Futurama: Bender's Game (2008)
Great movie
Compared to the other Futurama movies, I believe this one is one of the best. On a personal note, I might find the Futurama: Bender's big score better than Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs, but it is still a close match.
This movie however, have a great deal of parody from other movies and they are implemented quite well. When it comes to the fantasy world (Bender's game), the characters there (mostly parody of Lord of the Rings) are very good impersonated, with a lot of twist of course. An example would be Zoidberg. And if your a Zoidberg fan, I believe they made him funnier on this movie compared to the other movies.
The conclusion is that this is a funny movie worth watching, and if your already a Futurama fan, either this movie was great or not, you would still enjoy watching it.
The Simpsons Movie (2007)
Something in between
First I must make it clear that I'm a huge Simpsons and Futurama fan.
When it comes to the Simpsons episodes, I will make it clear that they are the product of genius's.
So, it was logical that I believed Simpsons the movie would be just as great, but I was wrong. The idea with the episodes is that they are only around 22 minutes long. During that time, you probably laugh several times, seen some kind of parody, and found out that the beginning plot had actually nothing to do with the ending. GOD I just love Simpsons. Therefor, you see that most stuff happening in this movie, have something to do with the plot. I will admit that this movie had some fun stuff in it, but compared to the episodes where you laugh several times during 22 minutes, while this movie is 87 minutes, I believe you get more fun by watching 4 episodes instead.
The 13th Warrior (1999)
Amazed
When i had a look on the cover, I though this couldn't be that great of a movie. And apparently by speaking with friends, they told me it wasn't that great, however none of them have ever watched it. I had a hard time recognize the language used in the beginning, finding out it is Latin and Arab. When it comes to the Vikings, I as a Norwegian couldn't get a complete hand on what they spoke, but took a guess it might have been some kind of Danish. However when the Kings son spoke, I could confirm that Norwegian was spoken in this movie.
For me, I don't really know many "Big movies" containing Norwegian, so this was a nice surprise. To bad it didn't last the whole movie, but it still beats X-Files episode where they travel to Norway, but where they speak Danish.
The language was basically the biggest thrill for me, but still this movie manage to have a fair deal of action. A little setback for me was that I expected some "real" fighting, and not against some bear people. I give this movie 7.
