Almost Blue (2000)
Straight
A straight thriller with everything it needs. Just like other great directors, Alex Infascelli has taken good ideas and inspirations from other movies and brought them here together. And so this film has one great moment after another just a wonderful mixture of awesome film citations becoming a particular thriller. The performance of the director and the director of photography is great. You do not see every day that kind of style, that kind of camera angles, you're just feeling like an observer. I do not understand why other directors do not have that courage to try new looks like that. In the end, I think so, we watch movies from young directors to see new things, not that kind of camera and performance that you have seen lots of times before.
Il siero della vanità (2003)
The best stuff since long time.
Maybe others missed a more logic story, but well this is not literature! Here we have passionate movie from passionate filmmakers. They know what's the reason why their audience watches their movies: We want hard stuff! Deaths and fears! The joy here is to see the fall of TV-Stars. That is real justice! A not even average script has been filmed and directed to a fresh, young and powerful punch in your face! Love this movie or hate it -but well: We will definitely see these filmmakers again, no doubt on that. Lots of suspense and violence filmed in great pictures. Just take some more looks at the story, and we will be testimonials of great horror and thriller stuff!
Il mistero di Lovecraft - Road to L. (2005)
Lovecraft's not dead!
Who said Lovecraft is dead? Everyone who understands a bit the fascination about Lovecraft and his literature MUST see this film. It is just like his spirit lives in it. I did not know that Lovecraft had made vacations, this was fascinating. And still do not know if I can trust the end, but it doesn't matter. Thank to these guys who shot this documentary. I don't know if anyone before had used Lovecraft as it's main subject in a film. Just like in his books you Find yourself after a while being part of an endless nightmare that at some point began and would maybe never end. I just saw on a festival, hopefully it will be shown in regular cinema.
