Cant believe still watching this stupid show..Keep hope its getting better, but its not. Too much padding and filler and the writing of most of the characters are ridiculous. The worse one is D'Arcy. Strange character.. Sometimes happy, the sad, then nothing She is supposed to work at the bar but she just drinks and talks to people. Does she make a living? No money or credit cards are used in any of the bar scenes. Are all drinks free?? The Sheriff and Deputy are also badly written. Don't they have time and days off?

Arsy sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The Mayor and his wife are idiots and the actor playing the mayor looks like a kid. Bad casting. In one episode, Arsy father tells everyone in the cafe to clear out. No one pays the tab??? So many inconsistencies that are so apparent. I know its a cartoon, but too stupid.

The writers should have gotten together to make more sense out of the episodes and do a better job of developing the characters and making them less cartoonish.

Resident Alien: Cat and Mouse (2022) Season 2, Episode 14

Dumb

This show is becoming dumber and dumber. Too much filler and strange characters..I know it's a cartoon, but still pretty bad..Nothing makes sense. The actor playing the Mayor is bad and he looks like a teenager, much too young to be a Mayor. His relationship with his wife is dreadful. The wife is supposed to be a teacher? She never works. When ever there is a scene at the bar, no body ever pays. No money is ever exchanged!!! The two little kids are getting to be very annoying. In one episode they are at home with the baby sitter, and all of a sudden there at the house of Harrys in the middle of nowhere!!!! How did they get there???? So many inconsistencies. The two leading characters are friendly one minute and fighting the next, then friends again, then fight..Atra is supposed to work at the clinic but she's almost never there The actress Linda Hamilton is completely wasted. Have given up !!

Maestro (2023)

Up in smoke

Oh my, where to begin This is film is all smoke and no fire. Surly the cigarette companies contributed to this disaster.

The filming is so disjointed, Wanted to be artsy but instead became very boring. The film starts off in full screen color...the small screen black and white, then small screen color, the full screen color!! What?

Very strange filming. Too bad, because the story line and Bernsteins life could be interesting. But it's way to bogged down and the editing is atrocious.

Only Cooper and Mulligan have much to do. The other characters are not very well realized. More should have been done with WEST SIDE STORY but nary a word about it except an expert from the prologue.

Too bad this film and editing is such a mess. Maybe in better hands it might have worked. Then one produces, directs and acts there's bound to be problems. And there certainly is here.

Cooper does an ok job, but is a little over the top. Mulligan fairs better. The worse part of the movie, however, is the constant smoking!!!! Surprised these people didn't die of lung cancer!

The Night Agent: The Marionette (2023) Season 1, Episode 5

Too dark

Why is every scene that takes place indoors always so dark? Doesn't make sense. Since most of the cast is dark skinned it makes it even worse. Why must everything be so dark all the time. Surprised people aren't bumping into walls and falling down.

Also, to bad the acting is below par. Couldn't the producers find better actors? Another confusing factor is at one point someone says "You;d better sit down to hear this". Then the scene ends. What was it she said to have them sit down. Seems like padding the plot. This could have been a fairly good two hour movie, but this is so drawn out its ridiculous. And what's with the two hit people. The man and woman. They are so stupid and vapid.

The Night Agent (2023– )

pretty bad

This is a pretty bad show. Incredibly stupid and very boring. The acting is worse. With so many talented actors out there how did these two leading characters get cast??? The support is almost as bad. The Hotel scene is so asinine. No one around the lobby or hallways, dining room or kitchen. The two are being chased through and no one around. Then they crash thru a glass structure and nary a cut, bruise of blemish. They just walk away. Who wrote this mess should quite the business. Only watched a few episodes that were a few to many. And why oh why can't casting directors come up with better talent. Absolutely astoundingly bad acting. Where's Sandra Bullock when you need her?

The White Lotus: Arrivederci (2022) Season 2, Episode 7

Sloppy

Very sloppy writing . This season should be called The Users. Every one is used to an extent. The characters were downright deplorable except the grandson. Such horrid people. Why wrote them this way??? The worse characters were the obnoxious hookers. They were given much to much screen time. Someone should have strangled those two loathsome characters. The Portia character was almost as bad. What a stupid girl!!!. The two married couples were boring and very tiresome. Even Tanya seemed too deranged and "out of it'. Again, sloppy writing. The Hotel manager was an interesting character, but like he manager in season one, quite mixed up. I truly think this series has seen its day. Very worst part was how Mr White handled Tanyas demise. Very, very stupid A very disappointing season.

The White Lotus: Departures (2021) Season 1, Episode 6

Bad ending

While the show was good, it could have been great if it weren't for the horrible ending!!! No way could this mess have been solved. How is it the Shane character gets off so easily? Justifiable as it was, it would have taken several days to sift through. And the body wouldn't have been taken away so quickly. No sens1111e whatsoever.

