Murder in Mahim (2024)
Gripping and Impactful ! An eye opener on LGBTQ rights !
"Murder in Mahim," based on Jerry Pinto's novel, shines a spotlight on the crucial issue of LGBTQ rights in Mumbai's heart, Mahim. The series masterfully captures the harsh realities of cruelty and discrimination faced by the LGBTQ community, drawing attention to the struggles they endure.
The portrayal of corrupt police officers exploiting LGBTQ individuals adds a gripping layer to the narrative, highlighting systemic injustices. Vijay Raaz and Ashutosh Rana deliver impeccable performances, enhancing the series' emotional depth. The supporting cast, including other policemen and civilians, also excel in their roles.
ACP Praduban's character is portrayed with finesse, adding an element of intrigue and intensity to the story. "Murder in Mahim" has the potential to sensitize a wide audience to the pressing issues surrounding LGBTQ rights, making it a must-watch for its impactful storytelling and stellar performances.
The Trial (2023)
"Semi Intriguing Blend of Drama and Law: "The Trial" Review"
"The Trail" is a web series that draws inspiration from the Good wife but has nuances of popular legal dramas like "Boston Legal" and "Suits." While it leans more towards being a drama than a strictly legal series, the performances of Kajol and Aly Khan shine brightly. The storyline revolves around a cheating scandal involving a lawyer, blending elements of family drama into the narrative.
On a rating scale, I would give it a 6. The plot centers around the acceptance of cheating in a semi-modern society like India, juxtaposed with deep-rooted traditions-an intriguing irony. Some episodes offer engaging storylines, but it's hard to ignore the strong resemblance to "Suits" and "Boston Legal." Unfortunately, the acting of the junior lawyer is subpar and can be quite annoying.
One notable oddity is how the kids hide the crucial piece of evidence, adding a layer of suspense. While the direction is commendable, the script could have been better structured, and the series could have explored more innovative approaches. Despite its flaws, "The Legal Code" manages to deliver moments of intrigue and keeps viewers entertained throughout. Average one time watch !
Chakravyuh: An Inspector Virkar Crime Thriller (2021)
GREAT STORY BUT AVERAGE ACTING - one time watch
The story is a typical James hardly chase kind of story so I like the plot.
It has also been indianised. I wish the acting and graphics were a bit better.
Pros
Good story
Good looking cast
Plus an interesting twist
Cons
Bad acting specially by Prateik babbar.
Bad animation (common India we need to up our game on crime graphics and hackers )
Bad comedy 🤣
Overall I would still watch it since it is a thriller.
Funny thing
How does Virkar sleep on the small ship and have six packs while drinking alcohol. He pretends and it's so obvious. But overall a good one time watch
Jeet Ki Zid (2021)
SUSHANT SINGH AND AMIT SADH ALL THE WAY
This show shows two things
One never give up
How a coach can help you never give up
It shows many life lessons and is inspirational at many levels. Love the show .
Just gave it seven cos in the Ted talk of last episode he gives all the credit to his wife and forgets the coach who actually made him walk. Why I do not know but found it very stupid.
Hasmukh (2020)
VIR DAS has hit his all time low
Lame jokes and lame plot !
The worst show on an online platform.
Don't watch this show if you like VIR DAS because after this show I doubt you will ever see him again.
Code M (2020)
Annoying Jennifer Winget
Annoying show with annoying characters !
I wish they would have shown a more realistic setting apart from the uniforms !
