Pandering to a very specific demographic
30 July 2021
This has been very hard to watch as I am a huge fan of AHS. It does seem to answer a very important question though: what would AHS be like if it hung out with Logan Paul for a year and was produced by a 12 year old YouTube personality?

One time I had Hydrox, which is like off brand Oreo cookies. They were gross. After that, Oreos have never tasted better and I'll never stray again. 'Stories' reminds me of that dark time in my life.

Actually pretty good.

I checked this movie out after watching a trailer online and I gotta say, it delivered. It was a nice little surprise for this major horror fan. It didn't rely on the "jump scare" which so many horror movies depend on lately, although it had a few. It created a very creepy atmosphere that stayed til the very end. Given, this movie could've supported better acting (I'm looking at you, Renee) and directing but if you're looking to be entertained and a little creeped out for 90 minutes then check it out. It runs in the tradition of movies like "The Reaping" and "Orphan" where the child in the movie makes you feel a little uneasy the entire time. Defiitely one of the better straight to DVD movies in awhile. If you are a horror fan then this movie should put an evil lil grin on your bloody face. However, if you stray more towards romcoms and drama then go rent Love Actually or some other random terrible movie.

Arguably the best horror film ever made.
31 October 2005
It almost hurts to say that because of the fact that it is a remake, but it's true. With so many horror films being remade we lose the flavor of the original but the essence of the original is still here in this flick. With so many people from the first film being involved with the remake it's easy to just label it as an "update".

I find the characters to have a lot more depth in the remake. The zombies have more of a vacant sadness and the setting is a lot creepier. This is one film out of only a handful that I find truly scary, even to this day. It definitely stands the test of time and is bound to be just as much of a cult classic film as the original.

Not taking anything away from the original which is definitely a masterpiece. George Romero has gone above and beyond any other horror director in cinema history and Tom Savini is a welcome addition to the zombie tradition (now if he would just get back in the director's seat).

If you're looking for a fun, scary, thrill ride of a movie, look no further. Tony Todd and Patricia Tallman give the most memorable performances of their respective careers and Romero and Savini come through like a horrorcane and deliver the greatest horror film ever conceived.

With today being Halloween, this is my pick for a great creepy movie to watch on this Day of the Dead 2005.
