At least its original
6 August 2021
What to watch? The new gi joe? How about f9? No I think we will settle for old.

This movie is unlike any movie I've ever seen, the acting is strange, the plot is strange, the camera work is nauseating at times. And some of the reveals are not done amazingly.

But at least its original, the plot makes sense, and when talking about it to my friends I found I always had the proper answer for peoples actions and decision making.

The best characters are midsized sidan and the crazy doctor and his wife.

The movie has many scenes of exposition that is not hid very well, but overall I think its a movie that begs being seen. I in no way regret watching it and in fact want to watch it again to solidify my opinion .

In a time with a lot of movies that you have already seen I guarantee that love it or hate it, you haven't seen anything like it.

You are legitimately talented and ur netflix standup is hilarious so I beg you dont sign a big contract with the awful show. You are better then a basic chuck lorre comedy.

Ok but utterly pointless
31 October 2020
The entire movie was basically devoted to explaining the reason why it exists, like not even kidding half this movie is just trying to explain to us why it needed to happen. So much so that there is almost no horror scenes, id say any thrilling or horror related moment is the movie can be bugged down to 15-20 minutes. This movie had its moments it had some heart but it is an utterly pointless movie that only gets worse then more i think about it. The first movie was a bit fun but this sequel just left some what of a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe check it out if you are a fan of the original but I just wasnt much for it.

Get Duked! (2019)

If you're gonna rip off someone rip off the best
2 October 2020
This movie is very derivative of Edgar Wright, and Taika Waititi, but it has a great sense of humour and fun group of characters. There were elements that annoyed me and huge conveniences but honestly some of them just added to the humour. I can't stress enough how great the humour in the movie is though there were some absolutely great laughs to be had and if you want a fun movie watching experience I totally recommend get duked.

This show is very hard to review
4 May 2020
I feel like that title is misleading not because it's not true but I think almost every show is hard to review. While this show doesn't really have filler is has weak moments and some moments of experimentation that some might not feel works. For every nuanced portrayal of a character there is, there is also an equally boring melodramatic side plot that feels ripped outta ten different movies. I think was this show does good it does great and I think it's fair to expect some teenage cheese even though I feel like it might be detrimental to aspects it helps bring up a core audience. This show was very hard to rate because sometimes it felt like I was watching river dale or some CW crap but sometimes it would show some of the best cinematography I have ever seen in television. There are many great plot lines and characters to keep you hooked and I knew by the first episode I would like it. The best way I can describe this show is an rollercoaster there are very high ups and usually equally low downs, but over all it is fun and entertaining, and unlike a rollercoaster it can be very touching and sad. I think rating this show below an eight would be discrediting all the work and good this shows does, but if you want the best high school drama money can buy with nuanced and likeable characters you should without a doubt watch this show. Ps did I mention the cinematography cause like my god it's just very good anyway watch this show.

Midsommar (2019)

An exercise in cinematic perfection
4 September 2019
Many people compare this to the 1978 film the wicker man but something many don't mention is how this film is in many ways better. The acting and cinematography is much better and the disturbing moments and scenes of grief or much more heavy hitting. These are movies with two different goals and similar concepts but what I would and will argue to my grave is that midsommar takes the best aspects of that movie and makes it into what in my opinion the best movie of the year. The movie takes its time and the buildup is excellent the ending while some feel may be a letdown to me was the most powerful scene in the movie and the symbolisms and story telling is fantastic. The acting in this movie is not just great its realistic, the couple feels real and there situation is depressing, I know people like Mark who just want to have fun, this movie is perfect because it has comedic relief but it never takes away from the tension, the scares and just the overall feeling thats something is not right and its only gonna get worse. I have seen the directors cut of this movie twice in theatres and the second time was even better then the first time, the movie feels much smoother and fast pace but even on my first watch I knew I was watching something and someone who was truly great. I have no doubts that movies like this and movies like hereditary will go down as modern classics in the genre and Ari Aster is a name to look out for.

