.
American Poltergeist (2015)
Quite possibly the worst piece of cinema I've seen.
I've seen porn-movies with better acting, editing, camera-work... hell, even better props than this movie has to offer. The story struggles to keep going onward and most of the movie feels more of a filler than most Naruto episodes. This isn't even "it's so bad it's funny" kind of movie, it's up and beyond with how awful this is. I imagine only a masochist or group of high teenagers could get even slightest enjoyment out of this, but even saying that feels like showing this movie too much positive light.