The worse thing is when the teenage son refuses to go home with his parents. He just runs out of the airport. No luggage, no money. How is he expected to survive. The parents don't go back for him?? Very stupid and inane Very bad writing!! And the suitcase scene was disgusting.

Also, the two teenage girls were written as nutty as a fruitcake. Wanted to strangle them both.

Too bad this was such a bad finale as some of the earlier episodes were very good.. Poor Tanya character was as dopey as could be, but we'll played by Coolidge. Nuff said!!1.

Giant (1956)

Epic it is

A slow moving but interesting film based on an epic book. Good direction and some good acting make this movie work. While show moving at times, the film lets you really know these characters well.

The vast exteriors are well done, but you can tell the studio scenes as in the main house and the swimming pool scene. Would have been better to have real locations and interiors through out the film. The supporting characters have little to do or contribute the the film.

Taylor and Hudson do well as can be expected for their young age when playing older. Racism is a big point in the narrative.

What surprised me was the casting of Sal Mineo who has about three lines and one scene!! Now for James Dean. Was he really a good actor? Since in his three films he basically played the same role. Broody, morose and blah!!. Too bad he was only cast in the SAME ROLE in his three films. Really and over rated actor.

Glass Onion (2022)

Oh so bad

What were they thinking when the script was ok'd to film?

Terrible story, worse acting, especially Daniel Craig !! Edward Norton not far behind.

Nothing in this mess makes sense. One of the characters was killed before the movie starts and two people knew about it. It's the sister or one or the characters who pretends she's the one who got killed.

Why would she come to the Island when she knows she's supposed to have been killed. Complicated I know, but it shows how ridiculous the script is.

The only redeeming aspect of this mess is the scenery and filming of some of the interiors. A lot of money gone to waste!! For shame.

The Great British Baking Show (2010– )

good

Good fun. Fascinating that amateur bakers could be so good. They must not only bake but be engineers as well, especially for the last recipes. Almost impossible to believe these so called amateurs could master the most difficult of all assignments.

The only thing spoiling the show are to two nutty male hosts. They should both be banned from the show and show business itself. What happened to the two gals who hosted the first episodes. They were a delight and not at all outrageous like the current hosts.

Wish Paul Hollywood would smile once in a while. He always looks like he's in some sort of pain. Prue is fine.

Elvis (2022)

Not good

Not good, but not terrible. Scenes seem unconnected and the editing is totally distracting. Bak has his style and it doesn't work. Much to kinetic and hard to follow. Elvis made 31 films, yet only a sentence is said about them. I remember his films more than his music, but again, nothing is said or mentioned of them. Like he never made films. Very serious elimination.

Also nothing said about the Parker not wanting any female to out shine Elvis as Ann Margret dd in Viva Las Vegas. Also, nothing about his love life with her as well as others. Too bad. Could have been much better film if more details were included about his private life and films. Bak missed the boat. On the plus side is the amazing performances of the two stars. Too bad they had to battle a terrible script.

Bullet Train (2022)

Fun?

This is supposed to be a fun movie, or perhaps a cartoon or satire. Dunno. What I do no is that it is outrageous and complexly unexplainable.

Stupid characters in a stupid movie. And the violence is horrible. No need for all that blood and horrid goings on. So surprised that Brad Pitt would consent to star in this disaster. Nothing, I mean NOTHING makes sense. What kind of a train doesn't have a staff or a bartender in the lounge. Hardly any passengers. Ill conceived and terribly unrealistic. What could have been a fun movie, just fizzles. The Channing Tatum bit is stupid and Ms. Bullock should be ashamed of herself. Forget this disaster!!

Wait Until Dark (1967)

A real thriller

Good acting by all in this creepy thriller of a movie. Aubrey is exceptionally good. Interesting story line. Sort of a Hitchcock thriller. Even though 90% of the movie takes place in the same set, it never gets in the way. One note.

Since the Hepburn character is blind, why would the Alan Arkin character have to disguise himself so many times. And since this is New York, why no traffic or cars on the street. Also no neighbors or other people around. Just asking. No matter, it's really a good movie and should be on everyones "to see" list.

Moree films of this ilk should be made today instead of the junk thats out now with nothing but special effects and Marvel movies. WAIT UNTIL DARK is a real movie.

Ted Lasso: Beard After Hours (2021) Season 2, Episode 9

Horrendous

Terrible. Terrible episode. Made no sense unless it was all a nightmare which I think it was. No way could have all those incidents happen in one night!!

He goes into a nightclub and sees his wife there???? Outside the club is completely empty of cars, yet inside there are dozens of people. Where did they park?? Just one of many complaints, unless, again, it was all a nightmare!! Fire the writers or whoever green lighted this one!!! And why even film it?? Tales away from what the show is all about. If any more like this will give up watching. Jason, beware. He must have given the ok since he's one of the producers..