Who is the film made for
2 September 2019
The answer to the question brought up in the headline should be for fans of the original books that should be at least older then 16, then how come this movie is legitimately a disney channel orginal with very effective practical makeup, monsters and scares. The reason I did not give this movie a lower score is every scene with the stories in particular I found to be tense and sometimes grotesque in a very good way. The visuals and presentation of these scenes are stunning which makes me wonder why could they not have had a good story be the backing for the scares. The story is cut and dry lets go to a haunted house ooo here let me take this book and then oh no they come to life. The acting was passable for some characters but others are down right laughable (mainly the Tommy and Ruth) and the lead girl while pretty good in most scenes isn't the greatest at portraying emotion which is not good for the fact that she has a whole side plot that not her dad but her mother abandoned her as a child and she blames herself for this, now this is something we have seen a million times but I would not be harping on it if it weren't for the fact that it was totally useless in forwarding the plot and the scenes where it is used is I guess made for you to feel for the character but thats about it. Anyway I could not in good faith call this movie a trainwreck of any sorts and to be fair making unrelated short stories into a comparable film is not an easy task, this is a movie that when it wants to be can be very tense and very faithful to the book series, but I feel it would be much better suited for an anthology of shorts.

Scarily awful
9 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie got under my skin the acting is bone chilling and it's just awful. The tone is non exist the movie is about as subtle as a flashing neon sign with techno music. I really don't see why there are any good reviews. One compliment I can give the movie is it's incredulous sound designs and sound effects from fart sound affect # 2 and the will-helm scream. The way the portray a real life tragedy is down right embarrassing they show the father beating his son almost to death and the almost kill his daughter and then his son tries to kill him and he just becomes nice to his son. They also tangle up some stupid missing money plot like anyone's supposed to care about that in a amittyville movie and just so many scenes are awful. Like the great scene when the girl plays madlibs and predicts the future which is a very nice touch but I do believe u owe Hitchcock for that little filmmaking trick. This movie was bad like worse then I was expecting bad and the worse part is definitely the end of the movie. The only creepy part of the case is how everyone was fast asleep and no one woke up when all the shootings happened sure it's unsuspensful but it's creepy and a movie that was more subtle and didn't straight up show the murderer have like demons and shadow people follow him around could have capitalized on this. Well instead in this version two people were awake and one person even walked all the way home. The dad gets whipped and dies in his bed face down and the girl runs away and then decides to hide face down in bed and gets shot. This movie is actually a joke I feel like this was a rough copy of the movie but the teacher wanted it in by the next day so he put a bunch of the soundeffects and visual effects in post. This movie is bad don't see it

Solid teen movie
29 July 2018
This movie was a pretty darn funny movie. The characters did seem pretty realistic and the acting was all good, I thought the things it said about human nature were intesting and I enjoyed it a lot. I feel that having the characters be flawed even the ones your supposed to like was an very cool choice making it feel more like real life. The movie was very heavily stylized and sometimes it looked really nice other times it was a little distracting. The movie all around was an unexpected gem and knowing nothing about the movie going in I came out with a positive feeling on the movie. 7/10

Pretty well made documentary
29 July 2018
While I felt the documentary was very strong for like the first hour I felt the ending really didn't pack any punch. No I can't really fault the filmmakers because it's a true story but I just wished there was a little more to it. Other then that I thought it was a great documentary packed with twists.

How come Shaquille didn't get a Oscar nod?
3 December 2016
This movie is a thing of true beauty coming off the Oscar winning movie Where Shaq dresses like a genie this movie only gets better the acting is amazing the plot great and the writing shocking with many twists. Don't listen to any other review unless good because this is a modern masterpiece. The greatness of this movie is insane critics bashed it because they were jelly because they will never be as good as Shaquille omg if only this movie had 5 million sequels then I would be able to die happy. This movie was as good as Shaquille free throw ability and that shows how good it is. This movie is better then Kobes whole career and will make you choke on your drink from laughing like the gsw choked and lost a 3-1 lead it's just truly great roger ebert was probably smoking wacky tabacky when he said it was a bad movie
