A Very Different Conjuring Movie
15 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
As James Wan passes the throne to Michael Chaves. This movie took a change of path. Trailer does look good but the full picture is not that great.

Not hating Michael Chaves, but the suspense isn't that great anymore. Maybe because there is no Lorraine Warren to consult with them, I am not sure but the suspense is not suspenseful anymore.

Also, based on what I watch and how I understand the movie; It's somewhat like Dean Koontz' The Vision and Darkfall combined. If you haven't read those two books I can't explain the whole story here. I'll just give the stuff that, what I think, is the same in this film and the two books.

The things that are the same are: First, there is Voodoo stuff that does look the same as the Bocor in the Darkfall, Baba Lavelle, which does curses and rituals the same like Isla in this movie.

Second, In this film Lorraine's clairvoyance works like how it works in The Visions' Mary Bergen's. They both almost got killed in the last part too; both Ed in this film and Max in The Vision got disabled by the Antagonist.

Anyway, this film still has a good plot if, maybe, I haven't watched films or read books that do feel the same like this film.

I'm thinking... hard
5 September 2020
Great film. Bad thing I haven't read the book yet.

It's like Mulholland Drive-- film that will make you think about what's happening. This kind of film is one of my favorite. You make a story in your mind what is happening then after some rewinds and/or rewatch you will figure it out.

Joker (I) (2019)

It's like the "Taxi Driver" film. MASTERPIECE!!!
19 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First off, what I mean by "it's like the "Taxi Driver"' is if you already saw or watched the film Taxi Driver starring Robert de Niro (which also has a role here), there are scenes that are copied or replicated ala Tarantino. Those are fun to see, also the two film are bit similar and also different. This is a Spoiler if you haven't watched the "Taxi Driver" so beware.

In the Taxi Driver, the entire story that occur before the ending made the audience think he is plotting to kill a Senator but it he changes his mind that ended on him going in a suicide mission to save Iris (a young teen prostitute that he happens to know) and he almost killed himself but he runs out of bullet and in this film "Joker" I am convinced that he will kill himself in front of the camera since the plot/story is pointing on him shooting himself in the interview after asking a joke well that didn't happen since he shot Robert de Niro after giving a good speech in live broadcast. These films are both the same that they manage to make me(us?) think the other way but they both ended in different path (Taxi Driver being the Hero and Joker being the anti-hero at the end).

Well, that was a good comparison I can think. But the film overall are so great, scenes where he evolves from being a sad clown into a Joker is so memorable. Walking sad into their building, and after knowing all the truth. Not afraid of dying but in return creating his own world now that he know he is real and people are noticing him (like a serial killer after his first kill). He dances and not walking slowly like he used to be. That was a great evolution in a single film. They really put a thorough visual on that thing. Just a great directing, story and dialogue and viola! a MASTERPIECE

First Quarter of the Story is Great-- don't expect too much
19 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, have watched it two times and the other Terminator Films. For the story, it got me hyped up-- the story is great. Technicalities are great too, Arnold talking about some quantum and about time traveling, explaining how it works. About the story, yup people are expecting something new-- which happened at the first quarter of the film... 'til New John revealed his new objective. That's when the rate keeps on going down. To me the story goes from good to better to good to worse. I suggest if you are going to watch it the first time, do no expect too much.

Mindhunter (2017–2019)
10/10
Addictive Film
18 August 2019
Mindhunter, from the start you will get hooked already. Good thing is they release it in a whole not one by one cause I will not get over in just one episode. The dialogue are good, the cast and how they portrait the serial killer are good. The choice of music is on point too. Example that Don McLean's Rendition of Crying at the ending of first episode. Just WOW.

Gave it overall a 10 cause of those things. MIND BLOWING, dialogue, intense, scene and cast.

Documentary is well-explained and gives better insight
29 July 2019
As one of people who doesn't follow the cambridge analytica case, I would like to say that within the two hours of watching it... I understand the whole or most of it. Well documented, the articles with the accurate information and with their reactions on the real-time happenings. I do think that they didn't re-do the reactions and just edited the scenes well. Nevertheless, DOCUMENTARY is WELL EXPLAINED and gave a BETTER INSIGHT.

Such a Waste
19 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I am reviewing this without comparing it with the previous versions of it. Cause that will make this film a total trash and a total waste of time.

The film started as good and while the film continues, the film gets boring and boring. Plus the bad CGI, a non-sense chase scene, and some of the actors are not helpful at all they are like narrating the lines. Also what's wrong with the Ballet Dancer's Attitude and personality? Maybe cause he got only a few scenes and lines JK. The only thing I like in this movie is the Camera, Kenneth Brannagh and Johnny Depp's act.

Kind of Donnie Darko's Ladder
19 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
If you haven't watch this Film watch it. And if you haven't watch Donnie Darko and Jacob's Ladder watch them also.

This film will mess your head up and make you think what is really going on. I recommend it to those who seek Mysteries. The film is good and for me, I already watched Donnie Darko and Jacob's Ladder and my conclusion is it's kind of Like Donnie Darko's Twist with Jacob's Ladder's Story, with the Art Concept.

NOT THE PITCH PERFECT ANYMORE
27 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
What I mean about the headline is the story isn't about the title anymore. Long story short is the story didn't give us what the Pitch Perfect used to be. Plot was executed so fast and so sudden without introduction.