Licorice Pizza (2021)

What a horrible mess of a movie. No plot, terrible lead actors who are so unattractive it's pitiful. Writing is non existent. Who gave a green light to this production?? To be blunt, I couldn't see the whole thing. Gave up after an hour or so.

Forget this one. One of the worse action type movies ever. Makes no sense. Simply horrific. Don't waste your time on this one. Big budget, small return. Feel sorry for these actors as they have nothing to do except fight and get involved with so called special effects which aren't even interesting. What a shame.

Could have been better

The best thing about this show is Ms. Smart. Otherwise not a good show. Too many unlikable characters, and the drug use is off putting to say the least. Too bad the writing and story line isn't better. Poor Ms. Smart being stuck in this kind of a show. Hannah Einbinder is truly awful. Yikes!!!!

The Lincoln Lawyer (2022– )

not good

Could have been better with actors who can act. Poor casting especially the black guy playing Gibbs. Horrible voice and worse acting. I realize you must cast a certain amount of african americans, but be sure they can actually ACT.. The Cisco guy is also pretty lame as is the lead. Too bad!! Also too many side plots going on. Very confusing. Forget this one.

Dexter: New Blood: The Family Business (2022) Season 1, Episode 9

dumb, dumb and dumber

Omg. This episode is the worse yet. Dexter gets shot in the leg, blood all over,bullet goes through his pants and limping. Next scene he's perfectly fine. A miracle. No blood, pants are in tact, no limp, no sigh of gunshot. He didn't even go to emergency care. A miracle. Another crazy scene is when he discovers Kurts underground cavern. How can one man build this thing underground yet, with electricity without anyone knowing about it. Must have taken months to build. Insane. At the end when Dexter sees house burned to the ground, he shrugs, is invited to thee sheriff place and the first thing he says something about making breakfast. His house is ruined, no clothes he's lost everything and he smiles and talks about breakfast?

The only thing that would make sense is if he woke up and it was all a dream. But if is supposed to be reality, then this is plain stupid as stupid can be. Oh, how I would love talk to the writers and cast members. Don't they realize how incredibly unrealistic all this is????

A bummer

Do the writers actually read what they write??? Stupid is a good word for this episode. The chase through the woods in the snow yet with a bad wound and he beats the other guy to the cabin. And the cabin is so convenient. Talk about bad writing and plotting. Nothing works in the episode. Kurts character makes no sense, and Harrison is as dumb as dumb can be. Potholes galore. Just plain stupid and a real bummer.

Dexter: New Blood: Runaway (2021) Season 1, Episode 5

Improbable

No way could all this happen. Dexter had the drug maker all tied up and ready to kill. He hears the police right outside and in a matter of seconds, cleans up the room, dresses the druggy and moves him to another room and forces him to overdose, and hide. No way Jose! All that would have taken a good half hour, not seconds!!! Let's get real here!

Shining Girls (2022)

Bizarre

This strange show is so bizarre. Came to the conclusion that it was all a dream. What other explanation can there be??? Good acting and production values do not make a good show. Moss is fine, but stop with the ticks and facial movements.

Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022)

Very good

A bit sappy, but a very good movie. Great sets and costumes and interesting plot turns. Good to see same cast members and interesting how they all aged. Even the young ones looked older. But doesn't everyone??

Liked the dynamics of Lady Ann and the director, expertly played by Hugh Dancy and Michelle Dockery. And best of all is Maggie Smith. No one can hold a candle to her expert delivery of her dialogue. Long may she reign.

Could there be another Abby on its way? Would be interesting..

West Side Story (2021)

Better than expected

Good remake. In some ways better than the original. The Tony and Maria had more to do and their relationship more real albeit a tad too soon. Less than 24 hours and they are in love!!! The Anita character wasn't as strong as the original and her acting didn't deserve an academy award. The drugstore near rape scene was more authentic in the original. So glad the dances were not edited like most of the musicals made today. You can actually see the complete steps without the constant fast paced editing like IN THE HEIGHTS for instance. The dance numbers in that were a disaster.

If one liked the original, they will certainly like this wonderful remake.

Grace and Frankie: The Prediction (2022) Season 7, Episode 9

Lame

What was once a kind of interesting and charming show has deteriorated badly. Who is responsible for this dismal season. Should have ended long before this. Frankie is quite annoying and too quirky. The two daughters are even worse. Poor acting all around. The lawyer guy its the worse.

And what happened to Mallorys kidd?? And the lawyers baby. Never seen in any of the episodes like they never existed. Really sloppy writing. And the two gay guys are not to be believed as the seasons wore on. Good thing this is ending!!!!