The Pitch Perfect shouldn't ended like this, it became an action movie that wasn't about music. Not good for me, I think the most of the viewers are not contented in this last franchise. T_T

All Hail Christian Bale(TROLL KINGS OPINION)
19 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I just watched it earlier(01/19/2018). American Hustle was doesn't have a good story, and has so many characters that wasn't supposed to be there. The plot was so disappointing, but I like the 'hustle' meaning in this film though.

Christian Bale is the only thing that made me stay watching the film, not that I'm a fan but I love his acting, he successfully deliver the character(not including the way that he made himself bigger/fat).

Overall I rated it high even though the plot was not enough or lack, it's because of how great some characters that give themselves to it and made me feel the what the character is feeling, Big example is when Christian Bale (Irving) was talking with Jeremy Renner(Polito) and got chased out from their house because it's all his fault from the start.

Visually Stunning(TROLL KINGS OPINION)
18 January 2018
Youth is one of the movies that will visually manipulate you to know the story without even a written lyrics, I love the tableaus in the beginning of the film and how the story and character develop. Also, the story is well derive and will make you see how characters evolve from time to time.

Stunning like the others (TROLL KINGS OPINION)
18 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Jigsaw is another stunning and a wonderful film in the franchise. Even though, the story got a fast pace, it will still give a good twist in the end just like the other Saw Movies.

Others will surely hate the movie because of what was said on the last Saw Movie (Saw 3D) it supposedly the last one. Well, there are some scenes that was not supported on the other saw movie (Ex. He helps John Kramer to built the stuff that was used to play the game), but without comparing it to other Saw, it was overall a good Film.

Another Mystery Thriller that must be watch!!! (Troll Kings Opinion)
16 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The Snowman was a good film in its genre. At the start of the story, you would be thinking that harry is the Snowman base on the past that was visually given to you like it was his past. It has a good story with a good cast.

The others rate it low, maybe because of the fast pacing and so many characters that was not developed in the latter part. But that was the mystery of it, and maybe others didn't appreciate it. :(

From my perspective, The Snowman was written more like a Mystery than a Thriller and they did a Good Job in this film.

TROLL KINGS OPINION
10 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
If you are into thriller, watch it. But, I guarantee you that the flow of the story was not good. Script was not executed clearly and so many changes of emotions, like it was skipping time but it wasn't. Red is always changing characteristic casually, and the other character are a bit of over acting. I'm not a hater, but The Chamber isn't thrilling or something interesting. It's like written geniusly at the start and the end, but the body is not that convincing.

THE TROLL KINGS OPINION
6 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
At first glance and when I saw the trailer, I knew that I will not watch it. But still I watch it out of my curiosity. The concept is obviously from the other Movie, but the thing that make it it's own is the comedy and how Tree adapt to what is happening to her. Happy Death Day is fun to watch and somewhat mind twisting movie. I think if you've watched so many crime and Mystery Movies you will instantly know who is her killer from the 3rd time she die and when you saw the candle that lit the fire to blow the police car.

Happy Death Day is one of the Movie you should watch if you are into Mystery, but if you are into a Movie that you will re-watch again this is not that kind of Movie. And still Happy Death Day is a good Movie and had an extremely unique Comedy, Mystery Movie Plot.

THE TROLL KING'S OPINION
5 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I like how they cast Jon Berthal as the Boyfriend so that it will look like he is the killer. Almost all the people will think like that cause of his other movies where he always does the bad thing. And also is it me or there is others there that would think that Cory (Jeremy Renner) is the Killer, this is before the apperance of Jon Berthal cause when he appeared I also thinks that he is the one but after several minutes you will clearly know what really happens. It also made my mind that Cory is the killer cause of how the clues where introduced, and his past story.

Overall the movie IS great, it will made the viewers think and drama give the expression at the later part "SO THATS WHAT HAPPEN".

Arrival (II) (2016)
4/10
Plot and Review
7 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is okay.

Yah I get the meaning of arrival, but don't get why there are so many questions need to answer. The butterfly effect doesn't apply here. Why? **SPOILER** First, there is this ARRIVAL of the aliens and Louise Banks was one of the best translator or whatever they need. Then so many thing happens like there is first you think it's flashback but it's not I will tell that later. The mystery here is what is that flashback, who is the father the daughter(Hannah) saying. But even it's not the end, I could tell it's Ian Donnelly so that breaks the mystery(- points there). The butterfly effect doesn't apply :), how the hell she knows what to say to General Shang if she doesn't know it after all. She just gain the information after going to the future. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN IF SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY? Then the mystery of there is Daughter that first you think it's flashback that was later it was the future that she was seeing that was not necessary need to be hidden all the time if the mystery was who is the father? And there are questions un-answered, why the alien visits the earth if they just want to tell that Louise has the gift or whatever, seriously? And Forest Whitaker as cast is a bait!!!!

Plot and Review
7 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The film was good but seriously what is the purpose of the title?

NEVER GO BACK, Why? And then there's this father-daughter issue that was never a good plot in an action film. The action was GOOD, but the film was not GOOD. What is the meaning?

The action was GOOD; we cannot remove that from Tom Cruise, he is good at this. But the film was not Good; The plot is flat, means it's normal and was already been used to many films. The never go back title also doesn't apply, never go back but the half of the film was filmed outside his city. There is a major who cannot fight, a daughter that was not seriously needed and was not really his daughter.
